Puretone is not a legitimate authorized seller of Bose headphones. Bose explicitly states that the only way to ensure you’re buying genuine products is through Bose directly or their authorized dealers, as unauthorized sellers often risk offering counterfeits or stolen goods. Reviews of Puretone (puretone.net) highlight issues like poor quality and bad customer service, with no evidence linking them to Bose authorization

I purchased a Puretone Sound Oasis Travel sound generator in March 2024 for £62.99 and by October 2025 I was having problems charging because the battery would sustain the charge. This issue fluctuated and by December 2025 the battery would not work and due to the design this meant it wouldn't work even when connected to the mains. When I sent it for repair they said that they couldn't replace the battery because of the design and that they weren't willing to replace it. I have sent them two letters since then outlining my rights as a consumer. They replied to the first saying that they were still unwilling to refund me the cost. In the second one I told them that there would be court action if they did not reply within fourteen days. I sent this on 11/03/26 but have not received a reply yet
I was unsatisfied with the fit. It cost me more then $100.00 to return them

The ProtectHear NanoComm ear pieces have a bad design. The microphone boom slides down all the time during the flight. It doesn’t get fixed to the ear pieces, making it totally unreliable.
I do not recommend its use for pilots until they change the design.
I complained about it but I didn’t get any reply from customer support yet.
I had to come back to my old Bose A20.

Bad quality and bad customer service.
In two years I have send them two times to repair, it took 2 months each time, then a month after the two years they fail again, answer was that it was already out of the two year warranty.
They sold me a BROKEN headsets and keep repairing them till the end of the warranty.
Have a set of DX1, but forgot to service them under the 2 year warranty. after 2 years they went faulty, asked for help,, sent them back and found due to not getting them serviced. they weren't covered for water damage.
Paid for repair.
Have since taken apart as faulty again and found that the reason they don't work is that a wire has come off inside.
Lesson learnt please get your Cens serviced to avoid any water damage
After paying several hundred pounds for electronic earbuds I expected a modicum of customer service, instead every one of my numerous emails asking for information concerning my order were ignored for weeks. Only when I sent a final email cancelling my order did someone nothing to contact me. Truly disappointing!
Tinnitus in ear white noise bud. Sadly having to return the second in ear bud as both have simply stopped working without good cause. Bad luck or bad product? Lost my faith and money (£140).
I bought ProtectHear custom moulded earplugs earlier this year. The earplugs themselves seem to work fine for noise reduction. However, the way they attach to the retention cord is flimsy and prone to detachment. This caused me to lose one of the silicone inserts, which are expensive to replace.
The weak attachment point seems like a design flaw. I contacted customer service about it, but they were dismissive and unwilling to acknowledge any issues. This lack of helpfulness from the company is disappointing.
Overall, I would hesitate to recommend ProtectHear. The faulty attachment system that led to lost equipment is a major drawback. And the poor customer service response suggests the company is not receptive to feedback to improve. For custom fitted hearing protection, I would look to other brands that have more secure earplug retention and better support when problems arise.
Very bad customer service...i bought nanocom aviation headset, but cable was signifcant shorter than the previous model I bought, its nowhere mentioned and puretone not offering to fix this issue, instead asking me to buy a new set and customize it??? Really bad service
Purchased some CENS ProFlex Digital absolutely love them, so much better than my previous overear, very happy with my purchase and I will be recommending you.
I wrote a negative review about Puretone, I am still awaiting a refund for the IQ earbuds. My review has vanished, and I am still waiting for my refund. What has happened Trust Pilot?

I bought some iqbuds2 max from Puretone and unfortunately did not match up to the manufacturer's hype. However Puretone acted extremely well and professionally, they responded immediately, offered advice, and gave a no quibbles full refund without absolutely zero fuss. I would not hesitate in purchasing other products from them. 10 out of 10 Puretone, thank you Kristina
