Avoid Posche Hatfield

Took a Porsche cayenne into them on the 30th July, for a diagnostic check to establish what was needed to rectifty the faults in the vehicle. Almost 4 months later, I'm still chasing them, they do not update, do not call you back, we have dealt with 4 diffwerent people, & now the current person Alex Archer, has suddenly left the company. I would avoid this dealership at all costs, travel further & use a diferent dealer. Or preferably don't get a Porsche!

AVOID using Porsche Hatfield loan cars…

AVOID using Porsche Hatfield loan cars as you could end up with an excess charge of up to £1,000.00 for ANY damage as happened to me when I was charged this amount for damage I no not believe I caused.
They do not offer insurance to cover the excess charge which, I am told, is for business reasons. They did not show me the documented previous damage or ask me to inspect the car for any other damage. In addition they did not have any photographs of the car to prove that the damage was caused by me.
Porsche state that the slightest damage to any alloy wheel results in a replacement new wheel which, I was told, was over £1,000.00 for the Taycan that I had been loaned. A new front wheel for my Panamera Turbo is £1,305.18.
They would not provide me with an invoice or quote for the damage as they state that they wait for a number of items of damage before sending the car for all of the items to be repaired. Presumably this would be after having taken up to £1.000.00 excess on each of the loan damage occasions. I do not know the terms of their insurance but I believe that it is quite possible that they would only pay one excess charge to the insurance company.
I took a loan car because Porsche Hatfield did not provide a courtesy service from Hatfield Station and there is no suitable public transport for the journey. I asked for a small car as I only needed it for the commute back in to Central London. They could not provide this.
It is important that if you really need a loan car it is essential that you take out separate Excess Insurance cover as it is unlikely that any damage to the car would result in an excess payment of less than £1,000.00.
In addition to the above the actual service received from Porsche Hatfield was at best satisfactory. The service on the car appeared to be OK although the Maintenance Book had not been stamped despite being in the glove compartment and a flap above the driver’s door damaged. The Maintenance Book was stamped on a later visit although initially only with one stamp instead of two. Also the flap was repaired free of charge although it did need three visits instead of one at considerable inconvenience to me.
I complained to Porsche UK about my treatment but they were unhelpful.
Overall I would not recommend Porsche Hatfield. Also further to the above I have made a Section 75 claim with my credit card provider.

Much better then previous visit

After a poor first visit to this centre I returned as the work that needed doing to my vehicle was a warranty issue. I dealt with a lady called Jess and from the beginning my experience was 100% better then previous visit, she called me 2 days before to confirm my booking and my loan vehicle was ready for me when I arrived. I was kept up to date with the repairs and collected my vehicle a day later. Very happy with the service I received big thanks to Jess.

I will Not be using Porsche centre…

I will Not be using Porsche centre Hatfield in the future. We have owned many Porsches and it is not the company that is the problem it seems to just be this dealership as we didn’t have this issue in Cambridge. You can never get anyone to call you back, even after a complaint about it. Quite frankly when I spend over £100,000 on a car expect good if not great customer service and I am getting anything but.

Avoid this place at all cost

Rude , arrogant and quite frankly the worse dealership I’ve ever visited. It took them 7 working days to conclude that my start/stop function was not working due to my battery. The excuses were laughable but i didn’t want to argue with them. When I did try and question them they spoke to me like I’d come from a different planet and never owned a car before. I’ve had 25 new cars. And driven 1.5 million miles so I have some idea. I told them it was my battery on the first visit. Avoid this place at all costs. Hopeless, is being kind.

Inept leadership at Hatfield

In my experience with the Hatfield dealership, I have encountered significant deficiencies in both competence and professionalism, which have led to ongoing unresolved issues with my vehicle. A primary concern has been my attempts to obtain a valuation necessary for an upgrade—an aspect that one would reasonably expect to be prioritized by a dealership. Unfortunately, all my efforts in this regard have proven futile.

After submitting a negative review detailing these frustrations, I was contacted by Peter Jeggins, the head of the Hatfield franchise. Our interactions made it abundantly clear why the service quality is so disappointing; the culture within the dealership mirrors his ineptitude. Mr. Jeggins appeared to have not even taken the time to thoroughly read my correspondence or review my case file.

This lack of attention to detail and disregard for customer concerns is indicative of a greater issue within the organisation. Given my experiences, I would strongly advise potential customers to avoid the Hatfield branch altogether.

What a shower this outfit is !!!!
Booked an appointment at 2pm to discuss purchasing a new Porsche and after 20 mins waiting I asked where the lady was that was dealing with me - receptionist off to find the Sales Manager who tried to contact her to no avail who then proceeded in a passive aggressive way to ask me what do I want ? Err Sherlock I was looking to buy a new car - I would stay well clear of this Porsche dealership who have been recently taken over by the Bowker Group - I told then to advise Paul Bowker of the situation who must be so proud to have taken on this shower of misfits 😡 Later spoke to the Dealer Principal who was as much use as a Chocolate Teacup - suggest you try Porsche Wilmslow or Stockport because the service levels at Bolton are so low that I would avoid at all costs - embarrassing to the Porsche brand

Porsche Hatfield - what a disappointment

Walked in to Porsche Hatfield today, only to be completely ignored by staff for the full fifteen minutes we wandered around looking at the cars. Not even a “Hello”. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Needless to say, I won’t be spending my money at Porsche - I was so disappointed.
We then went to Audi Hatfield and were greeted warmly and offered a drink- what a difference! Perhaps staff at Porsche Hatfield could look to Audi Hatfield to see how to gain and treat customers.Porsche Hatfield staff also need to remember that you can never afford to lose custom- like they did today.

My experience of dealing with Porsche…

My experience of dealing with Porsche GB on my 911 GTS which I got new in 2023.

This has been going on for 4 months after buying the car. I bought a convertible which I have not been able to use over the summer as the car has been with Porsche more than me.
After 6 times of sending the car back, I am now told the car will go to a ‘ gold technician / senior’ which lead me to assume their other technicians are not a qualified in the correct way.
We have now rent to the CEO of the UK and Europe and had resonances from customer services saying how sorry they are, but with no further plan.
The car is now been with them an additional 10 days having had to send the car in 6 times and still not heard back from Porsche. Despite me chasing for an answer.

I have now ask for a refund
Still no response , if you’re thinking of buying one of these cars I can say they drive outstanding this was a present for my son 30th birthday, they will problem with this company as they have lost what a client means, from the handover, to the issues we are having , I’ve also noticed that trustpilot mainly get one star,
I see this with so many companies they think people will come to no matter what because of their name but they’re so wrong. I will keep you posted on what we get from. I also have a GTS and a 911 turbo which I will now think about getting rid of as well.
Culture and ethics, in the company is everything, but with no reply from the UK CEO and worldwide CEO, I’m left to say nothing

Paul kelly and Scott Clark don’t even bother to return your email complaint. I’ll be escalating to Porsche Customer Services to vent my frustration with both these rogue traders.

Avoid.

3 Month Wait for a Service Appointment.

I just tried to book my 18 month old car in for a warranty fault and the earliest appointment that Porsche Hatfield could offer me was three months away! They had "fixed" the problem previously and at that time the wait was "only" two months. They are so short staffed that you have to book before you have a breakdown, not after, so polish up your crystal ball if you want to deal with Porsche Hatfield.

Disgusting customer treatment

Disgusting customer treatment! Porsche Perth.
I'm in the midst of a parts department customer complaint and even the branch manager won't engage.
They have sold me parts without informing me beforehand of THEIR conditions of sale and have simply taken an arrogant and indifferent stance towards me. They took my order, then my money and never once said ANYTHING about no returns, they give me a receipt on which they later refer to by telling me AFTER the fact of their terms....illegal, pure and simple.
A buyer MUST be made aware BEFORE purchase of any terms and conditions!
The best laugh is these parts were not made specifically, they are off the shelf but they didn't keep them in stock, so why is that my issue?
Honestly it's disgraceful, especially given the lack of customer service that I received even before buying these items.

I will now have to go through the ombudsman and trades standards agencies to just get back money I am owed.
It's a shame, Porsche make great cars but let themselves down by hiring incompetent and unprofessional staff that ultimately brings down the brands reputation.

Damaged my car and completely denied it!

My Taycan was in for some warranty work with this dealership and upon collection I noticed major body damage to my car. When the car was booked in there was no damage on my car in this area and nether was pointed out to me by the dealership on check in as is usual practice at every car garage. They later sent me images of damage to my car which were obviously taken after I had left my car with them. I had to raise my concern with Porsche GB head office which also annoyingly told me they can't help and it's up to the dealership to take a decision on next steps. Numerous calls for them to provide me with CCTV footage has falled on deaf ears. Files that were sent to me were apparently "corrupted" and they are trying to get "IT to recover the files" - The entire episode is purely an attempt to hide the damage caused to my car. I will be proceeding with legal action to recover my repair costs. I did not even get an email from the dealer principal Peter Jiggins who has completely ignored all my emails. Be warned - Avoid taking your car here if you dont want expensive repair bills.

Closest word I can think of to describe…

Closest word I can think of to describe this branch is fraudulent.
I came to the Porsche garage in Preston last year, after seeing the 718 I wanted online. I travelled to Preston to view the car, but it hadn’t arrived and the salesman I spoke with didn’t even know the car was going to be available. Easiest sale of his life. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to negotiate any discount off the car given the market, so I asked for 3 years Servicing. Hoping for at least 1 years service. The salesman said “I can give you 2 years servicing and I’ll throw in an extra key ring.”
I put the deposit down on the car, and was just going through the Porsche finance process. I had a better residual value from my own finance broker, but I gave Porsche Preston the chance to look at other options. They couldn’t beat it, but the salesperson brought in the finance partner/manager to discuss with me. He said he couldn’t beat it but would give me 2 years service. I told him I’d already negotiated that with the sales person. He then agreed to include my road tax.

Fast forward 12 months, I received an email saying my service was due. I booked a date in the diary in the near future with the service team. To my surprise the email confirmation about my booking had an extremely large cost for the service. I was expecting it to be £0. I called up and explained I had 2 free services. I was asked who the salesperson was that sold me the car, then I was put on hold. I was then told I would get a call back from the manager as the salesperson no longer worked there.

I received a call shortly after by the manager. I explained that I had 2 services included and told him who the sales person was. He then explained the sales person was no longer with the business. I said that’s fine, because it was also confirmed by the finance business partner. Guess what! He also is no longer with the business. They have both moved to the Middle East with immediate effect.
I then had an extremely rude and patronizing tone from the manager. It came across as if I made the whole thing up. I explained that I bought the car above market value, and the deciding factor was the services included.
I have been away for the last couple months with work. I asked the manager to look further into this, and I have heard nothing back. I also have spoken to the receptionist and the service team and still have heard nothing.
Very big coincidence the 2 individuals from Porsche Preston who agreed the 2 services, are now no longer with the business….
