First time using this company to book a much needed holiday . Nothing was too much trouble and my emails were answered promptly . I would definitely be using them again for my next holiday.

Found the property online, booked online, got regular updates before during and after our trip.
We searched many properties and the one we chose was perfect. Sleeps 4 but myself, my partner and our Labrador were made to feel completely at home as soon as we entered. Absolute prime location for all our needs. Beaches, restaurants, shopping and fuel.

Great property and accurate info on website. But the company did not inform us that we would have to collect/drop off the keys in a completely different town until the final key instructions just before the trip. Not helpful when arriving by train then having to pay £25 for a taxi to the office. For this reason we would not book with this company again. This is not a good service for customers. Why would they not use key safes at the property?

The house was superbly located with uninterrupted views of the beach. It was extremely spacious and well equipped for a family of 8. We were able to enjoy lovely coastal walks rounded off by meals in the pub close-by.
Will definitely be returning and have no hesitation in recommending a stay.

We recently stayed at Dirleton Saundersfoot, a cottage booked through Powells Holiday cottages. We viewed their website and were attracted to this property by the photographs, description and claims of high standards of cleanliness, excellent customer care and of being a locally based company.
Unfortunately our disappointment started immediately on arrival, the kerb appeal was not as depicted in the photos, the property looked shabby and uncared for.
The interior wasn't any better, Powells claim that all their properties are thoroughly cleaned between guests and are covid safe this we found to be blatantly untrue, there were areas, particularly kitchen appliances, that were extremely dirty and couldn't be safely used and the lounge carpets hadn't been cleaned for months.
We also had problems with fixtures and fittings, the lounge wall light was faulty, the tumble dryer filter contained so much fluff and dirt that it could only be regarded as being a highly dangerous fire hazard. The bedroom patio door was difficult to open and close and couldn't be locked, leaving the property insecure and vulnerable and the central heating was ineffective, the radiators were barely warm, but we could not rectify this as there were no instruction manuals. The promised bath towels were cheap, thin and well worn and the hand towel in the shower room was filthy, obviously not been replaced in weeks, we have cleaner floor cloths at home.
The following day we visited powells office to report our concerns and were assured a cleaner would be contacted and dispatched immediately. this did not happen. Over the next three days I sent e-mails with attached photos and visited the office to complain.
Disgracefully we were totally ignored and our concerns and worries disregarded, it wasn't until more than half way through our stay that any action was taken, a cleaner was sent and it was only then that the property became habitable.
As more than half our holiday was ruined I lodged an official complaint, which in regards to the owner, fell on deaf ears. They refused to acknowledge our concerns and observations on the unloved appearance and poor and dangerous quality of the property, only saying it is maintained in the winter months. Considering they charge in excess of £2000 in peak periods for a one week stay, clearly this is not enough
Powells cottage hoidays, for their part, did accept they failed in their responsibility to provide an acceptable level of comfort and cleanliness and offered a 20% refund on monies paid. However considering the length of time they took to respond and the detrimental impact this had on us for the majority of our stay, we could only regard this as an insult.
Therefore potential customers of Powells Cottage Holidays be warned, if Direlton in Saundersfoot is typical example of the discrepancy between what they advertise through photographs and text and what us, the customer is actually presented with then, do as we intend to do steer clear of the company as, in our opinion, they behave with neither honesty or integrity.

Hired a lodge in Tenby and on arrival everything looked fine until I entered the Double bedroom. Instantly I was of the opinion that the bedding was not fresh. There wasn’t a clean feel to it and the bottom sheet had lots of bobbles on it (I have thrown away better!). A few nights into the holiday the fitted sheet came off so I went to put it back on only to find the mattress protector sheet soiled! Τhis only added to my concern as surely if a clean fitted sheet had been put on the cleaner would have seen this and changed it. This is totally unacceptable as the least I expect is clean bedding. Other than that the lodge was cleaned to an acceptable standard. I feel it was bit overpriced for what/where it was. Very quiet park but do appreciate some like it this way.

Stayed at 4 Beach Court, Saundersfoot 2nd to 9th July 2022.
The location of the property is good for Saundersfoot bay and the town centre facilities. Great restaurants and bars around and the beach is wonderful. Stone Crab restaurant is of international standing with very reasonable prices.
Parking spaces are too narrow and short and owners of SUV's and bigger should be warned they will be causing a problem. Recommend a deal is done with the council to try and get resident parking and visitors passes for the road to alleviate matters.
Interior finishes standards are good ond the apartment was clean. That is except for the the sofa bed that needs a valet.
The external glass on the windows was not clean - a shame considering the view. We mentioned this to Powells and they said the window cleaner was regular but that he would come the next day. He duly came, but said that he doesn't normally come to the property.
No proper welcome pack or equipment guides left except for manufacturers' technical manuals.
The hob in the kitchen only has 2 rings. This is not adequate for a 4 berth property.
The Cello TV was not properly connected to the free view aerial, which we had to fix. It is a smart TV but does not appear to have WiFi, HDMI or USB connected and without cables so the apps were useless.
Property advertised to have a DVD player, which it didn't. On the strength of the booking we expected to be able to play CD's which we couldn't. TV is not Bluetooth so we couldn't stream Spotify or Amazon Music either. For the money, tech upgrade is required.
For what we paid I can only give this property 6.5 out of 10. Next year, for the same week it is advertised on Airbnb at over £1200 for the same week. If nothing changes, I wouldn't be paying that personally.
So on the whole good, but must do better.

Sublime. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Excellent quality accommodation, within easy walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and the beach.

This year it will be the third time that I will book my Pembrokeshire holiday through Powells and surely not the last time! That says all I think ! The best team for Pembrokeshire holidays.

Brynawelon is a beautiful apartment. Would recommend. Top views of Saundersfoot. It is at the top of St Brides Hill so anyone with poor mobility might struggle with walking to and from the village. The apartment is clean and comfortable.

Have booked via Powells Cottage Holidays 3 times previously and had excellent service each time. This was a fantastic property in probably the best location in Saundersfoot! We were 2 families plus a mamgu and the house was perfect. Games room in the huge basement was hugely popular with the children. While away we also booked mobile spa treatments at the house , this was booked via Powells and was a great way to relax. Would love to return to Beachway House again.

Great location overlooking the harbour with high spec amenities. The bed was very comfortable. Park in the multi story car park rather than the one recommended by Powell’s Cottages

We were so looking forward to this holiday in Saundersfoot but on arrival at the rented lodge just after 4pm as per Powells policy we found the freezer desperately needed defrosting as the door wouldn’t close due to the build up of ice. The rest of the lodge was also filthy. We also found the tv in the bedroom broken, the toaster broken , light bulbs missing in the lights underneath the kitchen units and the extractor fan. We tried to contact Powell’s throughout our stay on their priority phone line, live chat and email. I was so applaud I took photos which I provided Powells. I actually didn’t get to speak to anybody until we got home.
My partner is registered disabled and has reduced mobility needing the aid of a walking stick; she is also extremely vulnerable to COVID so you can imagine to arrive and have to go shopping to get cleaning materials to clean and feel safe to stay is one thing but the final straw was when my partner sat on the end of the bed to put some shoes on and fell to the floor jarring her back. On pulling back the duvet to my surprise the mattress significantly overhung the base unit. The base unit is not a single bed base.
We packed up and came home.
To say Powells /Original Cottages were totally uninterested is an understatement. They offered compensation of £170 for leaving a day earlier. Throughout our ordeal we were led to believe that the owner was aware of the issues but I contacted him direct and he was really shocked and upset as Powells were suppose to carry out a deep clean each week; he was aware that there was problems with the freezer door and believed that had been rectified. I made further enquiries to find the broken tv and toaster had been highlighted to Powells in July this year but clearly had not been repaired or replaced.
Heritage Park itself is a lovely location and the lodges similar to our rented lodge are well appointed with a high standard of furnishings and cleanliness but at no extra cost of the lodge we stayed in.
Powells rate this lodge as 4 stars which in its current state it clearly is not.
It is the first and last time I will book a holiday with this company.

No wi fi was a major issue despite reporting this no assistance . No information on where to leave rubbish . Property however was excellent, spotless and fab detail and location .
Town was very , very , limited dining options perhaps should be mentioned on website
