Zero stars if I could.
I paid on Saturday for two simple jobs at Quick Print—250 business cards (300 gsm silk, “24-hour” turnaround) and three copies of my three-page CV—yet they managed to flub every step.
Pricing tricks
• In-store quote for the cards: £80.
• Same job on their own site—thicker 450 gsm stock, same “24 h” service: £63.
• CV quote: an absurd £2 per page—£18 for nine sheets of plain A4.
Missed “24-hour” promise
Cards were finally pushed across the counter at 12 pm on Tuesday, nearly three days late—barely three hours before my 3:30 pm interview. Paying extra for 24-hour service should not mean sweating until the last minute.
Non-existent quality control
The cards had a blotchy, two-tone background instead of the solid colour in my file. When I rejected them, the manager ordered me to take the flawed cards as-is or pay again for their redesign service plus a fresh print run, all while blaming my PDF (never mind that they supplied the template).
£2-a-page extortion, then retaliation
They’d just quoted that eye-watering rate for my CV, but when I wouldn’t accept the defective cards, they refused to print the CV at any price.
I walked out with no prints and a refund request, having wasted time, money, and patience. Quick Print fails on price, speed, quality, and professionalism. Spare yourself the stress—go literally anywhere else.
Update: I ended up ordering the cards on Moo.com using the same file. And the prints came out beautifully. They have better quality paper at lower prices. I ordered the "Rounded Soft Touch Super Business" and the quality is extremely good, specially the colours.
