We were a bit concerned with some previous reviews. We were so pleasantly surprised because of these. We returned on 18th October. 2 adults 2 kids 16 and 10.

Accommodation - we had a superior suite, when we emailed to ask for 2 single beds for the kids instead of a sofa bed this was no problem. Room was exceptionally clean and spacious. Furniture is a bit dated but no stains on material etc. Terrace just beautiful with chairs and loungers. Great shower, room cleaned at any time you liked every day, fresh towels and sheets daily too.

Food - We went half board. Breakfast is bog standard but fresh, great coffee continental and cooked dishes to choose from.
Evening meal.... we were most concerned about this as we have been all over Italy and never had a bad meal! 3 choices per night - meat, fish or vegetarian. The food was superb, quite high end I'd say. If you're a fussy eater just order from the kid’s meals burgers, chips etc. Fab salad bar and as many desserts as you can fit in. Honestly no idea why anyone would complain about the food.
The bar cafe was closed for season so no daytime snacks. We just stocked up on break, meat, fruit from Garda.

Shuttle Bus - Morizio the driver is fabulous. Free service into Garda. Issue is it only holds 8 people. Coming back to the hotel we witnessed arguments as people just blatantly ignoring queues and trying to get on. Found it a bit stressful if I'm honest. Morizio tried his best. Bus too small I'd say.

Staff are absolutely wonderful from arrival to departure. Cannot do enough for you. Special shout out to Yolanda from reception.

Pool is Olympic size - cold. Fine for us Scots (and nice when you actually start to do lengths) but not for kids and can't stay in for long.

All grounds are immaculate and as all rooms are on steep slopes a wee buggy will take you around if needed (we didn’t)

We played golf, swam, used the family hour at the spa, ping pong and drinks on the terrace.

Verona - Nice but very busy
Ferry to Sirmione - beautiful place.

My advice is don’t listen to the haters. We'd go back no problem.

Well equipped apartament. Clean and warm.

Just a couple of little details, the room while clean was a little tired looking, however sheets and towels changed regularly and very clean.
The kettle was a little far away from the socket so awkward to plug in.
The view of Lake Garda from our room was amazing. The staff very friendly and helpful Perhaps there could have been more shuttles on but Mauricio the shuttle driver was very cheerful and upbeat and definitely a highlight of our stay.
The resort grounds were extremely well kept and swimming pool very clean. The food in the restaurant was good especially the breakfast with good variety.

Would definitely stay again

Good sports facilities, very good gym. Didn't use the restaurant but lots close by. Nice walk into Garda. Rooms are ok but do need some updating especially in the kitchen.

Hotel facilities excellent.
Bar staff could have been a bit friendlier but very busy because understaffed every night.
Room spacious and clean.
Lovely views.

A lovely resort with amazing views over lake Garda. Rustic but clean apartments and efficient curtesy bus to resort on a daily basis. Stunning pool with plenty sun loungers. Have booked again for next year.

All the staff were very friendly & helpful, rooms & grounds were clean & well maintained. Facilities are outstanding, just needs better awareness made for 'customer use'. Initially there were problems with the regularity of the shuttle bus, but after a few complaints this was sorted out. One improvement, if possible, would be a shuttle bus run for the evening to allow people to enjoy the town more. Only options were an expensive taxi ride or an unattractive 3km walk.

The hotel staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Always willing to help.

My stay with Poiano was delightful.From arrival and the reception staff the restaurant staff and everyone I met there. The complimentary bus to Garda town was a great bonus.The food was delicious and always had choices which could be enjoyed.The-bar even catered well for those like myself who cannot take alcohol.
Rooms were clean and comfortable and the TV with a
variety of international channels .

Loved our stay

Myself and 2 children 12 & 14 went to this hotel with my mum and dad to this resort for a week in August.

Really great service from all the staff.
Plenty of sunbeds, and great layout.
Poolside cafe brilliant. Choice and options for everyone
Gym, tennis and golf range we used and were really great to keep the kids entertained.
Shuttle bus to Garda was handy, but awful system to know who was first in the queue, coming back can be a very long wait.
Rooms were clean, well equipped, air conditioned and very comfortable.
Food was plentiful in choice. Always found something delicious. Never come across ordering our main meal the night before, but gave it a very personal touch and forced us to try some different things, always really good.
Bar in an evening was lovely and relaxing.

The views of the surrounding countryside and the Lake are stunning. The greenery and gardens so relaxing. Set back from the lake meant none of the mosquitos you hear so much about - which we were very thankful for!

All in all a wonderful relaxing holiday. I would definitely return to this hotel. It has a lot of charm, activities, amazing setting, wonderful food and comfortable rooms. I’ve even considered returning solo.

Good value stay in large appartment with all facilities. The main drawback was that it was some distance from Lake Garda and the town.

The staff were very attentive. The resort is beautiful and so well positioned, the views are amazing. The free taxi to and from the town is a huge plus!

The staff were very helpful and were very nice. All the facilities were great and really clean and nice to use. When we used the shower though it kept coming out of the shower bit and leaking , soaking the bathroom floor every shower use.

Perfect accommodation with open terrace,views were fantastic.Great service and friendly staff.shuttle service was excellent.

Really great place to stay - a bit of a walk into town but there's 2 shuttle buses that will get you there (remember to give yourself plenty of time to catch it on the way back).
Great breakfasts, and the room was nice and tidy.

Very nice good food and accommodation.

Although the rooms were very dated, we appreciated having the 2 bedrooms and kitchen. The bathroom looked like it was updated but shower stall was very small and not suitable for an average man. The variety and quality of the breakfasts was excellent.
