Ruth, I can not convey how much your help has meant to me. It is not an understatement to say that the failed breast feeding journey with first baby gave me trauma and spoilt well over the first year of her life for us, and the pressure to get it right this time felt even greater and more important to me. You have kept me calm relaxed and confident and I am currently sitting in the sofa with a milk drunk baby feeling very content and fulfilled ❤️ thankyou from the bottom of my heart

Ruth is an exceptional lactation consultant and if it wasn't for her I wouldn't still be successful breastfeeding. After a difficult breastfeeding journey with my first child I wanted to have a different experience so I met with Ruth pre birth and she helped me collect colostrum and post birth she provided me with at home visits as and when we're convenient for me. After a c-section I especially appreciated the at home visits. My son had a posterior tounge tie which Ruth divided and we had no issues with his recovery. Ruth was on the other end of the phone if I had any issues with feeding and she was kind, patient, progression and caring every step of the way. I couldn't recommend her enough.

I am a first time mom and before I gave birth, I couldn’t imagine to have a natural birth at home. With her it was possible. I had an idea in my head and she made it happen. ALL OF IT. She was always calm, happy, caring. When I felt lonely in a foreign country, she went far beyond for me to feel good. And she gave me and my partner the best possible experience of child birth. I’ve never felt that this was purely business, she treated me as a friend. I’ve always heard horror stories about labour, well… I have the most beautiful memories. Thanks to her. I’ll always be grateful to her, one day I’ll tell my son about her and if we decide to have another baby, I’d want nobody other than her by my side.

I felt cared for every step of the way and no question was left unanswered. It was lovely to have the visits in my home and on days and times that were convenient for me (and my work schedule).
After the birth of my beautiful baby boy, I did not feel I was alone at any point. I was having trouble breast feeding and my midwife, Remi, went above and beyond to get him feeding (from me). Again, being in my home, with someone I had built a relationship with helped me no end. Remi sought advice from others to help - she really did try every trick. We got there and have not looked back - I am beyond thankful to the dedication Remi showed to making this possible.
I cannot praise the wrap-around care of this service enough and would not hesitate in recommending Private Midwives to anyone considering using them.

Using private midwives was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. They are the gold standard of antenatal and postnatal care and my husband and I genuinely feel that our positive pregnancy and birth was due to the thorough care and incredible service that we had. A special shout out to Amie who was amazing at listening to us, giving us advice and ultimately making sure our baby arrived safely into the world, all whilst taking into account our wishes and needs. We will never look back and cannot recommend them enough!

This was my second time using the Private Midwives Service so needless to say the moment I found out I was pregnant at that 4 week mark, the first person I rang was my midwife Ann for fear she would be booked up if I left it any longer!
Thankfully Ann took me on again and as expected from the moment I contacted her and the office, i could not fault the care Ann provided or the service from the office.

During the aftermath of storm Eowyn I could feel changes happening and knew labour was beginning which wasn't ideal when we had no electricity or water and I feared for my homebirth plan!
Ann wasn't long putting me at ease reassuring me that once we had some coverage to make any necessary calls that the homebirth could still go ahead - amazing!
Due to Ann not being contactable she stayed with me on the Saturday night incase labour established over night but she left again in the early morning as nothing really progressed over night and once my other two kiddies woke things definitely settled again.
Ann came back to me later in the afternoon and I was still having irregular contractions but once she got me side walking up and down the stairs it wasn't long until I was in established labour! Ann knew what I needed to do to get things going and within 4 hours of her arriving a beautiful baby boy was born en caul in the pool with no water and it could not have been more perfect!

My wish for every pregnant woman would be to feel as safe, listened to, supported and trusted as I felt with Ann and for them to trust their midwife wholeheartedly like my husband and I could Ann.
Ann can read women very well and knows what the woman needs / wants throughout pregnancy and labour.
I would highly highly recommend this service and midwife Ann!❤

I cannot fault the service I received from Jo and Zena at Private Midwives antenatally and but mainly postnatally for both my pregnancies/births. Superb care and went above and beyond for me. You can’t put a price on ensuring you have the best start after giving birth. If we were to have another child I’d have Private Midwives back in heartbeat.

I can’t fault private midwife’s service, my midwife Eirene was amazing. She informed me of everything from my birth to looking after my baby. I highly recommend them if you are nervous about birth and the whole process. The ladies within the office were also great and on hand to sort anything that was needed. I am grateful to all.

Sally 🥹 What a wonderful human being, I was so worried about my daughter having tongue tie and with the wait on the NHS we decided to use Private Midwives, we rang on Friday and on the Monday we met Sally, who was so so friendly and made us feel totally at ease whilst she did the consultation & then the procedure. She explained everything in great detail and even after the procedure the follow up care is incredible! I'd recommend Sally to everyone, what a diamond she is 💎

Having experienced loss previously, pregnancy and birth came with a lot of anxieties for me. Angie truly knows how to support couples during difficult pregnancies and after each of her visits I felt calm and fully prepared for what’s to come.

Of course birth is unpredictable and it was when things didn’t go as planned that having not only a highly knowledgeable midwife, but someone you have established a relationship with and trust blindly truly paid off.

Knowing that Angie will keep me and my baby safe, she helped me through what suddenly turned into a very difficult and dangerous birth and if it wasn’t for her experience, cool head and quick reactions we wouldn’t be holding our beautiful and healthy baby boy in our arms today.

You can’t always choose what nature throws at you, but you can choose your support system and in Angie as a midwife you’re hiring a superhero.

The service was amazing from start to finish. The call taker was really helpful and booked an appointment for the same day. My daughter had been mis informed by her health visitor and my granddaughter was in great distress when feeding. At the appointment Sharon and Annika were reassuring and took great care when doing the procedure. I felt Sharon went the extra mile by contacting my daughter the following day, to see how my granddaughter was doing. I’d highly recommend Private midwives and would have no hesitation in using them again.

Jo was caring and knowledgeable, I was able to reach her about any questions at anytime. She’s able to care for the medical side of the pregnancy and postpartum and also the emotional aspects too. She’s made the whole pregnancy so much easier and put my mind at ease at anytime

I don’t know how to find the words to thank you for what you have done for me and my family. We hit it off with our first telephone conversation and I knew I’d be in safe hands. You were there in the moments when I felt strong, when I felt determined, when I felt ready but more than that, you were there in the moments when I was struggling or apprehensive. You were my strength, my calm, my reassurance that everything was unfolding just as it should and I trusted your process completely.

I had a vision of how I wanted to bring Mateo into the world. I knew what I needed to feel safe, to feel empowered, to feel completely myself in that moment and you didn’t just respect that, you protected it. You held space for me in a way that no one else could have. You made sure that I could birth my baby exactly as I had dreamed, in my own home, on my own terms, surrounded by love and because of you, that dream became my reality which meant that Mateo was born stress free, calm and content and that was because of how comfortable I was in your care.

I will never forget the way you looked after me before, during and after birth and how you listened, how you truly saw me, how you knew what I needed before I even had to say it. You cared for me not just as a midwife but as a friend, as someone who genuinely wanted me to have the experience I hoped for and now, as I hold my beautiful baby boy in my arms, I know that a piece of you is now part of his story and our story, forever.

I will always be grateful for you. For your kindness, your wisdom, your patience, the laughter and the way you believed in me when I needed it most. Thank you for everything Emma, you will always have a place in mine and my family’s heart. I am so blessed you were part of my journey from the very beginning.

I would also like to thank private midwife’s. Everybody I encountered was warm and welcoming and it’s very much appreciated. My experience as a whole was everything and more. I am very grateful to you all.

It was probably the best service I accessed healthcare wise, very impressed with the team Galadriel and Leoni were just lovely, actively listened and I never once I had the feeling I was being judged or gaslighted for advocating for my needs before during and after giving birth.

Emma is the reason our home birth became one of the most empowering and beautiful experiences of my life. From the moment I met her, I felt this incredible sense of calm. She has this way of listening and being present and available that makes you feel so cared for and understood. Every concern, every little fear I had, she met with patience, knowledge, and kindness. Her sense of humor was a gift during some of those more nerve-wracking moments leading up to the birth, and her vast experience and medical knowledge gave me the education and confidence I needed to feel completely ready for the birth. It was amazing to feel so trusted and validated, such a new and healing experience.

When labor started, Emma was there, steady and calm, like an anchor. Her reassuring presence made me believe in myself when the intensity of it all started to feel overwhelming or even intolerable. She knew exactly when to step in and guide me and when to let me find my own strength. I’ve never felt more capable or supported in my life.

What I’ll never forget is how much she cared—both about the birth and about me, while always being absolutely amazing and reassuring with my husband. She helped us bringing our baby into the world with upmost confidence, heart and strength, while always making sure I was and felt safe and loved through the entire process. Emma, you gave me the most incredible gift—the belief that I could do it even when I thought it impossible —and I will forever hold so much love and gratitude in my heart for you. You will always be our family.

I simply cannot recommend Emma enough. She is a true gift of life.

The care that I received from our midwife Emma was excellent. From our very first telephone conversation Emma was always available for any questions and reassurance. The last 9 weeks of my pregnancy were very difficult and Emma was there to offer support, advice and laughter. Emma always ensured that the whole family were involved with my care; giving my other children the opportunity to ask any questions, listen to the heartbeat etc. Emma is an amazing lady and my family and I are very thankful to her. If I were to have another baby I would most definitely use Private Midwives again.

Absolutely fantastic person centred care delivered with care, compassion and empathy. We’ve had contact with three midwives who have all been brilliant in their own ways and delivered an excellent service. Our main midwife has really taken time to understand our needs and has gone above and beyond to look after us. We had a beautiful respectful home birth and we’re so grateful for the support and guidance before, during and afterwards.

Having a private midwife helped me to feel in control of my birth and meant I had someone to turn to when I had questions and worries.

I am extremely happy with the care that was provided by Remi. She was professional, caring and knowledgeable. I would whole heartedly recommend.
