This is a scam

This is a scam. I was aware that there's some subscriptions available, and week of free trial. They only inform about premium features with premium, no mention about qr usability, but there's no way to use direct link without their redirection. That;s when I was almost certain that codes won't work after a week. I wrote e-mail (customer support online chat wasn't working when I started using the website a week ago, and it still doesn't work) asking about codes usability. They basically wrote after 2 days that standard static links to social media will work permanently, and only dynamic qr codes will stop working without subscription. Problem is... There's no way to create static link on their website lol. When I replied that I don't see the way to create static link, they ghosted me. I'm fortunate enough to see through their tricks and wait until end of subscription to see if codes will work before printing them out. Keep away from them. Their creator is cool and it's possible to make very nice QRs, but there are many other free, or much cheaper ways. Even If you'd like to pay there's no guarantee that these codes will work in couple months or a year.

Misleading “Free” QR Code Generator – Turns Into Forced Payment

I used QRCode-AI.com to generate a QR code for my company, as the website clearly promoted itself as a free QR code generator. Nowhere during the process was it clearly stated that the generated QR code would become inactive after 7 days unless I paid.

We used the QR code on printed materials, only to discover it no longer worked a week later, causing financial loss and damage to our brand reputation.

This is a classic bait-and-switch tactic. Offering a service as “free” and then disabling it without prior, transparent notice is misleading and unethical.

I reported this website to:
• OVH (its hosting provider)
• The French government’s cybercrime reporting platform (Pharos)

Unethical billing and no way to cancel subscription!

I signed up for a Pro subscription on QR Code AI, but when I tried to cancel, I was shocked to find there is no option to cancel the subscription or remove my payment method from the dashboard. The system keeps prompting for payment updates instead of providing a clear cancellation option.

I emailed their support but received no reply. This kind of behavior is unethical and feels like a trap to keep users subscribed and charge them forcefully.

I’ve already contacted my bank to block further charges and filed a dispute. Be very cautious before subscribing, there is no transparency and no customer support.
