Do not but quantum fiber
Honestly the worst internet you could possibly get the service is horrible and the installation is terrible. They claim that you can get 8000mbps yet i cant even get 100. The bandwidth is so restricting too.
Service so bad it's shameful
Service so bad it's shameful. Wifi cuts out multiple times per hour, sometimes in quick succession. Network speed is wildly inconsistent at all times of day, and sometimes downright unusable. Seems to also connect poorly with certain network adapters, as anytime I try to troubleshoot on the pc end all errors point to the router, which seems to be functioning as designed, poorly.
Sleazy sales reps that knock doors
Sleazy sales reps that knock doors. No shame in deceiving anybody they can deceive.
SCAM and terrible customer service
SCAM and terrible customer service. They FORCE you to move from Centurylink (where we had stellar service for 15 years) to this garbage company Quantum Fiber. Supposedly under the same "parent" company. On the call with the Customer Service rep, I can hear at least three other reps speaking to other customers and their entire conversations. I can also hear the keyboard clickity clacking. News flash - did you know there are headsets that cancel out background noise??? No help, being billed TWICE for both Centurylink and Quantum Fiber with each of them transferring me back and forth between their two companies without resolution. Neither of them can tell you what my account number is with either company or how to locate it in the app or on the computer. Complete clown show. I am disputing the double payment. As soon as I can find a replacement ISP, I will move away from BOTH. Good bye.
BE CAREFUL - Takes $ Where They Don't Offer Service!
BE CAREFUL - DO NOT TRUST! On 11/04/25 we made an appointment service installation on 11/10/25, and paid the $80.00 fee. On 11/10/25, the appointment was cancelled by Quantum Fiber, stating they don't actually service the area, but not worry, it's coming soon. As this was an urgent safety matter, we asked for a refund. They told us they'd be out the following week and to call back if they cancelled again. Essentially, they refused to refund the money. We installed the internet from a different company and have tried to procure a refund from Quantum. As of 12/03/25 Quantum has not refunded our money. We've spent over 90 minutes on hold over two calls, and been disconnected prior to speaking with a representative both times. This seems like insane behavior from a large company; not knowing they don't service the area before taking a payment for said service, and refusing to refund money when they don't actually have a plan to install the service anytime soon. Calling the city confirmed they do not yet have a permit for the area, so it's certainly not "coming soon". It's obvious fraud, but why? It's very strange, and not worth spending anymore time to resolve, but we think you deserve to be told!
I've had spotty service since getting…
I've had spotty service since getting it installed a couple months ago. I'm finding that I have to reset the modem alot. Now I've pretty much have had no service for 5 days, tech support keeps having me repeat the reboot steps. I know they're going through a checklist but my internet still doesn't work. Now I have to wait a couple more days before I can get a technician out. This doesn't work for me because I do alit of my business from home.
I've had to go into my app and in my account profile, the equipment serial numbers don't match what I have. The tech says they're correct. My profile also shows over 20 devices connected, I only have about 4 devices I use. They didn't even seemed concerned about that.
I don't see good reviews about Comcast but they're starting to look like a better option.
Better than CenturyLink But Anything Would Be Better Than CenturyLink
After having CenturyLink for my internet and landline for many years, I got fed up with the ongoing issues with my phone and/or internet being out (in August 2023 my internet was out for TEN days) and switched to Quantum Fiber August 2025. The young fellow who came out to do the install apparently was a subcontractor (he arrived in an unmarked vehicle). He had to climb up the pole across the alley and was hesitant to do so, citing safety concerns. I told him that I have had many techs over the years come out because of service issues and none expressed concern about climbing up the pole. He managed to scale the pole and do whatever was needed. He told me he would have to drill a couple holes through my siding to put the cables/wires through. Once he did that and got the two devices hooked up, there were internet issues so he had to call the office (I believe that was twice). Because of "porting" my phone #, my phone wouldn't be transferred to QF until a week later. After the installer left, I noticed that there were white spots on the siding (looked like caulking material) around the two holes he drilled. There were also a couple of "splats" of this white material --looked like some of the caulking had dripped further down on the siding (one splat was about the size of a nickel) that the guy never cleaned up. He also gave me his name/phone # and said if I had any issues in the next few days to call him directly.
A few days later when the trash truck came down the alley, it snagged the QF line that went overhead from my house to the pole on the other side of the alley. The line was hanging down but it was still attached to my house and the pole so I still had internet. I called or texted the installer and relayed what happened. When I finally heard from him, he asked me to send pics so he could verify it was the QF line. I did so and he then responded that, yup, it was the QF line. Then he informed me that he wouldn't be able to come out that day or the next because he had taken time off to resolve personal things. So I ended up calling customer service. A middle-aged tech came out in a CenturyLink truck (CL and QF are both owned by Lumen Technologies). He was unimpressed with the install and fixed or replaced something at the box on the outside of the house. When I mentioned the installer came in an unmarked vehicle, the CL guy said the installer was probably a subcontractor. There were a couple more issues the next few days which required someone to come into my house and look at the set up. Since then there haven't been any major issues. However, there have been several times when my internet is out. If I reboot my computer, it comes back up. This month (11/2025) my internet has been out 13 (!) times. Each time it came back up after rebooting. It's inconvenient but because it's better than CL and the internet comes back up with rebooting, I'm going to stay with QF for the moment.
Absolutely terrible customer service
Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. Our internet went out, and after speaking with multiple customer service agents, we were told the issue was caused by one of our pods. They claimed they would send a replacement, but refused to provide tracking information despite several follow-ups. It took over a month for the package to arrive.
When it finally did, it wasn’t even the correct item , they sent us a router we never requested, and it didn’t include any power cords. We called customer service again to confirm whether this was the right product, and the agent kept telling us to “plug it in” even after we explained multiple times that the device didn’t come with a power cord. The agent eventually hung up on us.
To make things worse, we later received a text saying we would be charged $200 if we didn’t return the original pods… even though they are the ones who sent the wrong equipment.
This company is completely disorganized, unreliable, and a waste of money. The customer service is unhelpful, uninformed, and shows no accountability. Avoid this company if you can
Quantum Fiber Internet is the WORST
Quantum Fiber Internet is the WORST! Our Quantum Internet went down last Thursday night. I spent all friday morning on 5 different phone calls. All Customer Service Reps were from some other country and I could not UNDERSTAND ANY OF THE SERVICE REPS! They finally decided that I needed a New Terminal which would be sent to me in 7 to 14 days!
When you have a SMART HOME EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED TO THE DOWNED QUANTUM INTERNET, e.g. the FURNACE WENT DOWN, All Computers Down, Home Security System is Down, Cellular Phone Service has been MINIMAL. NOTHING WORKS WITHOUT INTERNET!
I told Quantum WAITING 2 weeks for QUANTUM to REPLACE a terminal is UNACCEPTABLE! I asked for OVERNIGHT DELIVERY, THEY ANSWERED NOPE! Well luckily I searched and found TDS which does provides 24 hour service if your internet goes down! Today they come to install the new system! Quantum just lost my business. Furthermore, Quantum had just CHARGED MY Credit Card for this months service!! No Quantum DOES NOT GIVE REFUNDS EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NOT PROVIDING ANY SERVICE!! QUANTUM FIBER INTERNET IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY WITHOUT ANY UNDERSTANDABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS!!
price for life plan fraud
I signed up for a price for life plan, but they have raised my rates twice. Total billing fraud. They lie and tell you you're on a flat rate plan and use the price for life just to get you signed up.
They cancelled my service w/out telling me
They cancelled my service with no warning. The internet was always slow and their customer service is downright atrocious. I am thankful to be switching honestly. Do not recommend
Urgent: Ongoing Service Outage & Unreturned Calls
I just moved into a new place that uses Quantum Fiber, and I’ve been without internet since November 15th. Three full days with no service. I opened a case yesterday and was told someone would call me...no call, no voicemail, no email.
When I followed up today, I was told “someone tried to contact you,” but there were zero missed calls or messages. The call center escalated it and said I’d receive a call within 30 minutes. Two hours passed and again, nothing. When I reached someone again, I was told a note was sent to a technician to “expedite,” but I still just have to wait with no updates.
The lack of communication and accountability is honestly ridiculous. I’m a manager myself, and I would never leave a customer hanging like this. If this is the level of service new customers can expect, it’s extremely disappointing. I still have no internet, no answers, and no timeframe for when this will be fixed.
Some of the worst customer service I…
Some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I have called them 6-7 times, spent countless hours on the phone with no real resolution.
No service, no support
I am 8 days into no internet connection after I was involuntarily moved from CenturyLink to Quantum Fiber. Their tech support is useless. They also screwed up my payment during the transfer and had the nerve to insist on me spending time to fix their mistake before they would schedule a needed technician visit. It's hard to imagine worse service and support.
Quatum Fiber is worthless
What started as fairly good reliability has gone to completely unreliable and the customer service is useless.
I've been dealing with severe intermittent outages for the past four months and they never send a tech to my location in West Seattle.
I was on a call this evening and I couldn't hear the tech because there appeared to be a party of girls in the background laughing, not kidding, unbelievable.
SCAM!!
SCAM!!! Do not make a plan with Quantum FCK Ups. Their internet sucks, literally had an outage for 11 days. No internet for 11 days!!! It was so bad that they swapped our routers to Century Link. Same internet company by the way and it’s still not good. Only reason I have this shitty internet service is because our apartment had a contract with them (Big mistake on their end). Also we returned all the routers. Contacted them several times giving them the tracking info for the shipping, explained to them that our routers swapped. Support said they would not charge us. And guess what? they STILL charge $340.00 to the bank account!!!! Hope to never do business with these idiots again.
Horrible company… DO NOT TRUST
Horrible company… DO NOT TRUST. They go door-to-door as if they own your home with a no trespassing sign clearly visible. EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL!!!
Total garbage company
Total garbage company. I had CenturyLink for years. They automatically switched me to QuantumFiber with no notice and managed to brick my router. Customer service was terrible. Avoid at all costs
Avoid these guys
Avoid these guys! They cancelled my plan without my permission because someone incorrectly stated online that they were moving into my address when creating their own account. Instead of telling that person that there's already an existing customer at that address, or instead of checking with me to verify that I was no longer planning on living at that address, they just cancelled my service and closed my account. I had just paid my most recent bill with them 2 days prior and they left me without Internet and cancelled my service through no fault of my own. Then, their customer service reps were not helpful at all and had zero resolution for fixing the issue, nor could they offer any assurances that this wouldn't happen again in the future. They essentially stated that anyone who accidentally (or purposely) enters my address into their online portal can just terminate my account without any safeguards protecting me as a customer. Absolutely insane and shameful business practices.
