I had lots of fun last night at Flight Club meeting a wide range of people! I liked that there wasn’t the pressure to be talking the whole time because we had games to play, but everyone got on really... See more

Great concept but it’s deceitfully hard to cancel my subscription which is hidden at the very bottom of the page and doesn’t work. I tried trying to cancel for around 30 minutes with no success.

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner experience with Storiboard. Such a great concept and great communication from the team. 10/10 would recommend.

All in all, the chef was very patient with us, explained everything clearly, and the food was delicious. I strongly recommend it for two people who want to learn how to cook and have some fun.

New organisational company. Their site offers Dinner Dates and Drink Dates as the only 2 options when booking in my area. I would feel more comfortable at a dinner date and so i selected my personal interests from the small list of options they gave.
So last week during my 7 day trial i was told 5 people would attend who shared similar interests. they give you 24hrs notice on where the event is being held.
But i never got to meet them.
i bought my train ticket and all ready.
then around 11am i was told that the event had been cancelled because a few people had dropped out due to illness. i guess it can happen.
they then offered me 3 options,
1 Join another group tonight
2 Move to next weeks dinner
3 Choose another date for one of our upcoming mixed-gender dinners or events.
Up until this point i presumed it would be mixed gender and now was given it only as a future option they might do.
So i chose the slightly younger group.
20 minutes went by and they back pedal on their option.
First their response was addressing a different person so felt inpersonal and i had to correct them. They told me the option they gave was not available and whether i would like a drinks event instead this Friday.
Again drinking events is not for me and is the main reason i chose the dinner event.
They thanked me for my flexibility and i chose to reschedule next week.
Train ticket 50% refunded due to same day cancellation.
Next week came and 24 hours before they reveal the venue was at the same place from last week.
Then as regular as clock work around 11am i get told my event has also been cancelled - due to unforseen circumstances.
So i am 2 weeks in. Past the 7 day free trial, my first subscription payment goes through for £16.99
I have asked for a refund and cancelled by subscription.
Their only part in the process is to organise like minded people into age groups. Feels like only a handful in similar age groups have subscribed to justify any such chance at attending any of the venues.
They claim to be partners with venues in the area yet i was organised into the same venue twice. Maybe only a partner with 1 dinner organiser.
Update:
Storiboard have issued me a full refund and have been very sincere to the complaints i raised. They are a fairly new company and have dealt with my issues and is all i expect them to do. I hope their company does well working around the issues with cancellations for other members.

Tried the dinner club and felt that they curated the group well! We got on well and had a lovely time. Restaurant had a nice vibe too

Yeah it was a fantastic night. The people I met made me feel very welcomed as I arrived late. Definately stay in touch with some of them. Great bunch of people. Great night from start to finish .

Tried StoriBoard for the first time and genuinely loved it.
I signed up, chose a date and they matched me with a small group of people with similar interests. The restaurant got revealed the day before, it was a Thai spot in Edinburgh I’d always wanted to try! We ended up being three of us and the vibe was just easy. Good food, great conversation, lots of laughing. No awkwardness, no forced activities, just real people sitting down and connecting. It’s such a refreshing change from endless scrolling and group chats that go nowhere. I’d 100% do it again.

Really happy with the experience - I appreciate all the information was sent ahead of time, explained everything and also matched with people that I believe shared common things indeed! It's a nice way to meet new people and get out of your comfort zone! Highly recommend if you fancy trying something new!

Such a Special Night!
I honestly didn’t expect the evening to turn out the way it did. I went in for dinner with six complete strangers — and somehow, it became one of the most enjoyable nights I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere felt warm and relaxed from the start. Nothing felt forced or overly formal. It was just good energy, beautiful surroundings, and a space that naturally brought everyone together.
The food? Incredible. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor without being overwhelming. You could tell care went into every detail — from presentation to taste. It wasn’t just a meal; it felt like an experience.
What really made it special, though, was how easy it was to connect with everyone around the table. Great food has a way of doing that — breaking the ice, sparking conversation, and turning strangers into friends for the night. If you’re looking for more than just dinner — if you want something memorable — this is the place. I’ll definitely be back.

Was a fun experience and nice to try something new! Also liked that the restaurant was somewhere I hadn’t tried before and was revealed the evening before as adds to the build up and mystery for the night!

I have been to a few of these events in Manchester for drinks and it has been very good meeting new people and going onto bars afterwards with Sarah and Miriam and I also has a good group at my first event I attended my recent one I attended last night the venue was very noisy with loud music you could not hear people’s conversations etc and this lead to one or 2 people leaving the bar with in the first hour the group I got left with was very cliquey and I felt like a spare part I got the feeling they did not want me there some of them had more conversations with strangers in the bar then they had any interaction with me all night those are the downsides but I would definitely recommend people trying these events

I had to rearrange an event and subsequently went over the 7 day free trial. The Storiboard team kindly extended my trial so that I could go to an event before committing to the subscription. They were very responsive and efficient with this.

It was such an exciting evening, the movie-Film was beautiful, realistic, basically about life and what realistically happens to people, loved it.
The group really got on really well, we didn't need an icebreaker topic it was so natural, we talked all tru, before, during and afterward, all the way to the Angel Station before everyone went their separate destination.....it was really nice experience for me, never done something like this before but I had such a great time and I would encourage people to give it go, you'll never know until you give it a try, what you got to loose, that's what I told myself after contemplating cancelling few times, now am glad I didn't.

I recently attended a salsa class with Storiboard, and it was such a fun experience! We took a quick quiz and got matched with other participants, which made it really easy to connect with new people. The class was engaging, well-paced, and the atmosphere was so friendly. I loved getting to dance with strangers and immediately feel part of the group. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to try something new and social!

The service is a con it says free trial yet you are charged £28.99 with a no refund policy. I am sure that’s not legal and will be checking with Actionfraud and reporting them to visa

Everything is arranged very well, communications clear and in good time to join the different activities. People that I was with: at Salsa, darts and dinner on 3 different occasions were friendly and inclusive. Club is Good value for money and additional costs at the venues are all optional and clear.

I had an amazing time at the storiboard club event. Ended up meeting some of the friends I made that evening again and all in all I just think the storiboard club is perfect for travelers, busy people, introvert-extroverts, and anyone who’s tired of trying to make friends the “traditional” way. If you want to meet people without the pressure — and without the chit chat — this is for you. Would love it if they introduced it to other parts of the world as well :)

The organisers really believe in friendship, and they show it through the friendliness of each individual interaction, as well as the events they organise! They choose activities that are thoughtful and meaningful.
I personally appreciate their customer care, and their receptiveness to feedback. It's rare to see a business that is so friendly and approachable!

So I joined storiboard last week very apprehensive but I had an absolute blast at last night’s meetup! Such a friendly, welcoming group and really well organised. I met so many lovely people and the atmosphere made it so easy to relax and have fun. It was great to connect, laugh, and just enjoy a brilliant night out together. I’ll definitely be coming along again and would highly recommend this group to anyone thinking of joining.
