Post and ghost

Sent me a role that perfectly aligns with my experience. I responded, received no acknowledgement. The next day the same recruiter sent me another role. There's little point applying so I've asked them to remove my details from their DB.

Hopefully this is the end of the nonsense now. If I continue to receive emails I'll report them to the ICO.

The ghosting culture in is terrible

The ghosting culture is terrible. You reach out to several recruiters through LinkedIn, email, and even their website, yet hear nothing back. It feels less like an isolated recruiter issue and more like a company-wide habit of ignoring candidates. Hard to understand how they continue to operate while treating people this way.

Poor Communication

Got through to a final stage interview with a company, all seemed well then poof, recruiter disappeared, no feedback, no yes or no to getting the job. Ended up having to message the company direct to just get confirmation that I didn't receive the job. Very poor communication from the recruiter and as someone who preciosuyl did recruitment I can say there are many other recruiter to go with, don't waste your time here.

Unprofessional and Disrespectful Recruitment Experience

Despite preparing for weeks, delivering a presentation the company liked, and agreeing on the salary, I have received no response even after sending five emails. Why won’t you answer? Why don’t you pick up the phone?

This is not only unprofessional but also a terrible lack of basic human decency. People have hope and invest their time and energy. Waiting is the hardest part of a job search.

If my application was rejected, I would accept a clear and honest response. But ghosting candidates and leaving them hanging like this is simply unacceptable. If you want a recruitment agency that communicates properly and respects candidates, avoid Premier Group.

Premier in name only!

Been in the contracting game a long time so seen my fair share of agencies.

Have applied for two contract positions with this company and both times I didn't even recieve a courtesy call to run thorugh my details. Unprofessional is the very best I can say about them!

Unsolicited CVs

Despite asking them to remove my details from the system on numerous occasions, I am being sent unsolicited CVs by Thomas Coombs. If you are using this agency, I would be wary of the fact that they are clearly not speaking to at least some of the companies they send your details to.

Avoid

To all those thinking about a role in recruitment, I would advise against working for Premier Group Recruitment. I never worked there, but the experience I endured is one I don’t wish on anyone.

For context, I applied for a graduate recruitment consultant role in October last year. As expected with a recruitment company, their response time was quick. I had an initial phone call, shortly followed by a Teams call, then lastly a face to face interview. This was all in the span of a few weeks. As to be anticipated just finishing University, I was quite excited about the prospects of this role. To say my head was filled with promises would be an understatement. The feedback I received was incredible, they told me I was amazing, I deserved the world, I would fit in so well (so on and so forth). Shortly after this final interview I got a call saying due to ‘budget cuts’ they wouldn’t proceed with the hiring until the second week of January. Let’s bear in mind, I would touch base with them and assess the situation. I was transparent and said I’d received other job offers, potentially in hope this would give them the kick they needed to hire someone who they wanted to ‘keep warm’.

They have now advertised the job I was essentially promised. I have heard nothing from them. No apology saying you didn’t get the job, no apology saying we aren’t proceeding with the hiring. I assume I’m supposed to just read between the lines and guess I’m not the one they’re looking for despite all they’ve said to me.

First of all, is it not ironic that a recruitment company can’t recruit internally? Second of all, why advertise a job and interview people if you don’t have the budget? Third of all, why essentially promise someone a job who passed the interview to just ignore them and re advertise. I had just finished university and was very excited about kickstarting a career, to be let down like this is damaging and puts me off applying for other jobs completely. I do feel as if I’ve dodged a bullet, it’s a massive red flag that basic communication is difficult for a recruitment company.

In all honesty, the company is a shambles. My time and effort has been wasted, with no
apology whatsoever, just empty promises. You are a recruitment company who pride yourself on effective communication. You cannot even do what your company is based on. It’s absolutely ridiculous and would definitely avoid Premier Group Recruitment, not just as a place to work but a company to utilise.

They will ignore any feedback or request to be removed from their database

Appalling company that continues to spam me with direct messages via LinkedIn, my personal email, and my work email after countless times and complaints telling them to remove me from their database and never contact me again.
The job listings they send are disgustingly low rate, and they will ignore any response you provide them telling them this, and any other criteria they provide you.

Just to add, this has been going on since early 2022 at the very least.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I've been contacted by this company on multiple occasions over the last 6 months. They are trying to get us to use them as a preferred recruitment agency.

I've already told them we aren't interested (multiple times). I've asked them to remove our company data from their database and they still continue to email us! Very frustrating.

Based on the fact they can't follow simple instructions, they are now blacklisted with our business.

Would not recommend

Would not recommend, the agent we dealt with lied to the candidate offering a package the company did not agree to.

This resulted in a lot of time wasted for both us as the employer and the candidate.

Worst recruiters I've worked with

I was contacted on linkedin (was not 'open to work' nor had interacted with any job posts) about a potential PM role which actually was quite intrigued by - upon asking for job spec as the message didn't give me any - I didn't get a reply. I was away for a few days so didn't matter so much, so chased up again a week later, still no reply. I phoned the office to speak to the consultant who contacted me to be answered by an extremely rude lady who told me "Why would I know about jobs, I'm just a receptionist" I asked her why the attitude when you've contacted me - she put the phone down on me! Managed to speak to another lady who was very helpful the consultant was OOO so she left him a message. I've since emailed again, still no reply so clearly been ghosted. I never even contacted you, you contacted ME! I would not wish for this company to represent me ever, just wish I'd read these very similar reviews before I even bothered.

Don't use these

Thought it was strange that this recruiter asked for reference details BEFORE sending me off for clients. Nowhere else does this.
- Then my current employer received a call about their "ex employee" and I've confirmed it was this company. Great - now my employer knows I'm looking to leave and they still haven't actually put me forward to any clients yet - thanks Premier Tech. If this results in loss of earnings because my employer replaces me, I'll be taking legal action.

Premier group stopped me getting a job

Premier group stopped me getting a job, due to demanding high fees and because they found me an interview for a company a year ago then claim that they own my candidacy for a year, this has left me in an awful position and this company is to blame, actively harmed my job prospects for greed

No feedback……ignored!

Got a call from Kingsley, we had a great call, had an interesting opportunity for me which I was interested in. I sent over my latest cv and he said he was going to respond with the job specifics immediately. Completely ghosted! I have since sent follow up emails requesting the details….. nothing!
I can accept if on receipt of my latest CV I may have not been suitable for the role, no problem at all, but I expect the courtesy of some feedback. This is totally unprofessional and frankly a complete waste of my time. Got the gift of the gab on the phone but then to be ignored, it’s just unacceptable.
