It's a scam
It's a scam, don't believe them or give any money. Modelling agencies should be paying you firstly and images can be trusted by a professional photographer by picking from portfolio images. Always check reviews and do your research as hey pressured me and give me the talk but no one is ever that nice for no reason.
Don’t use this company
I am still waiting for my daughter e pictures that I already paid. I been calling customer service for the last 3weeks to chase up. They are not helpful. The process cost up to £2500 which they don’t mention before starting . Please don’t waste your time and money with this company
I went for a photoshoot a while ago
I went for a photoshoot a while ago. It was all fun the hairstyles was nice and so was the makeup. After everything they said I was successful which I was happy about when I found out how much I would have to pay for the portfolio I was in shock £3,000 which is ridiculous I was only able to pay a certain amount a month and now I have been unable to afford it altogether. I keep getting emails day after day asking to pay £578.95 which I can not afford because of my financial situation it’s a scam completely and if this carry’s on I will get the police involved (as I feel like this is a complete scam)
Absolute scammers!!
Absolute scammers!!! Stay away and don’t fall for the sales pitch, complete rubbish.
I as surprised to see negative reviews…
I was surprised to see negative reviews on here as I had no problems and an overall pleasant experience. I spoke to John Thomas who was so thorough in explaining the process and answering all my queries with efficiency and kindness. The shoot itself was very enjoyable at the Manchester studio. I was put right at ease and chose the 299 package as I didn't feel any pressure whatsoever on the day.
Scam
Absolute scam.
Business model works by selling you a collection of pictures. That you would then market yourself. These range from 300-5k depending on how much money they think they can suck from you. Bare in mind these pictures are usually taken by a random guy with a cannon.
Been around for ages, just change the name when in trouble, Polo Models/ hype digital/ Uk models etc.
They have had a BBC panorama episode based on them as they distorted thousands from a disabled client in early 2000
IF YOU GO THROUGH WITH THIS/ NOTHING WILL COME FROM IT. Everyone they contact is “successful”.
All previous positive reviews are internal as they operate over 4 locations in UK.
Applied for my son, but realised pretty soon what this was. The communication is just off from get go, when you ask them direct questions you get politician answers, and the dynamic of the conversation feels very very very salesy.
If you want to model simply apply to an actual agency who don’t ask for money.
I’d advise that if you have applied let the ‘Agent’ speak for aslong as possible and when they demand the deposit you put them on hold for a couple hours whilst you get your card. Give them some of their own medicine.
NOT A PROFESSIONAL MODELLING COMPANY! Rude staff, awful experience and potentially a scam!
Did you receive a phone call from polo models telling you they love your look and you've got what it takes to be a model? Not sure if its real or a money making scam? Well... the companies authenticity is certainly questionable. I don't necessarily think its a scam but, I whole heartedly do not believe this company is the answer to the start your modelling career.
If you are having doubts if you should attend your shoot then read my fair and true review of my experience and make your own decision…
I attended the London Studio 30/09/22 for a photo shoot and had the most awful experience. I arrived for my appointment time at 9.30am and they had just started setting up the studio which just would not happen in the professional modelling world.
Hospitality was non-existent! The staff are very non-personable and don't interact with you at all. They don't offer you a drink and they speak to you in a very direct and instructional way. "Sit here", "Go upstairs for make-up", "Hang clothes here." Hardly conducive to making people feel at ease and comfortable to have your pictures taken. They do not explain the process of the day or introduce themselves or let you know what their role is. the whole environment was just very uncomfortable
My main issue transpired at the end during my consolation with a vile staff member (Dark, curly hair and wore glasses). Who had such an attitude. It was very apparent from the start that his only interest was getting money off me. He was very rude and aggressive from the beginning trying to convince me I need to buy the photos. I told him I was confused with what it is the company actually does and if they were a modelling agency or a photography studio. He spoke to me in such a patronising tone and told me if I read the email then I would know! That just isn't a way to talk to any human being who is asking a genuine question! He was treating me like an in-convenience because I wanted to know more information on the company and he responded to me with constant eye rolls, huffing & puffing and patronising comments! Telling me that most people jump up and down with excitement when they get offered this opportunity and I should feel the same way!
In addition to his outrageously, un-professional behaviour, he would not even show me my photos. He told me I could only see them if I purchased a package. I do not understand how he expected me to hand over £300 without seeing what I'm actually investing in! He said that they had been doing this for years and know the images are good. I already had doubts about the company's authenticity with the way the photo shoot was conducted and after meeting this individual I had no doubt that this company was not part of the professional modelling world and definitely not trustworthy. I asked for a refund on my deposit which apparently will take up to 2 weeks so I will cross that bridge when it comes.
He then accused me of wasting everyone's time and only coming along to get a free makeover! If this was the case I would have gone to my local boots, I would not have got out of bed at 6.00am to haul myself an hour and half across London to get my face done first thing in the morning!
I made it very clear to him my feelings on his professionalism and he was just so smug telling me "good job we have CCTV."
I rung up the company afterwards and spoke to a representative about the situation. He said "I don't know what to tell you!" He then told me that he had to go into a meeting but will call me next week! No doubt I wont hear from him again. I wrote an email expressing my concerns and was going to wait for a reply before writing this review as i felt it was only fair to let them respond but the enquiry email address they provide does not actually work! So I am here hoping to help anyone else who is thinking about attending but has doubts.
What you need to know is this is NOT an agency. It's essentially a third party company that also uses a separate photography company. It's very clear they just want your money for the photos which obviously goes towards commissions for the photographers and make up artists etc. They try and butter you up and make you feel special by saying they only pick people who they believe have modelling potential. But, trust me, they are not saying no to anyone!
Please don't fall for this. This goes way beyond just an "Unhappy customer experience." Even if you look on their website the majority of "success stories" say that people got calls for modelling jobs and IF they get the job they will get paid thousands of pounds but, it's misleading into making you think they've got lots of jobs for people.
Ultimately, this is a very unprofessional company who are just looking for naive people who have dreams of becoming models to hand over their cash. Do not be fooled.
Refusing to return my £50 refundable…
Refusing to return my £50 refundable deposit. Steer very clear of this Company
I took my daughter to the Manchester…
I took my daughter to the Manchester studio, no complaints. Unfortunately my daughter was a little too shy and wouldn’t leave my side, we have been invited back in 12 months to try again.

Awful place!!!!
When i first arrived with my son, it was very busy, not enough seats for everybody waiting.
There were staff members sat around, nobody appeared to be dealing with any clients. There was about a 10 minute wait before anybody was seen. The staff seemed very uninterested in everybody there.
My son was seen approximately 40 minutes after our appointment time where he had his photos taken which he did enjoy and the photographer seemed nice enough. After that we waited around for about an hour to be told to go pop out for a bit and they would be ready to review my sons images and sit down with me in about 30 minutes, we returned in 30 minutes and waited another hour to an hour and a half to be seen. In this time some friends of the staff came in with bottles of wine, they all sat there getting ready for a night out (which they were discussing), the receptionist and make up artist were sat there discussing which aesthetic procedures they wanted. We were not offered any drinks whilst we were there.
Then when we went in for our meeting with the manager who was honestly the rudest person i think i have ever met. He plays on the children's emotions very much, at first he was asking my son how it went, if he enjoyed it an so on which is fine but when he offered my son a contract i said i wasn't happy to sign any contracts with him or another agency as i wanted to do research first his attitude completely changed towards me and tried to use my som against me telling me how he had enjoyed the experience & why would i want to stop my son doing something he wanted to do and when i said i need to speak with his dad he said to my son ‘if we could magically teleport your dad here do you think he would stop you doing something you want to do for only £20 a month, i don’t think he would if he was a good dad’
He then went on to tell me i was there for a fun day out and i had wasted there time and i had made them out of pocket. When i told him i wanted my deposit back as i was told over the phone by a member of the team that it is a fully refundable deposit and is only used to secure the place and i’d get it back on the day, the only condition for not getting the money back is if i do not show up or cancel within 7 days. I obviously showed up and because i wouldn't sign up with them he told me that i am still not entitled to it as they provided me with a service and offered me a contract so if they offer my son a contract they don't have to give it back. It does not state this in the terms and conditions!!
The other point was that he said they do not offer contracts to everyone but i saw about 8 people go in that office and every single one of them come out with some sort of contract that he has sold them.
They are just there to take money off people!
Worst experience ever! I would not recommend to any body!!!
Since posting this review a manager has made contact with me and the service could not have been more opposite to what i have said above, he apologised for all the wrong doings and the behaviour of the person that i spoke with on the day.
They have refunded my deposit & couldn't have done more to try and rectify the issues.

This place is an absolute scam
This place is an absolute scam. No-one gives you their name when you arrive. Even if they do it will be a fake name. You will notice none of the reviews indicate anything about what happens after the shoot. We went through today and I am almost certain if we go to the premises tomorrow there will be nothing there. It is a complete complete scam. Do not go ahead with it. Pleeeeeese do not. Pleeeeeeese do not.
They are going to rob you. From the make up artists to the photographers right the way to guy who takes you into a quiet room to tell you your child has been successful. All a scam - PLEASE Don’t DO IT. I’m so upset right now. I will get over it but it is what it is. After this is posted - I won’t be surprised if another 5 positive posts which they probably get their mates to do to hopefully drown out the posts about how this is a scam.

We went yesterday so my 8 year old son…
We went yesterday so my 8 year old son Mason could have his first photo shoot and I must say myself and dad was so happy with how the day went, the lady who done masons hair and make up was so lovely, made him feel so welcome and really looked after him, the photographer was brilliant, gave Mason direction and we was really happy with how professional he was, at the end we got invited back to have a look at the pictures taken and we was amazed with how good they was, so we went on and brought the silver package and we are really excited on where this may go for Mason, it’s the start of something hopefully amazing!! Thank you to all at the studio yesterday you was amazing and I would recommend.

I'll make money for best life for my son
Need changing life and work - sphere.
For sometime my son has been determined…
For sometime my son has been determined to become a model and have a career in commercial work.
We have previously attended modelling companies that has offered to support my son to reach his goals but unfortunately they haven’t fulfilled what was promised.
We decided to search for another company to see if we would get a better service.
We came across Polo and sent information regarding my son with a picture.
Shortly after, I received a phone call off Paulo Garcia. Paulo was very helpful and explained how the company works and what Bailey would receive which was support and guidance to be seen by modelling agencies.
Paulo then booked my son in to be seen on Sunday 21st August.
The days leading up to our appointment, Paulo contacted on a few occasions to check in to see if we were ready for the day and to offer any support if needed. Paulo was amazing and made us feel very at ease before attending the studios.
On the day of the appointment everyone was amazing.
The women that done my sons hair and make up was very chatty and made us feel welcome. I loved how she done his hair throughout the photoshoots.
Then we met the photographer which was a lovely young girl. She made my sons experience fun and the photos were outstanding, my eyes even filled up I was so happy.
Once we finished the photoshoot, we met Sienna. Sienna was amazing, such a lovely women and very chatty.
She talked us through the next process step by step in detail as well as give us information on modelling agencies that she thought would be good for my son. Both myself and my son thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Sienna.
The day after the photoshoot I chatted with Paulo on the phone. Paulo asked how the day went and reminded us that we could contact him at any time for support. Paulo also sent agencies over by email for us to look at.
The whole experience was very professional.
The company made my son very happy and he really enjoyed his day.
Thank you very much

Total scam, do not recommend
Mark insured me this was a modeling agency and that I'd be offered a contract at the end if they liked my work. After the shoot the studio manager told me thats not a service they offer and had to give a sincere apology. Mark also insisted he'd hired a photographer who specialised in sports photo shoots but she wouldn't let me do more than one sports related outfit or use any of the props or equipment I was asked to bring.
Had a really great day today
Had a really great day today! Was so nervous about attending today and whether or not I would get my money back after reading some of the reviews.
Adam was great on the phone and reassured me and when I came in the team was great!! Definitely ignore the rest of the reviews as I had a brilliant time and will be booking more
