Really good service…

I was told by colleagues that there is no 'free' pension account holder. I asked chatgpt and it suggested Prosper. It's true that they do not charge any fee. That's good because even the govt created NEST charge a fee.
Prompt customer service by Desi and Rohan. I hope these are not the only two staff working for the company as all replies have ckme from these two only. Well done anyway.

The app is simple to use

The app is simple to use. The products are good value. Cash ISA rates are competitive. The investment fund choice is reasonably good, but for research purposes use Trustnet or Morningstar, as this part of the app is clunky and barely useable. for actually placing orders though, it' s very straightforward.

Cost Effective & Efficient

The most cost effective investment platform I use, with zero fees on many indexes. The fund list covers most of what any normal investor might need and I like this straightforward, no nonsense approach. The App is very user-friendly. No-brainer for ISA (cash & S&S), SIPP and GIA.

Phenomenal app that really simplifies…

Phenomenal app that really simplifies managing your personal finances.
I find it so easy to use, to find the highest interest rates, and to put money in different types of accounts with 1 click rather than filling in forms. This is the future and you just make your money work better with so little effort.
I actually invested in them as a company as I found it so transformational

My experience after a year

I've been using prosper for almost a year now and had nothing but good experience with it. The app is so easy to use, a really good selection of low cost/zero cost funds.
The cash savings accounts are also really competitive and they often have boosts which get paid into your account directly at the end of the term.
I'm now looking to move more of my investments into Prosper after having such a good experience.

THERE'S ALWAYS A BUT

Prosper offer good interest rates. However there's a BUT...
I'm trying to open a cash ISA, BUT the information on the app is wrong.
It says the bonus is paid annually. That use to be the case, BUT it changed to monthly at the end of March.
It seems Proper don't know their own business.
If they can't get the simple things right, what else can they get wrong?
I'll let you know when they sort themselves out.
BUT don't hold your breath.

UPDATE RE RESPONSE: Oh dear! I tried to open the ISA today, April 9th.
The change to monthly bonus interest payments was made last month.
How long do Prosper need to get it right?
And what happens if I go ahead and open the ISA?
Prosper have informed me by email that if the app states the bonus interest is paid annually, that is what will happen.
BUT the response below suggests otherwise.
The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

UPDATE TO UPDATE: They've got it right at last! Breathe easy. And hopefully there are no more BUTS to come.

To clarify, the information depends on when the Cash ISA was opened. Standard interest is calculated daily and paid monthly. For the boosted rate: accounts opened before 30 March receive the Boost annually (or on closure), while accounts opened on or after 30 March receive it monthly directly into the ISA.

We appreciate that this may not have been clearly communicated in the app, and we’re working to improve this.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL SERVICE

Well over a week and still no sign of an elusive cash ISA.
Registering is a nightmare and NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.

Still waiting for more checks, too late I've gone elsewhere now, and lending my hard earned money to another company.

Apparently their security checks are of a deliberately high standard.
That's a laugh they look insurmountable

Disappointing

I set up an account, but was told I could not open an isa because I don't pay Tax.
Having retired, with a lump sum to invest, this is extremely disappointing. I had no issue with Trading 212

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE -AWAITING MY FUNDS AFTER 7 DAYS

I wish I had come on here and read the reviews before I went and also tried to open a CASH ISA before the deadline last week. I saw their details on Martin Lewis MSE website and trusted that so put my funds in for their CASH ISA but their platform is confusing and I put the funds in the savings and Investment wallet and 7 days later I am trying to get my money back and absolutely no help from their customer service I was speaking to a Nick (who I found out is the CEO) he disapeared off the message chat for 3 days after I told him my query no reponse for 3 days!! I then got Ellie after chasing via email who completely mis informed what to do to transfer my money to the CASH ISA then she stopped messaging then I got Phil who bascially told me I missed the 2025/6 ISA deadline. I emailed and logged a complaint as they did not respond to my query in time and that didnt get any proper response. So now my hard earned precious savings are sitting in a Prosper accounts that I cannot access so cannot be released so I can withdraw them and no one answers messages or emails!! Today I finally got a phone number and only got Louise the receptionist who could not help and surprise! Surprise no financial advisors available to tell me where my money is!! I asked for it to be escalated and to speak to a Manager - not possible so what is going on with this company??? I am going to repost this on MSE
Do not go near them!! Im hoping someone will reach out now I have had to resort to posting a review!!

From our review, your funds were initially deposited into a Stocks & Shares ISA rather than a Cash ISA, and a withdrawal was then initiated to return the funds to your wallet. These withdrawals are processed by our custodian via BACS and take up to three working days – particularly impacted by the bank holiday weekend – so while the timing is understandably frustrating, your funds are not lost and are in the process of being returned to you.

You’re right that our response times were slower than expected. The combination of tax year end and the Easter bank holidays led to an exceptionally high volume of queries, which affected our ability to respond as quickly as we normally would.

To be clear, your funds remain secure and will be available to you shortly. Your case has already been escalated and is being treated as a formal complaint to ensure it’s fully reviewed.

We do take your experience seriously and hope you might allow us the opportunity to restore your confidence and demonstrate the level of service we aim to provide.

RU for real? Feels tin-pot and risky.

Was tempted by their cash ISA rate but thought should validate company first as never heard of them.
The poor quality of Prosper website (missing/dead-end links, made me worry about their viability). The App is pretty poor too. So decided to test their customer service. Even more poor than their website! The website chat bot just repeats itself but if you ask a complicated enough question it's gives you their phone number and places your chat for the next agent. OVER AN HOUR LATER, STILL NO AGENT. I called the number, which was answered, with "reception" no company name! Asked if it was Prosper and said that it was. Asked for customer services to which I got a reply there's nobody available. Tried again 1 hour later and still none available.

Feels like a tin pot outfit. Not sure I want to go thru the pain or the risk even with the FSCS alleged protection.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - AVOID!!!

Couldn't even open a CASH ISA due to their stupid system. You submit ID, and then they keep on asking you to: "We require a resubmission of your document because when our system requests an additional selfie or document, both items must be provided together—one cannot be submitted without the other." There was nothing wrong with the document nor the selfie, they kept messing me about and their reply response time was lousy, in the end I told them I was no longer interested, I went to Etoro instead where they treat you like an adult and have a better rate of interest too!

Be warned

Tried to open an isa account but they need to do more checks, because their software struggled to match a modern passport and my live video - that’s was days ago and now the ISA rate has reduced.

They then send me a very invasive survey basically trying to assess if I had received any inheritance or was likely too, are your parents alive, if so how old are they?!?!? Wow, and all I wanted was an isa…

The welcome e-mail is laughable…

“ I have also grappled with terrible software. I can’t count the number of times I tried to log in to various pensions and investment services and found them out for maintenance. And super hard to log in to. Or to have a terrible mobile app; or worse, no mobile app at all”

They need to have more robust software before articulating their concerns about other platforms…
