Extremely disappointing learner support — I would never choose Qualifi again
My experience with Qualifi as an awarding body has left me extremely disappointed, and I would never knowingly enrol on another qualification awarded by them.
I was registered for a Qualifi Level 4 Diploma in Skin Rejuvenation through an approved training provider. Throughout the course, I experienced inconsistent information regarding qualification requirements, assessments and previously agreed exemptions.
Requirements and expectations appeared to evolve as the course progressed, leaving me feeling as though the qualification was being made up as we went along rather than following a clearly communicated, structured pathway.
I completed a substantial amount of the qualification before raising a formal complaint with Qualifi providing extensive evidence and requesting clarification and a fair route to completion.
Despite this, the options ultimately offered were to return to the same provider I had formally complained about or transfer elsewhere and pay additional tuition fees myself.
Qualifi subsequently closed my complaint without securing a workable alternative. My registration has now expired, leaving me without the qualification I paid for.
My experience also raised serious concerns about the wider aesthetics training industry, particularly the marketing and potential mis-selling of qualifications. I had also been sold a Level 5 qualification that Qualifi subsequently confirmed I was not registered for. Although I eventually recovered those fees, it added to my concerns about oversight and accountability.
Awarding bodies present themselves as upholding standards and supporting learners. Yet when I genuinely needed assistance, I felt there was little meaningful protection or willingness to resolve my situation.
I was left with the impression that established procedures and financial arrangements took priority over achieving a fair outcome for the learner.
It is deeply concerning that someone can invest substantial time and money in professional education, follow the complaints procedures and ultimately be left without the qualification or a satisfactory resolution.
This experience has seriously damaged my confidence not only in Qualifi but in the oversight of aesthetics education more widely.
I would never choose Qualifi as an awarding body again, and I would strongly encourage prospective learners to research both their training provider and awarding body before paying for any qualification.
Learners deserve transparency, consistency, accountability and genuine support when things go wrong.
