Too expansive. They Just upped the price to unlock episodesfrom 1 coin to 11 coins

I like the stories, but the price went way up for my 2nd purchase. So I didn’t purchase.
I’m thinking about deleting the app, thinking about the greedy owners.
I noticed you get fewer episodes to watch per $1

They need to reduce the cost back to original purchase and amount of episodes per $1.

First purchase was $0.99. 2nd purchase $1.99 for fewer coins and less episodes. The price doubled and number of episodes to watch are less.

Adding More Information:
Today is Friday the 13th. The other day with most of my audio books, I now get ads NON-STOP‼️ The ads never stop! The ads rotate, but immediately after an app is over another ad takes its place. I listen to 5 books every day, but only the free episodes.
This ad problem is on all of my books but 1.

I will definitely NEVER pay to listen to episodes.

I was getting at least 6 free episodes every day, but 2 days ago I started getting only 3 free episodes a day.

I’ve only been listening for about 2 weeks.

Do not download this app. It is now the most expensive audio book app on the app stores. They also have a low quality and don't own up when there own updates take epsiodes backwards that you already paid. Worse its all about getting money and greed now. They have just made a new update that has made coins more expensive from 8 to 6 cons for 1 dollar. They make all green epsidoes now 9 coins even if it's just a 5 min episode and yet no change tntheir quality and standards. They manipulate by doing this update on a Friday just before the weekend when people want to use it. They made so many expensive updates in costs at once and still didn't even warn us before so we didn't even buy bulk coins on Thursday. If you wokr it out you could spend $2000 dollars to finish one long audio story when they over 2000 epidoes at 9 coins each now even when they only 5 min. Every other app is much more economic in these expensive living cost times. This is disgusting as its all about money now. They still have poor tech support when you report lost episodes already paid. They even changed the time to later in the morning for when a measly free 30 min is given. I am a morning person and now that it's 11am to wait, it is so not worth it when most of my stories I stated at 5 or 6am, so they take complete control and manipulate the customer's trust for their own financial gains. Do not use this app!!! Do not download it! Many other apps are more cost effective in these costly living times. Even Amazon Audiobook wiht exceptional quality standard is cheaper. We all know how many new audio book apps are coming put and that are of same quality standard as this one but don't use greed to take so much money for measly 6 coins now. Stay away! This should be 0 out 5 stars. Wish trsutpulot will let us choose that option nowadays with the way apps are coming put left right and center.

It’s a Scam! Do not be tempted to continue buying into these stories as it ends up costing you hundreds of Dollars. All the reviews are telling the same story of being scammed out of their money with Faldo promises. This Company is a total SCAM!!

Terrible they hook u in and charge a fortune! I just deleted their stupid app!

Disgusted at their YouTube ads. They have no consideration for children or people with sensitivities who are forced to watch and listen to shocking images and storylines with no warning. Unethical and inhumane.

Like most reviewers here, I will confirm that this Pocket FM really is a scam company. I got hooked earlier in 2025 to “The Dukes Masked Bride” not knowing how they scam you as you get further along. But by then, I was hooked to the story and ended up buying coins.
Fast forward to now, I got up to episode 1270 out of 1300. I watched the ads for my free episodes the last two days I’m a row, planning to save up for the weekend and had 12 coins left. When I went to check the app, they put my free episodes I earned watching ads, back to 9 coins and was down to 3 coins, I was so irritated!!
I know others have lost way more than that, but the point is, there is no value for their loyal customers and they are cheating us, plain and simple. I am not going to even bother reaching out to their “customer service” because I know it will be a big, far waste of my time. I plan to delete this awful app and hope they get their pants sued to the max!!

Dear pocketfm you are truly greedy company it use to be 2 coins for a episode now you are greedy and 1 episode is 11 coins that is a big jump anybody reading should be warned some story don't give you the option to watch ads they just want you to pay pay pay

Was drawn in to a good book on Facebook. I liked the story line so kept buying more coins, eventually spending $138 by episode 300-ish. This book has over 1200 episodes. I get notices often telling me next week I get 3x coins, which never happens. They do not reply to emails. Total rip off.

I enjoyed listening to Pocket FM, even though it is definitely overpriced. But, suddenly, the platform and rules have changed. I earned coins from the offer Wall last night, and woke up to a new platform altogether. I can't get in touch with anyone to get my earned coins back. Also, I often listen to Pocket FM on my iPad, and now, Pocket FM doesn't recognize the two as my account. I have been locked out of episodes I've already listened to and paid for. I can't reconcile the error, and I'm really disappointed and upset. I purchased additional coins on my phone, but the purchase doesn't show on the iPad and I'm forced to begin listening again at episode 40, but I have purchsed, earned coins, and listened to all episodes to 267.
Too many get-rich-quick approaches are in cyberspace. I am trying to retrieve my money and losses. After I do, I will stop listening to Pocket FM.

They only let you hear one episode at a time. It starts at the end of the previous audio and counts that as one heard that day

I first used Pocket FM to listen to “My Dragon Princess.” I was horrified how much money I spent to listen to the entirety of that book. I told myself - NEVER again. I lied. For some STUPID reason, I started listening to “The First Legendary Beastmaster.” This app is a SCAM!! It’s no different than gambling apps for the phone that taunt and tempt people with gambling addictions. I’ve spent over $500 already, and I am ashamed of myself. In addition, there is no serious support. I’m stuck in hell where it only releases 4 episodes every 4 days. Each episode is 7-8 minutes of listening - another scam in and of itself! I want my money back!!!

When you get within 100 episodes of the conclusion, there are no more free daily episodes, and the cost to view each one goes up to nine coins.
Supposedly you get coins for continuing to use the app daily. I have over 1,000, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to use them.
The episodes lose track of the one you are currently listening to, and you have to page through all of them.
More trouble than it’s worth

This is a rip off company and they only get worse as time goes on. They are the opposite of relaxing with a good book. All kinds of hidden fees, releasing books that are not finished only to charge an astronomical amount to even listen when a new chapter comes out, books glich out and cause you to scroll and download chapter after chapter. Thousands of dollars I have spent trying to listen to some books, then find out I am being charged monthly on top of what I paid. No more, they dont give a shit about anything but their profit. They even rig it so you have to give 1 star just to let people know how despicable they are. They are a negative 10, stay far away from this company.

Do not get involved in there BS!!!!!! They rob you of money and then take weeks to upload new episodes!!!!!!!!

Waaay over priced. I can't stand how bad the site screws me out of episodes I watched ads to unlock. I watch. Then it just ignores that I did. When I pay. You get a lousy 7 mins of constantly repeated lines. Literally no story just repeated filler lines like. "It was none other than" or "he clicked his teeth or clicked her tongue" two or three times every 5 mins. This is a freaking money sucking joke. DO NOT GET HOOKED ON THIS JUNK. It is pulp fiction porn.

I listen to 15 books. Most was really bad. It isnt worth it. I will liked to say 3 or 4 of the books are good. But not worth it it

I was loving the app, until my 190 coins came up missing. When I went to bed last night I had 197 coins that, I was saving to binge listen on a roadtrip. My stories are where I left off when I went to bed. I keep auto unlock OFF. This morning I logged in to get credit and only had 7 coins. I contacted support, only to be told they can’t find any action that led to my coin usage, and was that helpful.
My other six responses to that have been ignored and still ignore 6 hours later.

Pocket FM removed access to coin-earning puzzle games without notice. Attempts to ask about this publicly have been deleted. Unable to submit a review, so came here to see if my attempts will be thwarted again!

I don't why so many people are so gulible to belive that this is a legit busines. Its clear that they are scanmers. They are using Ai in there ads. Everyone using Ai in Ad is not to be trusted
