I explained that I had a partial blokage in my outside drain and was told was it would be £150 but if they had to use specialist equipment it would be an extra £79. The guy arrived in shorts and vest top, sat in his van doing whatever before he came to the door. He looked at the drain and explained what he was going to do. He then went off to get changed and get ready to start. He used a pressure hose to clear the blockage, which didn't work. He then informed me that they would have to use a camera, which was another £125, which I didn't have. He then got changed again and sat in his van doing paperwork. He presented me a bill for £304. When I asked for a breakdown he explained he charged me from the time he arrived at the property which was 1 hour and 21 minutes even though the job took less than an hour. £150 for the 1st hour then £75 for every half an hour over. It took less than an hour for him to complete the work. He also stated that using the pressure hose was specialist equipment. That like a gardener coming to do your garden and them charging you for the use of gardening tools. They never solved the problem and I was £304 worse off. I wouldn't recommend this company as I felt that they just want to rip you off.

I would highly recommend rapid drains. From the initial phone call, they were friendly, reliable and kept me informed about when they would be arriving with accurate time frames. Once the young gentleman arrived at the property, he clearly explained what he was going to do and associated prices. At no point was I pressurised into paying for an additional task, it was clear this was my decision. He worked hard and diligently, keeping me informed at all stages. He fixed the problem and came up with solutions for others. Thank you

Complete time wasters. Booked an appointment and waited in. After the appointment time they rang as said they had power steering issues and would come the following day. Next day waited in until the scheduled time missing an appointment to do so. Once again no show, ignored call and email chasing up. Husband rang from another number, answered immediately. Apparently another "issue' has arisen so they werent coming. No communication, clearly had no intention of coming. AVOID!

Sam was friendly and helpful and arrived earlier than originally promised preceded by a phone call. Drain problem quickly identified and Sam then spent time clearing it. He pointed out problem with slight damage to drain and then rang water company as drain was their problem. Couldn't ask for more.

Sam came out the same day to try to resolve my blocked toilet. Although he identified a bigger problem requiring the Housing Management's involvement his service was friendly, supportive and understanding. I would definitely recommend him.

Due to having a blocked drain l called out a company to assess the problem. I was advised that ALL the pipes on my property needed replacing and this could be achieved by a lining process within the old pipes. The quote given was £1600+VAT.
I contacted Rapid Drains for another quote and survey. Sam from RD advised me that there was only an issue with some of the pipes not all. The quotation given by Sam was less than half of the first quote.
I found Sam to be honest and reliable. The work was carried out efficiently with any mess being cleared up. I would highly recommend this company.
