Great support for a deaf friend
The technical support at Plusnet are excellent, especially Nathan. We helped a deaf friend upgrade his McCaffee anti virus software to Norton. Nathan was patient, helpful and attentive. He didn't close the call until he had helped us get the PC upgraded, which took a while due to the age of the computer.

To be honest I think they should dump the tv ads and invest in the internet and fix it, so many calls still not fixed, stuck in a contract, offered refund of £10.00 compensation, never refunded, offers again the same thing then an email arrived saying problem solved, and cancel your complaint, I rang again, apparently Plusnet thought it was solved, now a new router?, if your brave and fancy poking your money down the drain, and want to have a lousy service join up Plusnet.

Worst broadband provider of them all
Worst broadband provider of them all. If you don't add payment details to your broadband account, on the day your monthly bill is generated your service will be immediately restricted/throttled - but my bill is usually wrong every month and I get overcharged, I have to phone up, waste 20 minutes of my life only to then get a 'credit' towards next months bill and get my broadband restrictions lifted. I have to endure this every month. Plus.net have become such a mess.
Dire customer service - Not to be trusted
The most appalling and dire customer service I have ever experienced. Words fail me regarding the service I received recently except to say I will be leaving Plusnet as soon as my current contract runs out. 1 STAR IS TOO GOOD FOR THEM !!!!!!

On 21.04.22 I switched from BT to Plusnet. PlusNet's 1571 message service is called Voicemail. On 01.05.22 I upgraded from Voicemail to Voicemail Extra, which sends text alerts to my mobile if I receive an answerphone message on my landline. But it doesn't! I can't even access 1571 from my landline because the voice says "You don't have this service. Contact your service provider". When I asked PlusNet why my 1571 isn't working, they said that the 'old' voicemail facility was cancelled on 01.05.22 when I ordered Voicemail Extra, but I won't get the Voicemail Extra service until they charge me for it on my next bill, which will be on the 7th June!?!
Crazy! Terrible service!
P.S. Eventually I got a fully working Voicemail Extra facility from PlusNet, but that was FIVE WEEKS after I ordered it!
Finally dumping them
My contract with Plusnet has finally ended and the servuice provided has been totally not fit for putpose.
Furtunately a proper 100% fribre optic service is imminently avauilable to me and I will be using this service in the next few weeks.
I can not sign up to another service yest as one is firced to do so for a long period of time..
Plusnet have increased my monthly charge in the interim to almost double for a service that is barely functional. The new proper complete service I will be getting has agreed to compensate me for the cost I have to pay out reluctantly to Plusnet in the interim period. The problems with Plusnet during the contract are due to the router being not powerful eneough and the service recieved being intermitent in terms of reception of service meaning it being vuirtually impossible to watch anything streamed and the conection constantly going down. Plusnet afforded every opertunity to resolve but faiked totaklly to do so. They even tried to suggest I should purchase a BT router which may work better and that they would pay gbp50 towards cost.
They did provide a replacement router which was sama as original and just as useless. I had purchased a booster which rather dissapointedly only afforded minimal better service.
Low rating for Plusnet tell their own story. My advuise is steer clear of this company. New saying = That wont do

Worst internet provider in Yorkshire. They have gave me so much trouble I moved to virgin and it was the best thing i ever did. Can’t even understand half of there customer service reps. One of the worst speeds out there too and they don’t care about paying customers who have been there 4 years. One massive joke Jason manford can suck my nads
10 days and still no mobile service!
I have got my new sim card since 13 April, today is 23 April and I still have no service. I called twice and they keep telling me the problem will be solved soon, outrageous. If you cannot give a service why are you taking people’s money for it?!

Plusnet Broadband has supplied me with broadband for the past 4 years without any problems whatsoever the speed is constant no buffering on tv streaming etc customer service is excellent I would highly recommend them

Unbelievable possibly corrupt. I have had 5 rental houses with this rubbish company. Poor signal constant issues they just fob you off. Worst thing is they never remind you when contractvends then sticknyounon a higher tariff. They've owed me £40 since November as a refund but will never pay me. I specifically asked them to not send to one rental property but after a month they admitted they had !!! Unbelievable!! So I asked them to cancel cheque and send to my address. Nothing ??

I have had a plus net Mobile contract for a few years now. When I phoned up to request a new sim as mine is lost a few months back, I told them my bank details to pass security. They told me it was wrong, I even looked at my Internet banking told them the amount and when it was taken out yet, I was still apparently wrong. I then phoned up and the man said this time they could not match my name to the account yet, I had the Internet account open which stated my name and, I had an email saying thanks Liarna your bill is.... When I explained my issue to the man on the phone he said because I did not pass security I had to call again, I said yes there is no point because regardless you have my details wrong so, he hung up on me. I then contacted complaints. I forwarded on my email to them and they started to respond I said I wanted to have my money back for the last few months as I have not had a sim due to this company messing up my details. Then he stated until I sent ID to him he could not deal with me as I changed my name by deed poll (but it was literally one letter different not, a change in surname etc.). Following me sending this, I've been ignored for like 6 weeks. Even though I've supplied ID with my address. They have since had the cheek to say I have missed my payment. Why would I pay towards a contract that I don't have the sim for. Why are my details incorrect. This is a major cause for concern and I hope my details have not been sold on or Plus Net allowed fraudulent activity on this account.
Absolute shambles. Switch takes 3 days
Absolute shambles.Internet was supposed to switch Friday.
Engineer, who i wasnt expecting, came out. Said it would be on in an hour.
Nothing happened.
Called support Saturday who said it would now be midnight on Monday. When i said the emails said Friday i was told the terms and conditions said 12 hours. They could not grasp this would still be Friday.
Now left having to call work again on Monday.
Stay away. Dishonest advertising, dishonest engineers, and incompetent phone staff. Will report to ofcom over the advertising, but no doubt they will continue as before.

Switched mobile contract to this company on line, was a fantastic rolling deal, best deal on the market, we have a stronger signal than before and it was all very smooth, sim cards straight away and switched over within 3 days, surprised as I had internet with them before and had some problems and thought I'd never use (why we only wanted rolling) so was nervous but all very impressive!
Avoid, expensive and bb keeps dropping
I took a ok deal when signed up. After 18 months it was lockdown. So decided to stay and paid for line rental saver and somehow still £28 a month and i believe they incresed price when you arent new customer. Ok.but bb keeps dropping, many time a day. And we were working from home that time. After line rental saver finished after a year they stopped it. And charged me £34 bb+line rental. So i switched. Not impressed with their price and quality of bb. Would suggest avoid it.

Unbelievably bad company!!!!
I have been with Plusnet for years with no real issue's, but then I moved house. Plusnet cut off my phone line 5 days before my moving date, even though the promised it wouldn't. When I moved into the new house that also had Plusnet as a supplier, I was up and running in no time or so I thought.
I was told that even though the service was up and running, I needed a new account, as they couldn't bill me on the current user account. They said it would be a smooth transition and I wouldn't notice the change. I gave them a new user name to use and expected not to notice the change. I was cut off for over 5 days again (this is during a pandemic and working from home).
There customers service don't have a clue what is going on in other departments, they may promise the world, but everything they say will happen, doesn't, it's the complete opposite.
They have no understanding of their systems, processes and procedures. Everything is disjointed in this company and it's the most poorly run organisation I have ever come across.
The final straw was this weekend. On Friday evening my phone line and broadband went down, I checked all connections and went to a fireworks display, when I got back, everything was still down. I checked my emails, Plusnet had emailed me at 17:39pm saying we're sorry to see you go, but your account ending 10 has now been cancelled, my new account ends 11, so this shouldn't have effected anything, again, I am now cut off. I was apologised to and told they would do everything to get me back up and running within 5 days. Today is the 8th Nov 2021, I got a text message on Sunday the 7th saying, your service will go live on the 16th Nov 2021, unbelievable. Not only have this company cut me off for the 3rd time, through no fault of my own, but the can't even sort the problem out in a timely manor.
My house has a very poor mobile phone signal and I'm just getting enough of a connection to write this review, that's how annoyed I am.
Plusnet are useless, they're the worst ever. I can't explain how disjointed and clueless this company really are.
Please avoid this company like the plague.
