Liars and poor customer service

I have been with Quantum fiber for a while now. Install was on time but they left all the cables above ground. It took a couple phone calls to get them back to bury it like was contracted. There was supposed to be to be 1000 MBPS. It really is usually around 500 to 600. After several months the WI-FI POD quit working. I have contacted them so many times I lost count. They do not give two shakes if a rats ass that their system is not working. They always tell you the escalation team will contact you. That never happens. When they tell you escalation team just know you just had smoke blown up your backside. The last person said they would overnight one. That was a week ago. Today they confirmed nothing has been done

Good price, fast speed, excellent service.

Installed March 2025 near Minneapolis, MN. Advertised speed for $50/mo lifetime guaranteed: 500Mps up and down. Actual: 400-470Mps which is about 10x as fast as the $45/mo Comcast cable it replaced. More importantly, it always works. They supply extension routers at no charge but I kept my existing mesh network.

I've had 3 contacts with their support. They're always knowledgeable, polite, and fluent in English.

My landscaper accidentally tore up the buried cable. Quantum's tech came out re-connected me within 21 hours at no charge.

They rely on an external company to bury the fiber cable to your house and I've been disappointed. They needed 2.5 months to bury the temporary line left above ground by the installation technician. It was an eyesore and was chewed up by critters. When they finally buried it, they didn't bother to connect it. They simply cut my working temporary line and left. So no internet from Thursday to Monday.

They are digustingly rude . Trust me when I tell you they have earn the one star that they have . Hanged up the phone call 3 times on me calling for a bill and I have the phone call recorded .

Rethink Your Service Provider

Had service installed and was told tech would be coming back to cover the Internet line. Person that came out screwed up and Internet went out. Was told somebody wouldn't be available until 2-3 days later to fix the issue. On the day of scheduled repair, the tech "got injured" and was unable to show. Again was told somebody wouldn't be able to come for another 2-3 days. To reconcile the issues was promised a free month of service. Was billed anyway. Called in for refund and was told there was nothing notated in the acct so now I'm furious. They are reviewing my acct after I demanded to get a supervisor involved however this is unsatisfactory as well as unacceptable. The techs nor customer service know how to do their jobs.

This company is full of liars

This company is full of liars! My bill was supposed to be $65 a month for life. It's now $85 a month. Their service is constantly out, sometimes for days in a row. It's really unfortunate that they have the fastest service around and are absolutely pitiful at managing it and treating their customers like garbage.

there's no rate for life

there's no rate for life . switched after subsidized was possably ending , operator said i keep the service and rates it did end ok then !0 months in first rate for life raise 33.33% or 10 dollars all 3 tiers in 2024 in 2025 a new fee for moving wires for a road (nothing any ware near mee is roads going in . it low cents but fees always increase . not 0ct 3 a new charge $5 for the routers gave 2 i only need 1 yet still advertising rate for life now i only $5 less than there mid tier and rate for life still advertised and they raised them $10 last yr. so if i upgrade to the faster for % more how lone will that lifetime be 6 months . xfinity is always raising or its only 1 yr plan
now why not rated 2 stars the service does work well in 2 yrs had 2 -3 outages 2 fairly brief 1 i didn't even know except got notified 3 i actually saw where worker was fixing where lines came from under ground feed to neighborhood distribution

It is the worst experience I have ever…

It is the worst experience I have ever had with a company! Most houses in our community have been without WIFI for 5 days, and today we were told that it should be working again tomorrow evening. In the 1.5 years since we have had Quantum Fiber, there have been numerous outages. I cannot recommend this service, and if I could give zero stars, I would do so immediately, one star is already too much!

Barely provides services

I’m going on two weeks waiting for someone to install my internet, after having paid, and no one ever came. No reasons, no updates. I have called them and emailed them several times, with different support numbers, and they could give no help, no explanation, and no update at all.

Great customer service experience

I had a Wonderful experience with the fiber first customer service team in Omaha Nebraska Zach and Ryan. They installed my Wi-Fi router wires exactly the way that I want it without drilling extra hose into my home and was very respectful when entering my home keeping me updated on status of installment. The work that was done was greatly appreciated.

This is the WORST experience I've ever…

This is the WORST experience I've ever had with any company. I work from home and have been experiencing my internet constantly dropping for almost a week. Took several days for them to send a technician. Technician changed the modem and my service worked for less than 10 minutes. Reached back out and after speaking with a “Supervisor” and rudely hung up on after sitting on hold for about 10 minutes, I finally got a rep that stated the account was escalated for an earlier appointment. The following day, I then receive an email that my appointment was canceled. They will NOT reinstate my appointment until I call back in tomorrow and they cannot guarantee the same date. I will NEVER NEVER EVER be a customer again or recommend this awful place.

I’m almost ready to give up and switch…

I’m almost ready to give up and switch to Xfinity.
We had century link for 6 years, if there was an outage it was only for a few minutes. All of a sudden they switched to quantum fiber and our internet randomly stopped working right at the start of my workday and workweek on a Monday ~9:30am. I had a meeting disrupted and I had to use my hotspot for the rest of the workweek, because the earliest they could get someone to fix it was on a Thursday… and even then, it still didn’t work.
If my company didn’t provide my work phone that gave me a hot spot, I would be absolutely screwed.
Quantum fiber has absolutely been screwing the technicians over by not even providing notes on what the issues are.
Today (a week later), we told them to get in touch with my husband 30 mins before arrival so my husband could leave work to make sure he’s there. They did not do that. Instead the technician called me and I’m out of town working. Because of this, the technician just left!! We probably have to wait another week to get service, the customer service and urgency with these people are not there!!!

Bad customer service and organization

Well first of all I been a customer of quantum Fiber for a year and I was happy with my service until this month they had the nerve to say that I missed a payment and I needed to make a payment immediately to avoid service interruptions so I called and they said that a payment from 4 months ago didn’t go through and that what made my payment behind and I explained that that was incorrect because i checked my account and i confirmed all the payments with my bank and have the proof to show them and the customer service agent was saying that just to pay the current amount and they will send a ticket over to the accounting department to review everything so I proceed to process the payment and when they took my payment and the agent confirmed on her end she said that everything will be okay and I can continue to enjoy my service. Well the vary next day I wake up to my internet connection gone and I had no service so I called Quantum up again and spoke to a representative and she said that my service was disconnected due to missed payment and I told her I think about 17 times I paid the bill already and the previous agent gave me a email confirming not only my payment but also the complaint ticket so the accounting department can review my account and the lady was just sounding like a complete computer so I just told her to end my service and I will be taking my money and business elsewhere and I am also going to call the BBB and PUC about the matter and she just didn’t care I will recommend not going to Quantum for anyone who is reading this review

well well another 10.00 increase this…

well well another 10.00 increase this month! we were told when we signed up that our rate would stay the price of our Century Link...when I complained about it I was told to "call customer services".. have you EVER got through to customer services ??? Hell no always 999+ callers ahead of me...NO MORE I am signing up with another service TODAY DONT TRUST THESE CLOWNS..THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND NEVER GIVE YOU NOTICE THAT YOUR BILL IS GOING UP! BIGGEST LIARS I EVER SAW! GOING TO BANK THIS MORNING TO BLOCK THEM FROM CHARGING MY ACCOUNT AGAIN!

Very poor service

Very poor service. The WiFi stayed on for a week and then went down. Technician came and told us that the wire was cut from outside and he wasn’t equipped with right kind of instrument to fix it , so someone else will come. Now since then I have had 6 different technicians come and have told me the same exact thing. It seems like nobody pays attention to the notes before they take the job, not even the area Supervisor. And still no internet.

Quantum CS called and yelled at me.

I was searching for new internet services. I checked Quantum Fiber by placing my address in their little website. They do not service my area.
The next day I receive two calls from McMinnville. I missed the first but was able to answer the second. The person who called was slurring lots of words that I didn't understand. I asked who she was with, she stated Quantum Fiber. I said that they don't service my area.
She then told me not to fill out a form. I told her I didn't fill out a form with my phone number, I only looked up my address.
She repeated not to fill out forms if I don't expect a call. Then she hung up.
I called the number back and was given the option to be placed on the Do Not Call list.

Quantum Fiber

I'm so irritated. Where do I start.
When I moved in to my new place I switch my internet from Century link to Quantum Fiber (4 months this month). This 2 internet companies are from both the same brand technology.
Quantum Fiber is definitely way faster service. In my 20 years with Century link my internet has never been down this long. It’s been down since 9/9/25 at 12:15pm. Received delay notification that it’ll be repair by 2:19am & then 8:45am on 9/10/25.
Now today 9/10/25 at 7:23am delayed notification text message — Quantum Fiber now shows that it is still being repair and should be done by 649pm today 9/10/25.
They said it's the main box at their main office that is having problems, but on my end my setup is fine.
I'm connected, but with no internet.
They claimed a lot of people are having the same issue.
The Representative I spoke with - Freddy said customers can't stream.
I told him he needs to send a message to his Supervisor and CEOs that I work from home remotely and I can show them proof. I'm not one of the customers calling in because I can't use the internet/wifi to stream or for my leisure time. This is my job. I have unlimited data, talk & text on my cell phone- I can stream and leisure usage there. That’s not why I’m irritated about. We’re talking about my job.
He said that they will prorate me however long the internet is down and it'll be on my next bill.
The amount prorated is not enough for the hours/wages that I have already lost.

Ive had quantum fiber for 3 years

Ive had quantum fiber for 3 years. The first year was amazing. It was these old pods I setup around the house. I never had a issue. Then they upgraded my system to the wifi 7. And I had to hardwire my living room into the router. Because the wifi doesnt work. Every other device says connected- no internet. And the tech supports attitude is... "everything is good on our side sir" "its probably your devices"

So im big on sarcasm. So I respond. Look if It was 1 brand of electric devices that didnt work. Id agree. But you cant tell me SONY, SAMSUNG, VIZIO, ASUS, APPLE, GOOGLE...ETC... cant build their electronics correctly... no its your dumb internet that doesnt work. And I'm paying full price for it not working. Go to mediacom. Or ANYONE ELSE.

Quantum fiber 🚮🚮🚮

Forced to use quantum fiber by apartment complex, unfortunately. Constant outages, at least weekly. The app does not work...at all. I cant login. It's been this way for a year.
Wifi runs extremely slow. All around terrible experience. Lacking in every single area of what an internet provider should be providing.
