Terrible communication
Terrible communication - several emails sent, never replied. Telephoned but never replied to answer phone message. The boots that were ordered were not in stock and they had to order them in. Didn't tell me that though - just left me to wait.

Good Price, Good Product
Did a quick online search for what i wanted and this company had a good deal. Not all a great experience though: website slow and basic, slow to send the goods (?do they actually hold the stock), delivery not good (no option to leave at a delivery shop and no weekend delivery).
They get 4 stars for product and price but would easily get 5 if sorted out delivery and website.

No customer service. I ordered two Clarkes grinding discs which were both faulty as they were not drilled correctly resulting in a dangerous wobble on the grinder. Initially, this company tried to offload the problem to Clarkes and following me reminding them that my contract was with them not Clarkes, they suggested that I needed to repack the discs for collection by Clarkes so that they could be inspected! Only if this inspection showed a fault (despite me sending a video of the wobble) would this company consider refund or replacement. As I had to use the discs to find that there was a problem, this inspection would have shown that the discs had been used so I am sure that Power Tools Direct would have argued that a replacement/refund was not available! The whole process is unprofessional, unfair and unacceptable in the modern day. I will.not use this company again and suggest other take care uf they are thinking of buying from them.

Shocking service payed £105 for a pair of boots for them to fall to bits in a few weeks, no help at all may aswell buy a cheep pair, definitely won't be wasting my money hear again
Don’t trust they are never on time
Awful service , they say your order will come in 2 days and I’ve never had it yet , my last order has been way over a week and nobody answers the phone , not a good company if you need your order in a hurry , that was certainly my last order from them
Check the postage before you buy.
I would like to warn anyone buying from this company if it’s a small price go somewhere else I bought a tyre depth checker it was three inch in length weighing less than a gram what I should have checked was the postage £5.95 over the to is not the word.
Absolutely shocking customer service
Absolutely shocking customer service. I purchased a Clarke bottle jack on 08/12/2025 which was delivered a few days later, faulty. I reported the issue the next day as per their terms and conditions but was told the jack would have to be returned to Clarke for an inspection! I couldn't wait a month for a jack so purchased another locally. The jack was indeed deemed faulty by Clarke with Power Tools Direct insisting I take redelivery! After many arguements over email I finally got a refund today, the 28th January!

I placed an order over a week ago and I have received nothing.
They do not answer phone calls or emails.
This is the worst company that you can order from. Please do not order from them!
I am going to report them to Trading Standards.
It is very likely that they are in financial difficulties, so do not let yourselves dragged into their problems, because you are going to be left without your hard earned money.

The only good thing is their prices are reasonable. Everything else about my experience is bad. I'm so angry but I forced myself to be fair, and gave them 2 stars rather than the one star that my anger was pulling me towards.
I ordered 7 items that I needed urgently and was duped by the idea that I would receive the items next day, so my expectation was within 2 business days at most.
After 2 business days I hadn't received any dispatch notice at which point I also realised that I hadn't received a confirmation order either, so I sent them an email, and phoned them. The call was diverted to voicemail so I left a message because of the promise that they would get back to me. This never happened despite me leaving a further 2 voicemail messages within a 5 day period. One or two days after I sent the email I did receive a reply telling me to check my 'promotions' folder on gmail as that's where their emails go. I had never ever been in there before (didn't even know it existed), and was surprised to find they'd sent me several emails that were so full of advertisements that gmail quite rightly diverted them all to this folder. I then sent at least one more email and left more voicemail messages asking them to advise me when my goods would be sent out. I never received any response so I started a dispute through Paypal. Almost 2 weeks after placing the order I finally received the items.
This company cares very little about customer service, (actually for consumers it appears to be non existent), and I can't be sure what would've happened had my Paypal claim not been escalated for me. It was all very stressful and I suggest, unless you are lucky, buying from this outfit will cause you more stress than you imagined. They state on their website that they have 5 stars with iO which I believe is B2B review website. The truth can be found on Trustpilot and Google reviews which is closer to 3.5 stars

I was quoted a 3 day delivery, but when the delivery date arrived there was no dispatch confirmation, no tracking, and no communication. This mirrors the experience described in many other reviews.
Cheap prices clearly come at the expense of basic service standards. I’d strongly recommend using a more reputable seller.
Poor service
I paid £9 delivery for a very small parcel (envelope) and it took 6 days to arrive on an Express Service. The item wasn't despatched until 5 days after I placed the order, after me chasing 3 times. Not express in my opinion. Will shop elsewhere next time.
