Poor customer service
Queue up for a simple purchase of a few euros - the man I go to (NOT the front desk who is always pleasant) says that'll be the next window, I don't have any. No apology, no forward thinking (perhaps he could ask his colleague for 20 euros), just a flat refusal. Not good customer service, training required

Non delivery
Tried posting a small book soft bag cost £10.95 recorded next day delivery that was a Thursday Friday came no delivery Monday still haven't received it no card was left on either occasion, so I called them and they said they tried to deliver it twice Friday and Monday this is a lie as no card was left through the door so I asked the customer service for a refund and they said no. I think the service they provide is pathetic and from now on I shall use an independent company which will be cheaper and more reliable.

I sent 5 letters all at the same time, and it was put in the same bag at the post office - I even had to pay for a 'large' postage due to a small charm in 3 of the letters just ever so slightly making it a challenge to get through the size indicator that they use. While that was annoying, I accepted it as wanted them to arrive safely. Out of my 5 letters, only 2 have arrived. This is not the first time, I have had it happen a number of times in the past where things are not being sent back. A couple years ago I also had a huge amount of stress and sent a clothing order that cost over £300 back to the shop, and they never received it. I couldn't locate the receipt which then took 3 days of battling with the shop to get my refund. I have sent other things over the years which have also not been received. Worse if it is for abroad as 3 out of 4 times I have sent to America, they have not received it. My family have also sent signed letters which have not been received. My parents wrote a complaint which was ignored. I just cannot trust Royal mail any more. Absolute disgrace of an organisation and they should be absolutely ashamed of how they are run. They happily keep taking my money but deliver a terrible service, I feel like I'm throwing money down the drain.

The staff in the Hawkinge Post office near Folkestone are amazing. They are polite,friendly,helpful and efficient. I drop off parcels on a Saturday using the tracked 48 service and they are always delivered in the time frame sometimes they even get delivered Sunday, which is amazing service . Unfortunately today I’ve sat in waiting for a tracked delivery. It said it was on its way only to receive an email saying my building wasn’t accessible. This is rubbish as I live on a main road with rear access. My normal postman delivers here no problem every day in fact we had a delivery today he is very good at his job and I like him but I’m very dissatisfied with today’s performance. Let’s hope they do better tomorrow.

I went to the TGJones (Smiths that was) sub postoffice in Eastleigh to hand in a prepaid parcel to be posted & I noticed that most of the staff seemed to be well passed retirement age & were more interested in talking about lunch breaks than serving customers. No wonder the company is losing money, what a way to run a buisness

I should have listened to advise not to post through royal mail as they have such a bad reputation now as couriers
Will look elsewhere for alternative couriers in the future and would advise others to also seek alternative methods of posting

Mid afternoon Friday only one member of staff at the central Darlington, Cornmill post office. Naturally the customer in front of me had a lot of things to do so the wait seemed very long. I pulled up a chair for a while and at least two people gave up and left. Eventually another staff member came and things improved. I enquired about the situation and was told that they had staffing issues with regard to which this gentleman had asked for help. The main (and I think only) post office in the centre of Darlington with only one staff member is a disgrace.

I sent two parcels from the UK (paid just under 68 pound sterling) R1400 and the post office didn't even attempt delivery of them. The website stated that they were ready for collection as of the 11 May although they didn't say where. I wrote the first email on the 18th to customer services and didn't hear back from them so I then escalated it on the 20th of May demanding a answer and was only then told where they were. I live in the UK. I paid for these to be delivered to a person's home address and due to sheer laziness, the post office has instead left them with no commication at a post office and they have to fetch them. I should be refunded for this. Had I of known this was going to happen, I definitely would not of used this service. They could of stolen the parcels had I not sent them tracked. This service is disgusting, and you are lazy for not attempting delivery..... Shame on you. As for Tabisa Mvandaba in the Germistan branch, your attitude is disgusting as you should have responded to the email that I sent with regards to the refund in postage....

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!! Rude staff, practically threw my receipt at me. Overcharged on a simple letter to Europe which still hasn't reached its destination after 10 days - THIS IS THE MOST EGREGIOUS.
