Primeland Cowhides origins date back to 1889, when the great grandparents of the current owners started up the business which is considered, as of today, the most renowned company in the tanning of hair on hides in Colombia. Back then, tanning was made using pools as the current processes to perform chrome tanning through wooden barrels were not available. This process, which is the norm today, ensures cowhides quality during for years. Since then, the family business has diversified, getting into cattle breeding in different farms throughout the country which allows us to provide our clients with products from different breeds for multiple purposes. As an example, we owned “Los Tres Potrillos” farm located in Armenia, Quindío, one of the main centers of the Colombian Coffee Region and the so-called "Paisa" region, where its mild weather is ideal for Normande cattle breeding, used both for meat as for leather production. Its cowhides in particular are as internationally renowned as the Colombian Coffee itself. Thank you! Gorgeous product
Updated review on 28 April. So after the initial review, the company contacted me within hours and in just over 48 hours the hide was in my house. (They went the extra mile and paid for express courier, all the way from South America to UK.) Really impressed. As for the product - it truly is beautiful! Don't hesitate, the hide and the company are the real deal. Thank you again.
Bought a hide in February 2026. E-mailed in March to ask about delivery date. No response. Cancelling order today, due to no show. Based in UK.

Product received as advertised. Very nice look and quality
We ordered from the company website. We picked the exact hide and size we wanted. We received what we ordered. We are happy with the quality. Great prices. There was a glitch with customs coming from Columbia and the person from the site was very responsive and helped resolve our issue in customs. FYI you may get a bill from FEDEX about paying tariffs and taxes. The site does not charge this.

Amazing cow rug

I've purchased many Brazilian cowhide rugs (in the typical cow shape) from a local vendor for about $400 each. When I saw these extra-large patchwork rugs for $700 each, I thought it was too good to be true, but figured I'd give it a shot. When my rugs (quickly) arrived, I was surprised and thrilled to find that not only are they well made, but they are also gorgeous! 100% recommend!
