Atrocious Customer Service
Front Door Pro contacted me to follow-up on a matter regarding payment for recent installation of a Moen Water Main Shutoff valve, which is now required for homeowners to have before any insurance company will provide coverage in the state a California. The installation was completed on 10/17. At the time, Front Door Pro stated that payment for installation of the valve was processed using the credit card on file which was provided in advance by myself. Apparently, the payment was never processed. Front Door contacted me to further pursue leaving a phone message, to which I promptly responded. I was told that payment of $381.27 was not received/processed by them. I was placed on hold multiple times for several minutes and transferred to three (3) different departments before finally landing with a gentlemen named Mario, who could not have been more terse and condescending. I was simply attempting to resolve a payment processing matter and received the third degree from each of the three (3) individuals with whom I spoke. None of the three (3) seemed to be on the same page. This was my second (2) encounter with Front Door Pro personnel and each encounter was met with a combative tone and no empathy whatsoever. "I am following-up with you to resolve a payment matter which may possibly require making a $400 payment to you and what I am receiving in return is a combative tone and attitude suggesting that your internal ineptitude is my fault...are you kidding me?' Bottom line: This was by far one of the worst customer experiences of my life. I am dumbfounded that each individual with whom I interacted at Front Door Pro actually exuded a similar dismissive attitude and condescending tone during interactions over the phone well deserving of a 1-STAR rating. ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE!!! Do not, under any circumstances, do business with Front Door Pro! This was my first (1st) and ONLY encounter with them, and I can assure you it will be my last!

We were in need of our fridge to be repaired. We called Front Door Pro and were connected with Amos Chaney from A&C Appliance Repair LLC. Amos came out 2 times, was able to temporally fix the fridge and stated he needed to order sensors as well as an evap fan. Amos set up several more appointments which he no called, no showed. We paid Amos $382 dollars for parts/labor that was never performed. Amos is refusing to refund our money. Please do not use Amos Chaney from A&C Appliance Repair. We paid him in good faith for parts and labor that were never performed. Please find another repair man if you need to have your fridge fixed.

Frontdoor "Pro" never fulfilled the agreement to install a water shutoff valve required by my homeowners insurance, in order for a discount. I was guaranteed a 48 hour callback by Frontdoor "Pro" to schedule installation. Never got the call, discount expired due to the installation never happening within the time-frame. Horrible customer service, never returned my calls!

I was seeking appliance repair, came across Frontdoorn that search. Scheduled service with Pro Applance via platform. Technician was a no call no show at appointment time. I reach back out to Frontdoor, explained the situation. They attempted and failed to connect with Pro Applance. I was offered to reschedule, which I accepted but requested a different company. I was connected with 3 representative and was told my appointment was cancelled by me because I refused to wait!!! Frontdoor and Pro Applance failed terribly. Refused to take my complaint and the last representative, Ruben, blamed me for a appointment that had expired Really???

Stopped Responding - Work Unsatisfactory But They Took Our Money
Front Door Pro sent a local contractor to our home to do maintenance on our dryer due to screeching noises when in use. Even though Next Door sent links that wouldn't open to invoices we couldn't see, the actual repair work seemed to go smoothly over the course of two visits on last Tuesday and Wednesday. We paid in full for labor and parts through the local vendor and Front Door Pro confirmed our payments. By Saturday, the dryer sounded bad again, and now it is worse than before. It is now Thursday of the next week. I've called, texted, and emailed Front Door Pro. The only response I've received is to tell me that the technician claims they came out Saturday (they did not). We paid over $500 for our dryer not to be fixed and judging by the radio silence; Front Door does not consider it to be their problem. No alternative vendors were given. No guarantees are honored. We're just out $500+ dollars. I cannot stress enough how much I wish we had avoided using this company.
Frontdoor pro scam!
Came out four times to fix our Dryer.
First visit assessed issues and that they would order needed parts.
Second visit attempted repairs, left and dryer still would spin and dry. After one attempt at drying the thermostats blew out on the dryer. The agent came back out and we were told that it could have be a storm(on a perfectly sunny day) or maybe a power surge and it was just a coincidence that the burnt out exactly the next time we tried to use the dryer after his visit. Order new parts and they were installed.. The dryer still would not spin spin or dry with any clothes in it. Finally said we didn't want that rep back and we would like a refund as we had a dryer that still wasn't working. They said they would send another rep to verify issues. That rep came and we were old it was a board that was out. Needles to say at first front door refused any refund, then they said 105 for over 450 dollars worth of services that still didn't fix the issue. We finally just had to buy a new dryer and are fighting with frontdoor pro trying to get a refund

No call no show , appointment was for 3pm to 5pm no one bother to call to say they are running late. When you check on the status of the driver it says on job . How can someone be on the job if it didn’t bother to come .
GE dryer repair quote disaster
I asked for a quote to fix the GE dryer that did not generate heat.
1. I told customer support 3 times via text message that tech will be turned away by the building if he does not have COI. Of course when tech showed up, he did not have COI and the building turned him away.
2. When another tech showed up. I did not get an estimate for 4 days until I called customer support.
3. When I did receive an estimate, it was grossly inflated. My dryer is GE, they added a surcharge as if it was a Bosche dryer. Also the heating element price was much higher than I could find on the internet. I got on the phone with a tech and customer support. Noone took responsibility or apologized.
4. I had to reach out again to have them fix the estimate. They took 2 days and the heating element price was still higher than from any appliance store.
Needless to say, I did not use their service. DO NOT USE this company. Horrible customer support who make you chase them instead of following up with their customer. Grossly inflated invoice prices. Noone takes responsibility for mistakes.

Egregious upcharges!
We are required by our insurance carrier to install a Moen Flow leak detection device on water main. The installation is handled by Front Door. No problem with making appointment or the plumber showing up....but despite an initial virtual visit with the Front Door plumber and several emails detailing the install checklist including an outlet within 35 feet of the device, it turns out the power cord is only 25 feet long! I can get a 35 foot cord for an extra $300. The whole thing seems like a bait and switch and so dishonest. Even the plumber was shaking his head and said this is a problem with installs he has over and over. Why is the messaging so inaccurate? Is it incompetence? A deliberate padding of charges? They whole thing smells fishy to me.

Terrible customer service from a homeowners perspective. Contractors don’t bother to show up, probably because it is the same from their perspective. Frontdoor Pro’s sales reps couldn’t care about offering service. Whole company is like a marketing scam.

Horrible. I needed an emergency service and they CONFIRMED an appointment (they sent emails and several texts) on a date and time-frame (12-2pm.) I came back to the city to meet this appointment and they call me 1.5 hours late into the appointment to tell me “there were no technicians available.” WHY CONFIRM AN APPOINTMENT THEN? I called and the customer service was a joke.

Worker came to clean my dryer vent of an inbuilt dryer machine Destroyed all the surrounding wood, door cracked by the middle, left screws and wood pieces all over the place and DID NOT clean the vent. I made an appointment for the dryer duct to be cleaned. The appointment time was for 24 Sept 2024 from 2:00 and 4:00 pm. I left work early at 1:00 pm.so I would be home for the appointment. I received an email at 2:14 pm, while I was at my house waiting for my appointment from the front door pro, telling me my appointment was rescheduled to Thursday the 26 Sept 2024. I called the company and spoke with someone who was no help. I canceled the appointment for Thursday because I was very disappointed in the customer service and the lack of service.

They were bought by American Home Shield, also operating as “Frontdoor.” They are ALL the same “shady” company. The only thing they are good for is if you have a sink, tub, shower or toilet clog and is an over priced service call. It better be a simple unclog because if something needs replacing, they claim it’s a preexisting condition which their company doesn’t pay for. They normally choose companies that have a lower or newer reputation. They have a set price on what they will pay for so there is NO to little motivation for the company to fix much of anything. I have a 46 year old AC that is dying a painful death. The 3 years I’ve been in my house I’ve had to put in approximately 6 calls to HSA to have someone come out to try and fix the ac. All they did is put glorified bandages on it. They won’t replace. They are arguing it’s dying because of lack of maintenance which is untrue Also, got the company to say I had code violations, which isn’t true because the bank would have never approved my loan to buy the house less than three years ago. They are CROOKS!!! Eager to take your money for a so-called 7 Star Upgrade but not willing to shell out a dime to fix the issue. When my refrigerator/freezer went out it took three months to replace and I had to fight to get it escalated so they would give me a check which was less than what I would pay for a comparable unit. I finally got the supervisor to return a call after a month of arguing with barely speaking English Customer Service Reps. They promised to give me a loaner so I could put some groceries and medicine in and I ended up having to go and buy a small one myself because they never made good on their promise. THEY ARE USELESS and liars!!!!! I will NOT do business with again. I suggest you don’t either. I definitely would not give them any stars if could. More like “negative” stars. Failed to Show for Service appointment…
I made an appointment for refrigerator repair. The only available time was between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.. I waited and no one arrived. I called the company several times and left a message. I canceled the appointment at 8:30 p.m. very disappointed in the service, or the lack of service.
