Lot's of totally ridiculous hidden costs. Technically and legally ok , but totally untransparant. Think 2-4-100 times before using their card. Short : legal thieves !

BEWARE Do not use this company!!

Ordered the keys at the end of July on a 5-7 day lead time, I contacted the company at the beginning of September and they apologised and promised to dispatch the 2 keys immediately. It is now Oct 6th and as with many other customers I am still waiting. It would appear to be a massive scam and doubt very much if the positive reviews are genuine!

PlugSurfing charging for nothing

Charges per-session fees for broken chargers. Every time a broken Ionitiy charger is used with their app they will charge a full session.
It happened that it took me 3 attempts to connect a charger and they charged full price for the sessions even the invoice was clearly indicating that 0kwh was delivered in the first two sessions.
Their customer support ignores the problem.

Poor customer services

Poor customer services. My keychain doesn't seem to work on all charging stations, while the keychain of my colleague works fine. But I can't seem to get a new one. Also paid 10 euro's for it. Been in contact with support for a few days now and they don't seem to understand the issue and they also won't send me a new keychain.

I'm going to look elsewhere.

Unresponsive and charge in Euros if they can.

I used a EVDriver charge point in Suffolk UK. Charged using the "EVDriver" App. About 3 months later I received an invoice in Euros from PlugSurfing. I asked them a) who they are) and b) to bill me in the currency and price advertised on the charger (obviously in GBP).
They refused and took Euros from my GBP Debit card, causing my bank to raise foreign currency transaction charges. No apology, no refund. They claim that without a "billing address" (not needed on the app when I set it up) they automatically bill in Euros. Bananas and possibly against UK VAT regs. Their pricing is high, so they saw me for the last time. Shame actually as charging points are few and far between here and I now stick to POLAR - never had a problem.

Pass not delivered - no response after.

Similar to other users - never received the pass. When I called they promised to (re)sent it immediately. Again not received. No response to queries. Not sure how this company can be so inconsistent, given some other reviews are quite ok. For me it is no pass - no service.

Simply just works

Simply just works - almost everywhere.
It’s cheaper than having multiple suppliers or paying for a monthly subscription - IF you charge mostly at home and use this when you’re out and about.

Stay away from this company!!

Stay away from this company!!! I've never in my life had such a bad experience as this was.
I was charging my car one day via the Plug Surfing app, but the app froze so I had to manually stop the charging, which I did, and I drove away. Three months later I got a bill from them which stated I was charging for more than 16 hours that time (it was around 20 minutes) and I was billed 70€.
I contacted the charger operator and they referred me to Plug Surfing support. I wrote a complaint online explaining my situation and providing evidence I didn't charge that long.
Theresa Penndorf was assigned to my ticket. A month later no response so I respond asking if there were any updates - another two weeks later - still no response.
Thankfully I was billed via PayPal and I managed to open a case online and after they haven't received response from Plug Surfing as well, they refunded me, so I got my money back.
To this day, it has been 70 days since I posted a ticket on their website, no response, not even an apology. Horrible!

I am an experienced user of electric…

I am an experienced user of electric car in Scandinavia. That's why it was with frustrations I drove my new e-Golf from Albruck to Flensburg. I thought I was well done with my Plugsurfing APP and Plugsurfing Charging Key/REID Card. There were not many charging stations that could be unlocked. The app did not work at all, and the Charging Key/REID Card failed 90% of the time.
I am really happy to drive electric car, and even more glad that I do not have to drive an electric car in Germany but in Scandinavia. I think I tried to charge between 15-20 times in vain. The best way to charge in Germany is to charge at the kostenslos on the highway.
