Borders Podiatry & Performance Clinic always provides an excellent service. My experiences (through appointments with Dan) have always been positive due to a focus on what can be done rather than what can't be done. As a former athlete himself, Dan understands how the mind of a sportsperson works and that is of huge benefit to athletes (of any standard!) who are struggling with injuries or working through challenging periods.

I am writing this on behalf of my mum who is housebound. Dan has been visiting the house for a number of years now and always provided an excellent service. Mum looks forward to his visits and has more comfortable feet when he leaves having had a nice chat. The next appointment is made during the visit and I am kept informed via email.

Professional, friendly and very helpful service in bright clean consulting rooms. The first time I visited 18 months ago, Dan homed in straight away on the problems with my feet, and I felt like I was walking on air afterwards. I’ve been back regularly since then and cant recommend Dan and his practice highly enough.

Visited with an ongoing issue. Opted for an ultrasound scan.
Very clean and well presented space. Easy to book online. Dan was welcoming and knowledgable. Follow up email recapping what was discussed was very helpful.

Visited Dan with a problem with my feet which had been limiting the distances I could walk. After a thorough examination and scan I was given a diagnosis and exercises to do. The pain has all but gone and I have started hill walking again. As a footnote( excuse the pun) my wife has been using Dan and Anne for her podiatry for years. I can only highly recommend. My mum and I had an appointment with Dan in mid-January and were both impressed by the personalised attention we received. He took time to explain what he recommended and what he would do. Mum now able to wear shoes comfortably for the first time in a long while simply by having her nails trimmed properly. We have no hesitation in returning for a follow up appointment. Thank you.

We travelled 4 hours to this clinic based on its excellent reputation and we were so glad we did. A condition my son had struggled with for years was resolved in a highly effective manner and the pre and post care was personalised and highly reassuring. Strongly recommend this clinic. You will not be disappointed.

Dan is an expert in his field , takes time to listen to the customer, has a friendly demeanour ( not sure why anyone wants to work with feet , each to his own) always gives advice how to look after your ailment, I went for a one off appointment but now book on a regular basis. Well worth it ( especially being Diebetic)

Following some weeks of foot pain, Dan quickly uncovered my problem. What I had thought was a simple ankle sprain was compounded by a small bone fracture.

Dan recommended a program of exercises and the temporary use of an ankle support when out walking. This has lead to a good recovery.

Galashiels is lucky to have such professional and friendly team.

I’ve been using Borders Podiatry for many years, and finally persuaded my husband to go after him struggling for a while to cut his toenails. He’s so glad he went. Dan checked his feet and nails and cut his nails for him. He says he can really feel the difference in having them done professionally. Excellent service in a lovely clinic. They really are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend them.
