Avoid at all costs.

The negative reviews on here and other sites are real. Wish I would have read them first. Avoid them at all costs. I have been facing a lot of racism, islamaphobia and harrasment from West Midlands Ambulance services in and around Sparkhill, Birmingham. They have been following me when I go out, put loud sirens on when i walk past and they have attempted to run me over. When I made a formal complaint to the West Midlands Ambulance services, they harrased me even more.

I spoke to Shaun and told him about the problems, it was as if he already knew that I had these issues, like he was already told. He told me that they were having technical issues and he took my contact number down and said he will get back to me but has not been in touch. No voice mail or anything. Disgusting service. Avoid at all costs.

Appalling service

Appalling service. If you don't have a mental health condition you will once you receive their farcical advocacy. The one I was assigned had no experience to deal with universal services such as Disabled Children's services. I actually ended up advocating on his behalf than the other way round! I requested a change of advocate three times and they refused saying they are unable to. I made a formal complaint and the outcome was he will be given more training! The worrying part is they are a charity advocacy to support people with mental health conditions so I fear for anyone who has a mental health condition because you have to actually advocate for yourself and on behalf of their advocate!!!

Bizarre and appalling.

The advocate send me a draft document on which she referred to me in a very offensive way. I was horrified. Repeated requests for her to explain got me nowhere. It was just bizarre and nasty. I have complained to them but I do not expect they will do a thing. How on earth could I trust someone who'd do that to act in my best interests? I really needed an advocate. The whole thing is just sickening.

Caution required

An inefficient, ineffective, not fit for purpose organisation. Their website misrepresents their service, alleging successfully outcomes assisting people who have experienced the most extreme service failures with dire consequences.
From start to finish, their service was incompetent and this was a relatively simple case. At first it was assumed to be down to the particular advocate but it turned out to be the case across the board. Their advocates either lack common sense or deliberately obstruct the case sending correspondence to a lower ranking employees for resolution I.e., send a complaint to the administrator rather than the CEO and waste further time responding to the unsatisfactory administrator response. They took on a case unlawfully, did not communicate with the client, turned up with and left with the organisation that funds them and effectively advocated on their behalf. Reading other reviews its clear this is POhWER's mission. Don't waste your precious time with such an organisation, .

This is another rip off of tax payee…

This is another rip off of tax payee money. They aren't advocates bit time waster amateurs. Its been two years and despite all evidence they are expecting the patient to write the complaint and send it to them so they will forward it. Appalling services. Lastly the advocate who is in contact with the responsible party, they try to convinced the patient to change doctor. Admin staff verified the corruption of the advocates and the money they receive to stop claims. They are criminals, getting money to stop the complaints NHS seriously are corrupted and power are the prof. Rubbish.

Worst to Worse

Worst to Worse: Reviews below speak volume!

Hear my voice POhWER this is in light to your own Pledge:
I cannot convey strongly enough how DISempoWered, despicable and not fit for purpose, this organisation is:
From line manager to CEO alongside with the Operation Manager.
Failing to address serious complaints about their line managers
Failing to respond to my queries and emails
Failing to investigate complaints of the own staffs.
Failing people that they are meant to support, help and assist
Surely they must be accountable for their unacceptable service and be sanction for their failures. Should they be removed and replaced by another organisation who will dare treat their clients with respect and dignity?
It's a definite YES!

Appalling

Appalling.
An advocate who couldn’t write English well. Advised to split my complaint between to Trusts that turned out to be incorrect.
The advocate then went on maternity leave 5 days before a planned meeting but didn’t’t tell me.
No one could confirm she was on leave.
Second advocate spoke to me once and I never hear another word.
They have cost me so much time and distress in trying to make a complaint and left me alone to try to deal with it.
I’m not sure what purpose this organization serves.

They bring a whole new meaning to the word help.

At first staff were friendly and eager to help, the people you have a problem with talk to Pohwer and (not you the person seeking the help). They also arrive and leave with the people you have a problem with instead of talking to you the client. They knew of my problems and the help that i need but did nothing that they said they were going to do, Four years later still in need of help. Do not get your hopes up. As they do not do anything of what they say they will do. I need help writing letters i also need help getting a solicitor - these people did nothing to HELP. And really need to look up what that word means.
