A masterclass in minimalist, distraction-free bookmark curation.

Deep full-text article indexing requires their paid tier to run smoothly, but Raindrop is an exceptional tool for anyone looking to escape chaotic data management. The onboarding flow is frictionless, organizing your research into an uncluttered, breathable space completely devoid of dark patterns, push alerts, or algorithmic scrolling designed to manufacture artificial engagement. It prioritizes intentional consumption over toxic growth hacking and genuinely respects your digital boundaries. Highly recommended for conscious professionals who need a clean, stable repository to curate technical research mindfully.

Very reliable (on desktop), though sometimes unstable

I find that Raindrop is the best bookmark and "read later" manager, and it having a desktop app and file uploads is very convenient for me. It is very reliable when I am on a laptop or desktop, however on the iOS version on safari I have had consistent login issues (though I rarely use it on safari so I don't really care).

I have found that when I am trying to download my bookmarks or saved files, it can sometimes be unstable or just not work. When I have bookmarks or files selected, I'll go "Export -> Zip file" and click, but nothing happens except for the export menu closing.

I use this every day

I use this every day, and it's excellent. The service is really responsive, it's very easy to organize bookmarks, it works everywhere (mobile, browser). I really can't recommend this highly enough.

Love the save features

Love the save features. After pocket closed, I needed a new place to save my stories that I find at feedly. I went through the other save-later apps but found them all to be lacking some major features. Raindrop has most of them and seem to be working on bringing more in. I wish their support team was a little more public in terms of releasing blog posts and updates.

Unique & Creative

Raindrop is by far one of the top bookmark managing Apps. It keeps all your favorite collections, links, and files organized in a way that is creative & fun.

I love knowing all my favorite pictures and videos are safe and easy to find. It is definately worth having and it can be personalized to fit an individual personality.

Thank you for creating such a unique App and I always look forward to using it.

Thank You,

Potential To Be A Superb Tab Manager

A great bookmark app, but missing a few functions.
Here are the features and functions that are needed/missing:
There is a major issue with doing a restore from my previous backups. The restore process does not copy the folder structure as it was from the backup. I had groups with folders that are now not in the same location as before the restore. They are showing in the left "tree", but not in the location where they are supposed to be. Also a major critical FLAW, all my folder icons (that I spent a lot of time setting up, are gone). They never got restored. That was never mentioned anywhere in the documentation.
This also happens when importing data from a different app into Raindrop. (even though the import file shows the tree structure intact.) I just did an import from Skeema in (HTML format), and the categories came through but all the bookmarks were just put into the "unsorted" collection. All the imported folders and nested folders are empty. How do I fix this issue? I do have a subscription that according to the documentation should have that option available.

Each open window does not show by itself in the apps menu window. I have 6 open windows with many tabs, and NONE of the open windows or tabs show in the Raindrop app anywhere (except in the "all bookmarks" list), but are not sub-sorted into each window where the bookmarks/tabs are located. (There should be a "sort" by "open windows" option). None of my open windows show up in the app, all of the open windows show up in the other apps I have used, but not in this app. How do I save tabs from each separate open window into a new collection/folder? How to save the tabs in the current open window (session), to a "collection", if they are not even visible because the open window is not showing anywhere in the app? Why does the app not have a menu column/list for separate "open browser windows"? (see Tabmanager.io) There should be a way to show all of the content of open session windows along with all the content of saved session windows in the main "list view" screen. (needs a "session history" menu), so new current session tabs and groups can be dragged and dropped into previously saved session windows collections. Active session browser windows are not offered to merge with a saved session window in the left menu box (to update the folder/window), for example, move all my saved YouTube tabs into a saved window of choice. Being able to merge a current window into a prior collection project window would be a great feature. (this is possible in Tabmanager.io app). I do not see a "merging function" option in the app.

Also, there is no "save tab groups " option that even shows up in the app. I also do not see any way to add individual " tab groups" to any collections/groups/nested folders. There should be a way to save "tabbed groups" to a "nested folder" in a collection. I think this is a critical missing feature. also, it would be great if you could add a function to add "tab groups" to the "add tabs list" to the pop-up box menu. I think that would solve the issue. I would think the app would have this function integrated by now.

There is no way to save a range or group of "highlighted selected tabs", ("shift + click" or "crtl + shift" a group of tabs next to each other) (ie. save (3 tabs), without saving all (17) of the tabs in the address bar.) The app wants to save every tab in the bar. Right now, I can only save each related tab one at a time in a collection. There needs to be more options on saving tabs in the tutorial. (Developer reply: Unfortunately highlighted tabs list is not detected yet. Will be improved in future updates. 7/19/2024).
I do not see any way to change the color of the "group" names (or collection font colors or sizes), so they stand out. Right now, they are only a "dull" gray color, very hard to see it. What is the difference between the clipper and mini app? (not much of a tutorial about the feature).

In conclusion, the app is really great, except for all the "needed functions" that are not available. if the missing features/functions were added, the app would be a superb 5-star app.

Most useful software

Honestly, this software is for me the biggest improvement for my daily work with computers since a long time!
You can save, organize, filter and search your personal Bookmarks and you have them available on all your diveces, if you want (PC, smart phone,...).
It took a while to figure out, how it works the best for me, but now I don't want to miss raindrop anymore.
The free version is already very good, but I updated to pro, to support the good development!

Migliore piattaforma di bookmarks manager, ma... / Best bookmarks manager platform, but...

- assente la multiselezione delle cartelle tramite tasto "shift"; è possibile visualizzare solo i collegamenti di ogni cartella; nell'elenco collegamenti, non vengono visualizzate le sottocartelle, vanno selezionate singolarmente dall'elenco della raccolta;
il tasto "shift" nell'elenco dei collegamenti funziona selezionando solo la casellina;
- è possibile aggiungere un link ai preferiti, ma assente l'assegnazione di una priorità come importante e non è possibile fissarli in cima alla lista (pinned), ma è possibile comunque il trascinamento libero dei collegamenti; assente il trascinamento multiplo di più cartelle selezionate in altri gruppi e cartelle di altri gruppi, nemmeno selezionando le caselline;
- assente il contatore delle cartelle dinamico, ma presente quando vengono selezionate tutte le cartelle;

(english version)
Though there is a Premium version available, I find that the platform is still lacking some useful features. It is the best for managing a high workflow with numerous saved pages, and I prefer it over several others because it has certain features that other platforms do not have, like the ability to import .html files while keeping previously created folders and subfolders in the same order.
I proceeded to report it both within the platform and by sending a communication via email (to the developer in September 2023), no response and no consideration:

- no multi-selection of folders via the "shift" key; you can view only the links of each folder; in the links list, the subfolders are not displayed, they must be selected individually from the collection list; the "shift" key in the list of links works by selecting only the checkbox;
- links can be added to favorites, but they cannot be pushed to the head of the list or given a priority of important, nonetheless, you can still to drag the links about freely;
- no multiple dragging: of multiple selected folders into other groups or folders of other groups, not even selecting the boxes;
- folder counter absent, but present when all folders are selected;
- the folders' "expansion" and "collapse" features are missing, necessitating manual opening and closing each time; WARNING: There is just "collapse" available when you click on the group; however, it expands all of the folders rather than closing them (since "true" was specified in the code rather than "false").
- The "select" option is not available in the "click on favorite" options, nor can it be freely selected elsewhere in the link; instead, it can only be selected by checking the box and adjusting the settings.
