No communications after order confirmed. I had to chase twice to get an update on status of delivery.

Good product great service

I got in touch to order a custom powerlifting belt and the team were really helpful, very knowledgable and had my order with me super quickly.

I purchased a pair of Versa Gripps from Pullum Sports for heavy-duty gym use. After 11 months of normal training, the stitching at a structural seam began to fail and separate.

This is not surface wear on the grip material — it is seam failure along a stress-bearing area.

I contacted Pullum Sports with clear photos. Their response was that they “do not believe this is a manufacturing defect” and therefore will not assist.

Given that these are marketed as durable lifting accessories, I would reasonably expect them to last significantly longer than 11 months before structural stitching fails.

I am disappointed that there was no meaningful investigation or offer of goodwill, only a dismissal.

Customers should be aware that if your product fails close to the 12-month mark, support may not be forthcoming.

For clarity, the offer to repair was made only after I contacted Versa Gripps directly and provided Pullum with their written response.

Versa Gripps advised that the issue could potentially be a defect and confirmed I was still within the warranty period. They offered a courtesy inspection and repair or replacement if deemed a manufacturing fault. However, as their repair facility is in the US, international shipping costs were prohibitive.

I therefore submitted a formal complaint to Pullum and attached the manufacturer’s response. Only after that was I offered the option to send the grips in for inspection and repair within the UK.

Given the initial refusal and the uncertainty around what would ultimately be classified as a defect, I chose instead to have the seam repaired locally by a seamstress. This was more cost-effective than international shipping and avoided further delay.

I would like to say that Versa Gripps responded quickly and were professional and supportive. Unfortunately, my experience with Pullum as the retailer was less reassuring, as meaningful assistance only followed escalation and manufacturer involvement.

We bought two Pullum-branded weightlifting belts. Sizing was precisely as described, and we're very impressed with the quality and value for money.

In comparison with what's available from Amazon, these are of terrific quality. For instance, the rollers on the double buckle are a proper seamless tube, not some bent metal with a gap that might open under pressure.
