Portsmouth City council Emplyers

2 burly men knocked on my door demanding me to remove a door which was horizontally laid against my wall. I was told to move it immediately or they would take action against me. I told them that I was going to getting it removed and the reason it was out as I have a tiny garden and 2 weeks ago had a bad fall. I am 70 years old and live on my own. I did point out how many wheelie bins were up against the walls in the street. They were not interested only to harass me. No help in trying to suggest how I could get it moved.

I must say I was very impressed indeed…

I must say I was very impressed indeed regarding the Repair Service. I received. I called out of hours and the chap I spoke to was polite and professional, he informe me it would be quite some time b4 they could attend the job as they were very busy. However after just about half an hour the workman arrived. His name was Mark and he too was very polite, friendly and professional, in fact he surpassed my expectations and sorted my door issue out, and tried his very best to repair another door I informed him was problematic. What an Absolute Gent and a Real Credit to the Council he is. Thanks Mark your a Top Bloke👌

Terrible

Complete incompetence rang planning department after 1HOUR yes 1HOUR waiting for someone to answer when I did get a response was told I’m not a qualified planning officer ( wonderful) . What a terrible council we have in Portsmouth the whole city in run down rubbish everywhere weeds overgrown bushes pot holes . Baffins area is in a right state anti social behaviour out of control. The council needs investigating lot of people making money not dealing with issues of the city . Independent company needs to go in look at what’s going on lot of bent people work there for sure

Do not visit is you are a tourist.

Do not visit is you are a tourist.

You will leave a victim of crime in one way or other!
It’s lawless now. You will get no help from the police or council
You will have to pay to go and park anywhere, public transportation is a nightmare and roads are so so dangerous I would avoid any cycling if you don’t want to be injured.

Worst customer experience....

Very poor customer service using inadequat equipment. No customer service skills no empathy for their own errors. Dropped call without sorting the issue and didn't call back. No response to emails sent... Not even a do not reply email receipt. Web site is ridiculous and not fit for purpose. Come on PCC get your act together and provide customer service that actually helps by people who actually care and want to do a good job. I come from out of the area and was shocked at the state of PCCx BAD customer experience.

Housing supports

Having mental illnesses and physical disabilities, having been issued a no fault eviction notice by my landlord and going through bereavement at the same time, I was treated fairly, in a human way by a very professional Housing Needs team. All their staff are well trained, supportive and supervised. They go by the book and are knowledgeable. They let you know what the score is. Not only Portsmouth City Council should be proud to employ them and reward them for their hard work but they also represent the true British values that are respected around the world. It’s a 10 from me.

Will not be returning to Portsmouth

I'm not from Portsmouth, but travelled in recently for some shopping at the big shopping centre and had a family lunch in a local restaurant.
It was a good day and we really liked Portsmouth.

I will not be returning though!

Today, I received a £70 clean air penalty charge notice. I knew nothing about this beforehand not being from Portsmouth.
If those idiotic, useless people at the Council think that this is the way to attract visitors, then so be it.

I personally will be spending my hard earned money elsewhere in the future!
What a shame for just another excuse to 'tax' the easy target of a family travelling into the city .

"Useless P.C.C"

"Why make a job easy when you can make it difficult" should be the motto of Portsmouth City Council!!! With the energy bills going up the govt has given everyone in bands A to D £150 off their council tax - now i don't pretend to be brainy but you could take the whole £150 off the total bill or reduce everyone's payments by £15 over ten months. No not P.C.C - apparently they haven't decided how to pay it out yet!!!!! Obviously they want to keep it as long as they can, with the interest rates going up it could net a tidy sum!! If it doesn't involve fleecing car owners or the university they just dont care

Portsmouth Council Refuse Collection

I contacted the council on Friday to inform them that our refused collection did not happen, AGAIN.
The communial bins are now overflowing and seagulls and foxs are spreading the rubbish over the car park.
Today is Monday evening and still no collection.

Half of your reception staff are rude…

Half of your reception staff are rude and seem to have their own agenda and not what the customer is requesting.
At least half the staff I've spoken to in the last 2 days are absolutely rude, uninterested and do not seem to be very knowledgeable in their roles.

I am exhausted trying to get past reception.
Unfortunately there has been more negative experiences in the past 2 days than positive. I had 3 people who where great and tried to help. The others where just not interested in helping.
I still haven't received the help I was requesting.
But I will keep trying. A formal complaint is on the way.

Great Salterns Golf/Farm Course

Robert Reeds
I write this review because I Honestly don't think the Council Gives A Damn about trying to restore some kind of Normality and bring the Golf Course back up to a similar standard that all the Golfers enjoyed back in the Year 1999 This golf course used to be absolutely excellent back in those days and the Greens were absolutely Superb for a Municipal Golf Course but now all the golf course is to the Council is a big CASH COW where they can fleece the Public and the Golf Club members of money for season tickets and green fees and they don't seem to Care about reinvesting any of the revenue they Gain back into the Course whereby year in year out the state of the Golf Course declines to such a very bad state that it comes down to them saying they don't have a budget that will allow that to happen.

Which means that most or all of the revenue they collect from the Golf Course Ticket Sales seems to be invested in other failing ventures that they should be offloading as a series of Millstones tied around their necks instead of using valuable funds from the course to improve it to it's former Glory and then surely the Punters would come back.

PCC Make the Golf Course Something to be Proud of again and not be ashamed of because at the present Moment most Golfers if asked would probably admit to being ashamed of Playing on it.

If You Build It They Will Come.

I speak from my own Personal experience that I feel the Council are treating all Golfers with total Disrespect and They are Emotionally Blackmailing Golfers to Buy and Pay for Season Tickets over a period of six months because now all these current years Golfers are having to renew their season tickets and then when the real bad weather sets in October/November/December they then get stopped from Playing because the Golf Course was unplayable nothing has changed and here we are 20 years down the road and the Council still don't seem to learn by any mistakes but the Golfers still Have to Pay The Moral Of The Story Is You Only Get Out Of From What Your Prepared To Put In and in this case Great Salterns Golf Course The Council Only Take Out And Not Put Anything Back In.

Over the last two years I being a senior citizen of 77 now have to use a RIDE ON GOLF BUGGY due to medical Knee Problems and without my buggy I would not be able to walk and play the Golf Course but when they decide to close the course due to conditions I and all My other fellow Golfers who also use a Golf Buggy are not allowed to play because they ban and stop buggies going on the course why can they not introduce cart paths so that all Ride On Buggy Users can play without being Penalized and because as a result of this I have lost over 5 months Golf on my previous season ticket and also the current season ticket I have lost several months of playing due to Covid and Course Closure so the problems are when the course has been closed because of all these problems why did the Green Staff not get out and do the necessary maintenance over the last 12 months during the Relevant Lock downs when nobody was allowed to play and surely that exercise would have prevented the Golf Course getting into such a disgusting state because now it means all Golfers are going to have to Pay to Play on a Farm Yard Pitch.

CASH COW HAS SPOKEN AGAIN!!!

No Doubt This Review Will Fall On Deaf Ears Because The Portsmouth City Council Will Brush It Under The Carpet And Not Bother.
