If you're thinking of using this company to move boxes across, then don't. I moved from the UK to Spain and (in the end) hired PSS to take care of 4 boxes for me.
I called them on the 17th September to ask about their process, and was told then that my items would be handled by them, with only a 3rd party courier being used to collect my boxes from my old address because I was outside of the M25 and that is their process. I was also told over the phone that at the time THEY send vans out regularly, roughly once a week due to them being busy, and that the actual delivery process would be handled by them once they received my boxes. This ended up not being the case at all.
On the 29th November I went through their online system and was quoted £409.
I paid the £50 deposit the same day, and received a phone call on the 1st December to finalise the details of the agreement. During this phone call, the date of my goods pickup was finalised, and we agreed that the following Tuesday (9th Dec) would be the date. Again, the process of the delivery was discussed and was assured that they would handle the delivery once they received my goods at their warehouse.
I filled out the baggage booking form on their website but also had a removal acceptance form that I did not fill out at the time due to me having missing information. I received another phone call on the 4th December from someone else at PSS asking about currency exchange and seeing if I needed any more help, at which point I mentioned the missing information, and was told that the person handling my case should've emailed me with further information regarding my move. I had received no such communication, and was then told that since this person could not help me, he would then contact the person in charge of my case to then contact me with what I needed, this did not happen.
The 9th comes and the 9th goes and I'm still left in the dark about everything. I called them up on the 10th and got through to someone who sent over everything I needed, which apparently was 3 other rather important forms and the initial invoice. Collection of my goods would not happen until this invoice was paid and I was completely unaware of this, and not a single person thought to contact me after or during the 9th to confirm details or ask about said unpaid invoice.
After this point, a new collection date was arranged for the following Tuesday again (16th Dec) and that went smoothly. Once the boxes had arrived at their warehouse, I was charged £58.50 on the 18th December since 2 of my boxes exceeded 25KG, which was fine, that was stated as much in the quote agreement. Trying to understand why this charge occurred took 3 days, as I asked the person who sent the invoice over why this charge was present and received nothing in response, so then I had to email my other point of contact who 3 days later told me that this charge was to reflect the weight limit.
On the 19th I was sent the final invoice, which had another £50 charge on it for "Currency and freight adjustment", and was told again "The freight and currency adjustments and the handling charges are to reflect the increase in weight of the boxes". I should also note that 'handling fees' is not something that appears in the quote agreement, and that any charges associated with the freight would be for items that are over their weight limit. But as best as I can understand, I was charged twice for the same reason, 3 days apart? It seems a bit egregious to charge £108.50 for 2 boxes being over 25kg, with one being 29kg and the other being 33kg.
I stopped communication with PSS at this point as I was just appalled at the service I got. Emails would take days to reply to, I received 4 invoices total, 2 of those seemingly for the same reason, and at this point had taken nearly a month to even get my goods to their warehouse.
The final nail in the coffin was the email I received on the 23rd Dec from DHL letting me know that they have my goods. This was not stated anywhere or by anyone during this entire process that my goods would be sent off via DHL, since the whole point of me using PSS in the first place was so that I could rest assure that my personal effects would be taken care of. I ended up dealing with the customs agent myself and had to send them over the information that I had already given PSS a month prior!
My boxes eventually arrived on the 8th Jan in a VERY poor state, with some items being broken. I was flat out lied to, being told that my goods would be handled by PSS ONLY, only to have them ship via DHL at the very end, once I had been charged for weight changes and the like.
I quoted DHL and UPS myself with the exact weight and size boxes that PSS handled and was quoted just under £250 for UPS and £305 by DHL. I'm really not sure what I actually ended up paying this company for, I genuinely feel scammed after this joke of a service.

I shipped with PSS from London to Sydney in late August 2025 with a 12 week estimate for delivery
It is now mid January, and I still haven't received my shipment and after many emails to their partner, still have not received a date for delivery - the date gets progressively pushed back with new steps introduced. E.g. delivery was estimated in November, which then got pushed to early December - then I was told delivery means getting AUS and actually there's another 3-5 weeks of quarantine process. Then I was told I have to wait a couple more weeks for actual delivery to me.
I still don't have a date for delivery even though my items have passed quarantine over a week ago now - I have just been told to wait. Ironically I am now going back to London and need some of the items I shipped in the first place
I think this is really poor expectations management, and quite a bit of misleading around delivery times. Very disappoitned at this stage
Also note that their fees don't cover quarantine inspection which their partner company in Australia inform you 3 months down the track - this is a minimum of $400 AUD

PSS Moving team provided regular updates prior to the moving day. The crew even called in the morning to give an ETA. And the guys were truly amazing, very professional, experienced in packing all sort of things and took care of everything while I worked and had my meetings. Not only that, it was a pleasure chatting with them when taking a break.
Great service so far from PSS. Would highly recommend them for your moving needs. Just wish they were also at the other end to unpack and put everything up :)
Shout out to Scott and George, the amazing crew! And to Milica and James at the office for their support and guidance.

I made a booking with PSS international at which point an 8-12 week shipping estimate was confirmed. An agent followed up this booking and amended the shipping estimate to 10-16 weeks but did not directly advise me of the new time scale. My shipment took almost a month from collection to actually be shipped and is currently estimated to arrive 19 weeks after it was collected. Communication about the delays was only provided after I enquired or complained. Would not use again

All my items and furniture from England to USA were delivery in timely manner and in perfect condition.
Thank you PSS Removals.

PSS were very efficient, friendly and responsive, I would recommend them.
However, due to my location, they sub-contracted the packing to another provider, who were also very good, however, it changed my box sizes and instead of having around 12 boxes I had 42 items shipped.

Our experience with this removal company in a move from the UK to Canada has been awful. We paid for the full packing and delivery to destination service with full valuation insurance at 3.5% of the value of the shipment items.
The beginning was ok until the move started. The day before the move they called to ask for a further £1200 because the container company refused to park the container by the removal location. This despite PSS using a local (half hour drive away) subcontractor who take loads in vans to their depot for packing into containers - I know this as they subcontractor also provided a quote for us and this is how they conduct their moves. Miraculously, this was reduced to £400 upon querying the charge, which further left me concerned about its validity.
Then over the Christmas period they emailed again to say there’s a problem with the custom wooden crates for my artwork and they would have to be shipped export wrapped as they could be made in time. I reminded them this is an insurance stipulation given their value, then lo and behold they were miraculously made before shipping. It’s worth noting they removed these high value items from our property uninsured at this point.
Once our shipment was on its way to Halifax from Europe it ended up in Colombia and another £1000 was demanded.
Then after a significant delay our items arrived in Canada. After a further delay I had to ask the items were released from customs - again a service paid for but they expected us to travel to the customs depot to do this manually, which we refused as it was part of their service.
Our items finally arrived and approximately 30% of our items had not been repackaged and packed appropriately as per the service agreement. They moved all these items in the cardboard boxes we’d stored items in whilst trying to declutter our home when it was on the market - these are not suitable for international shipping. In addition 3 of the high values items were not shipped in wooden crates.
As a result we had several damaged items and boxes crushed in the shipment. I’ve asked for a small refund to cover the non fulfilment of contract, but it’s met with a shrug of the shoulders.
We thought as we’re insured we’d be ok, but that’s when the fun begins. One of the items lost was an original artwork and there’s no trace of. We paid for the shipping box to meet insurance standards, but the item has vanished. So far the insurance company has tried to deny the claim as there’s no evidence of it being in their possession! I decided to take them to the small claims court, then they decided to have the missing item valued by an ‘expert’, which shows they accept liability.
The expert valuation then came back at 25% of the insured value, which is laughable. They valued it as less than some of his artworks that are half the size and made from paper, not glass sculptures. I’ve also commissioned my own valuation and it determines my valuation is reasonable.
It’s also worth noting we received no inventory and none of these issues could have been identified before shipping - this in itself contrary to the BAR standards. The removals firm also managed to ship a box labelled as not for shipping and we also have a missing 1960s Eames chair - we didn’t claim for his as I’d forgotten to itemise this on the insurance forms.
The saga continues and I’m left having to take the small claims route for the lost items and will also explore this for the reduced service provided yet paid for.
To cut a long story short a company worth avoiding and going elsewhere. A company should be judged on its behaviour when things go wrong and how they look after you as a customer.
Please avoid at all costs and look elsewhere.
Edit:
I see I have a reply from PSS and a great bit of customer service gas lighting!
To cover some points raised:
1. You are correct - moving has been stressful, but only in having to deal with the international movers and since we arrived having to deal with the loss of our belongings. The move move to Canada itself been a brilliant.
2. Perhaps when communicating with your clients you should be honest about the final minutes changes and increase in costs. The reason you give is not the one I was given at the time and again makes me question integrity.
3. The wooden crates were only made on my instance given your terms and conditions. Had I not insisted my artwork would have been shipped uninsured as per your own terms.
4. I have not been refunded for the wooden crates or the fact you didn't repackage circa 25-30% of my items.
5. Addressing things internally doesn't alter the fact you have taken a sum of money for a service and not delivered what was paid for.
6. The insurance is confirmed to be a contract between PSS and me, this has been confirmed by your underwriter. Therefore you have the option to intervene.

Such an awful experience with this company. I wish I could give anything less than 1 star. Quote was higher than shown online. Paid for express door to door delivery with estimated delivery in 7-14 days to Canada but items arrived in 4 weeks due to delays with customs. I travelled 300miles in total to clear my items despite having a customs office 3miles away (after going back and forth between PSS removals and DHL). Unfortunately PSS removals were totally unhelpful and unkind during this process. Avoid them if moving to Canada.
Edit: Unfortunately I had to write this review since you ignored my emails. Before I paid, you reassured me of continued support throughout the process and never mentioned DHL at any point. Even DHL was unsure of what was happening. I can’t imagine missing a full work day with the extreme weather in Alberta to travel to Calgary and back when Edmonton was the agreed port when I booked the shipment. You have no excuse I’m afraid and your staff is rude.
