Good luck if something goes wrong
Always was happy with Raise (now GCX) until the very first time I had a problem. I bought three gift cards from one merchant in one order, none of which worked. I immediately submitted a report through the customer service bot (the only customer service available), screenshots and all. Twice my submittal was lost/ignored. When I inquired about the status of my submittal to confirm it was received, I was told by the bot to submit details yet again. I refused and that prompted an email telling me to (again) submit the details. I did once more (time #3). Then, a few days later (now over a week after my initial report) I got an email telling me that while one card could be refunded, the other two - because the error message suggested the card had been used - could not, unless I provided "written confirmation" from the merchant that I had not deposited the funds into my own account. So they sold me the defective cards, but put it on me to go chase the merchant's customer service to get some kind of written statement.
I then spent three days going back and forth with the merchant trying to get this statement. This was very frustrating - although in fairness, the situation was not the merchant's fault, and this was an unusual thing for me to be requesting.
I gave up eventually, sent Raise/GCX a screenshot showing no deposits into my account with the merchant, and still did not get any action. Not knowing what else to do, I wrote the Better Business Bureau and also disputed the charge with my credit card company. Then, miraculously, the merchant sent something noting the cards had been deposited into someone else's account. I sent this information to GCX/Raise and the remaining balance was refunded.
While this is a happy ending, we're coming up on two weeks later; this took a huge amount of time and effort to resolve - cutting extensively into my personal time. For a card of moderate value, it is simply not worth the energy it takes to do all this - which is exactly what they are hoping, that you will give up and go away. A "guarantee" should not require this much work to enforce (it is not really a guarantee but an opportunity to petition for relief), and a little more help/responsiveness is required after taking someone's money and providing them something with literally zero value in exchange. Good luck if this ever happens to you! I am going to be very cautious in the future about Raise/GCX.

I would definitely not recommend
I would definitely not recommend! I have purchased numerous trips at auctions and have never had an issue redeeming until now. Their process says you will be notified within 3-4 business days but it's been 3 weeks. I have called and only received a recorded message, emailed twice - one response saying they are backed up and if you submit more than one request you will be moved to the back of the line...
My planned trip is now a month away and I can't book airfare
Will never bid on an item through this company again

Selling on Raise is worse than having all your teeth pulled without anesthesia
Impossible to set up an account to sell.
Background - I am an old buyer on Raise. They used to have the best prices, competition did better, so I moved on. Recently, I tried to set up a seller account and it has been a ridiculously complex process.
Over several weeks and after a dozen+ emails and chats, still a no-go. Problems involve failure to receive confirmation/verification/id text messages. Then failure in accessing the required verification webpage (wheel keeps spinning). And inability to log on - I get a new device message and verification text message requirement that I do not receive.
The fix - change your phone number. Do that and I do not get the verification text message on the second phone. The fix - change your phone number. Great... except that I do not have 83 phone numbers to fall back on.
There is no reason for this to be so difficult.

$50 Ulta Certificate
Recently purchased a $50 Ulta gift certificate, smooth process, and the Clerk at Ulta was very familiar with the redemption process (which I was surprised about). Will purchase in the future. I was a little disappointed reading about purchasing actual gift cards in the reviews as I've had no experience with that.

BEWARE
BEWARE: Received a gift card with a $0 balance. Contacted the company immediately after placing the order and receiving the faulty gift card. They did not listen, accused me of lying, and were just the worst customer service representatives I’ve ever had to deal with. Atrocious company stealing money from honest customers. I’ve now had to fight the claim with my credit card company- luckily they seem more intelligent and understand the documents I’ve sent so I should be able to get my money back.

I have been waiting to talk to someone…
I have been waiting to talk to someone all day. I sold them gift cards and have not been paid. I get the same answer there is a problem or a delay but no one will tell me what it is or how to correct it. I get an AI who gives me the same answer for the last 8 hours. So frustrating: UPDATED THEY RESPONDED AND I GOT MY MONEY. THANK YOU

Broken System
I bought a Panera Bread $60 gift card and only used it once for a value around $9 and in two months I was surprised the gift card value went to $0. I called Panera for the concern and they told me,
"There was a request for a reverse charge for this gift card ending in 6956. While I cannot see who made the request, I do see that the card was devalued. The funds were returned to the original payment for the purchase of the gift card."
Then I emailed Raise Market Place for the concern and they told me that "We regret to inform you that we are currently outside of our Service Level Agreement (SLA) for your request"
This is unacceptable, I am not going to be the victim of your broken system so fix it.

Raise sold me a fraudulent gift card
Raise sold me a fraudulent gift card, the vendor cancelled the balance because they were charged back from the original purchaser. I have contacted support multiple times and received no response after several days.

False advertisement!
I have been using Raise for years and its a hit n miss on items. Yesterday I received an email about their semi annual sale. The site does not match what is offered in the email. I chatted with an agent who told me it would be corrected later that night or the follow morning and to check back. Here we are in the evening of the following day and its still wrong. I did another chat and was told the team that works on that is gone for the day and they can open a ticket. But also said to check the dates... umm I already said the email doesnt have dates, then refers me to the site. What is the site going to say??? THE POINT IS THAT ITS WRONG ON THE SITE FROM THE EMAIL! I feel like they send out email promotions just to get you to the site and hope you dont notice and still place an order. When it works its a great site but WHEN IT WORKS.

Technical issues with Raise!
Promo code was given but i cannot login to my account to apply it. Asked my girlfriend to open an account. She logged in and used her Promo code to place the order successfully. And then the next day, it was cancelled, and both our accounts are locked. No way to reach the company. Horrible bait and switch on their promotions and then the nerve to cancel an order after it was successfully placed. It's a rotten company and the poor reviews here are justified.

Paid $100, Received $0 Balance - Buy Elsewhere!!
Purchased $100 eBay gift card (Card ID: Z8352-0512-1187), the card has a $0 balance. I've tried to resolve the issue with Raise, but there is no way to get in touch with an actual person. All I've gotten is an automated response saying their "specialist team" would be in touch shortly - they have not. Over 24 hrs and they haven't even acknowledged the issue. Raise used to be way better, but unfortunately the company has clearly changed for the worst. There are plenty of other companies offering the same as Raise, I strongly suggest taking your business elsewhere.

Poor service
Poor service. Do not expect any support after you purchase a gift card. Scammer sell their card on Raise and then report it stolen. Last week, I purchased 300 dollar Walmart gift card and used it only for 90 dollars and Walmart blocked the card on fraud report. Raise Order Number: R477115422. Raise support team refused refund saying that card is redeemed in my state. This is the perfect scenario where 1 year money back claim is a lie.

HORRIBLE SELL EXPERIENCE
Part of Raise sell process was to upload a copy of my driver's license, front and back. They send a text to start the upload process. Twice, I uploaded it and it was marked success by the software and then I get a message from Raise that they cannot read it. Of course, it takes hours between messages because they don't offer a phone number. I used a different company for this.

Raise is a thieving company
Raise is first to tell that they have a year guarantee but what they fail to tell is if you let your card go past that year your card will all of the sudden have a zero balance or suddenly the card can’t be found. They won’t tell in their advertising that they take the value back if you don’t spend it within a year which I think they should be made to state it in their advertising. A product you buy may come with a years warranty but typically the don’t come steal your lawnmower after the year, a gift card should be no different. It’s amazing how they use tricks to steal your money from you and they will always use their advertising slogan of a years warranty. They won’t admit they steal it after the year though.

I have been using Raise for years
I have been using Raise for years to purchase gift cards. Yesterday I purchased a Ace Hardware gift card that was invalid.
I contacted customer support and today they advised they would credit my credit card and apologized for this incident. This is the first time in years I received an invalid gift card from them.
I will continue to use them as they are a reputable and trustworthy company.

Don't use this 3rd party company
I purchased a $300 Air Bnb gift card for a family member, and when they went to use it, the balance was zero. After their "guarantee period" despite having proof of purchase, proof of receiving the e-card, the access codes etc., the company has made the funds unavailable on the e-gift card, and reports they cannot help. Very disappointing experience.

SCAM
I purchased a Panera Bread gift card (Card ID: Z9661-8915-6468) with a value of $50 from their website. However, when I attempted to use the gift card, I discovered that the balance was $0.
Immediately, I reached out to Raise's customer support team to report the issue and seek a resolution. Despite my efforts to contact them, it has been three days since I raised the complaint, and I have not received any response from their team. This lack of communication and timely support is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their commitment to customer satisfaction.
I plan to initiate a chargeback with my credit card company if I do not receive a satisfactory resolution or the product I paid for by the end of this week. Run!

They lie thru their teeth
They lie thru their teeth, they are control freaks, and supposedly the best card site out there. Beware they are nothing but fraud and a scam!
your bullies you cancelled my account for no just reason. you lied and never got back to me.
order R465253184 I tell you, you need you to enter card manually im told by phone from the card issuer.
48 hrs passes I say, still waiting for your response 48 hrs ago.
Then you tell me, Dear Doug,
I hope this message finds you well. We regret to inform you that we are currently outside of our Service Level Agreement (SLA) for your request and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
To streamline our communication during this period, we kindly request that you refrain from sending multiple emails for the same request. Our team is actively addressing the issue and working towards a resolution.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to get back within our SLA.

a big lie you've never dealt with it. Nor done anything to help.
And my card expired end of Feb. So it can not be used I had $100 left on it due to your lie it expired w/o my ability to use it up.
Are you gonna compensate me for this nightmare you caused??
On 2/28 I email back informing you, card expires Thursday, will not be good March 1st.
Still unresolved, nope this is a public matter now. So if you wish to resolve it you must do so here. I'm not emailing anyone in private.

This company lie when they says they…
This company lie when they says they have a 365 day guarantee for their gift cards. I bought an ACE gift card that had no balance on it exactly 10 days ago and they will not refund my money. They lie some more when they say they will have an update for me within 7 days. They lie again when they say they will expedite the case and have a resolution in within 24hrs. They have gone silent and will not return my email. They scam people by selling them invalid cards. Do not buy from them.
