I am enjoying practicing my French with Praktika. I would definitely recommend, especially for those of us that need to fit in practice whenever we can instead of having to be available according to an instructor's schedule.

One of the best applications for training speaking skills without the need to find a real partner is Praktika – it is always available, anytime, anywhere. It's great for making yourself think in another language and for practicing expressing ideas aloud, forming the necessary connections between vocabulary and thoughts.

3 stars only because this app heats my smartphone too much for comfort. Even after I put in place all the safety measures, my phone gets toasty. I would be happy to come back to this app once technology catches up to reduce the affect AI chats have on my devices.

The AI is not able to wait for an answer, even if you tell her several times. After a VERY short time, it reacts. It does not give you time to think about the answer, about the word you are looking for... this is disturbing.

On the other side it has a lot of "ideas", it is able to follow my suggestions for topics and so on. It is a bit too friendly, unnaturally friendly....

I think, I will use it for some time.

In the last 3 days I tested several language learning and companion AI apps in Spanish language (my goal to develop better speaking skills), and Praktika without a question the best at the market now. Perfect Spanish voice (possible to choose between Castellano and Latin-American spanish), interesting and engaging conversation, very important and unice that it gives perfect and usable transcript, the interface carefully planed and working perfectly. The avatar remembers you, and your preferences, teachable to your learning style. Honestly I would recommend it with good heart.

I feel that if you have already established a good base knowledge and word bank of your target language through Duo lingo etc, Praktika helps you nail your conversational and listening skills to actually use in real life situations, eg hotels, airports, restaurants etc, when you have a conversation in your target language it is imprinted in your brain and this AI does achieve that, I just feel that you need to have a foundation before hand.

I love Praktika it is easy and helps with my Spanish and I can ask questions about anything and I can end the lesson whenever I want.

I absolutely love being able to dive into my interests and have a blast learning how to navigate shopping and ordering in French cafes. Conjugating verbs never puts me to sleep anymore! The experience is interactive, fun, and I genuinely enjoy practicing with my AI teacher Sky.

All good so far, good practice especially in private like the bath or in bed.

I really enjoy my learning with this app. It is nice to have a personalized tutor that you can ask anything. I find the lessons practical and with correction feedback really good for my learning. I would recommend Praktika to anyone wanting to learn a language.

I like the voice of the AI bott...but at times she talks very quickly. It might be an idea to start her off more slowly, then increase as one becomes more accustomed to her voice. The corrections are good....and remind me of things like verb endings and tenses...but I would sometimes like the opportunity to query the meanings of some words...or sentence constructions

Praktika boosted my confidence in speaking Portuguese after several decades since first learning the language. I never had much fluency in speaking and my listening and comprehension were limited. The tutors speak clearly and each have different accents and personalities. I like practicing all the situations I would find myself using while traveling in Portugal or Brazil.the lessons are varied and you can always suggest your own lesson or even a game to play with vocabulary. I don’t freeze up while speaking very often anymore, and the lessons work on multiple levels to reinforce your skills before moving into the next topic. I appreciated the free trial, and by the time it was over I didn’t hesitate to keep Praktika on my phone.

The app Is useful. The AI tutor 's voice is not stabile. I need more feed back from the tutor.

I have been trying to unsubscribe for weeks. I have followed all steps internal to the app and through Apple (from which I purchased it). There are no additional ways to unsubscribe. I am sill being charged.

This kind of company and charging mechanism is a baseless scam.

I have been using Duolingo and other apps to learn Spanish for years and have immersed myself in a language school in Colombia. This app is perfect for refreshing and stretching my conversational skills when I’m home and don’t have as many real life opportunities to interact.

I was bored with the AI versions of Duo—how many times can I talk about the types of books I like to read or where I walk the dog? So this approach is refreshing, and the tutors feel more real than Lily or Falstaff.

When I make mistakes, I like how the tutor gently provides feedback in real time. The tempo and cadence sound like human speech, too, so it’s training my ears not to try to translate everything. But if I get stuck I can refer to the transcript, which is helpful. The tutor waits patiently if I need time to think. The app is easy to use and placed me at the right level.

I also like how we can choose and change tutors and pick whether they speak Latin American or standard Spanish. I tried another app that tried to drill all the different countries’ vocabulary for the same objects and teach us how to have the same conversation in Spain vs Mexico vs other countries, and that got boring yet overwhelming fast.

The only thing I don’t like is the tutors that don’t look creepy look cross eyed. Distracting. And their mouths move funny. All teeth.

I like how the tutor varies the exercises. Today we played a little game. And it asked if there was anything else I wanted to practice and adapted beautifully to my needs in extending the lesson.

I’m a retired language teacher, myself, and so far I’m impressed.

Only good if you already have a moderate mastery of the language. Japanese in my case.

For German language it’s for me not good. And very expensive.
I would like to take my money back to look for another app.

I think it’s a great tool to get me thinking of how to construct sentences. It’s not helping to correct my mistakes but it gives me a good idea of how to express myself. You do need a good level of understanding to chat. I find that having travelled to Italy my experiences helped with the exercises.
