Very expensive and no support
Very expensive. And when you run into trouble and try to use their support form, you find out that they removed the 'submit' button on the form. So you can't file a ticket.
Then, when trying their forums, you find out that messages aren't posted.
So you simply pay a lot but you cannot reach them.

Poor customer support for an expensive solution: Overall, you’ll get more accurate answers from their AI bot than from their human support team.
If you have a complex request, human support can easily mess things up—especially when more than one person replies to the same ticket. One person may provide one answer, while another gives the opposite. This can lead to solutions that might break your sites or setup, so you definitely need a backup server to restore everything in case their proposed fix damages your system.
In conclusion, it’s a very expensive solution with prices increasing every year, and if you also have to pay for a staging server license, your costs can skyrocket.
I mistakenly purchased the wrong…
I mistakenly purchased the wrong license version (VPS instead of Dedicated) and wanted to exchange it.
CleverBridge referred me to Plesk support.
I asked to either cancel the €170 license or convert it into one for a dedicated server.
Plesk, however, only offers the usual unhelpful AI support. The AI simply suggested upgrading the license in my Plesk account. But this “upgrade” would cost another €170—meaning I could just throw away the old license and buy a new one.
That’s an extremely poor service experience.
SCAMMERS
SCAMMERS! stay away from them! Horrible to deal with! They like to play games. I need my license key to be re-activated and they were asking me to prove that it needed to be yet they have access to my account and can tell that there's only one server connected to the license key. They're horrible customer service and it's a horrible product.!

Not a long-term hosting solution
This customer service sucks. I can't retrieve our data when we have an issue with the host, and they shut down our hosting permanently. We don't recommend this as your long-term hosting solution.
Keeps crashing every day - No response
Keeps crashing every day. When i write then an Email, they never respond. (I wrote them 3 emails about the same problem, but they haven't replied once)
Horrendous
Horrendous, have been using it for the past few years to manage a single server, one client who has multiple websites (one of which is quite large) I've had problems since day one i.e. I couldn't clone a staging site as the system couldn't handle copying a large site, but it's just been one problem after another, can't update this or that, can't FTP, used it once and never again. Just host your WordPress sites on WPEngine or Siteground so somewhere, this is a massive headache.
Plesk works perfectly in terms of both…
Plesk works perfectly in terms of both usability and security, and it also offers affordable prices and good discount opportunities compared to other panels. I thank its employees.

We stopped the (useless at least for us) plesk 360 (really expensive tool for just being collection of dashboards) and they keep insisting with email to renew (telling us that the auto-renew is on, while it is not!)
I do not like the whole env: there is absolutely NO effort to instruct/educate users to become aware system administrators, it is just a tool for ignorant to become even more ignorants.
Yearly price hikes hurts SMBs
Yearly price hikes hurts SMBs. I’m moving to another platform for all my servers.
Unethical, Uncooperative & Lacks Transparency
Plesk sells and installs en-masse Control Panels to Resellers. I opened VPS servers with 2 different ISPs and each time experienced the same issue at set-up.
Forget spinning up a server in seconds. For me it's now days/ a week for set-up just because Plesk's automated set-up, supposedly gives me root access, except I have no control of config files!!
I run large databases. I change max_input_var in php.ini in my local, restart server and new settings take effect instantly. In Plesk set-ups, there is a master copy of PHP above my level of access, that BLOCKS.
So anyone thinking they have root access to their settings - forget it. What if there's a cyber attack and I need to spin up a new server? Impossible.
Contacting Plesk directly:
1) No phone numbers work. They ring but out of order or they loop.
2) Email: REGINA is utterly incompetent. She half understood and in an exchange of over 20 emails refuses to answer simple non-tech questions, such as "how do you operate", "who is to blame?" I didn't ask HER to fix. I just asked form of operations and why their installs block VPS root users from full control.
Hello there.
Hello, I was previously less satisfied with Plesk, but want to make apologies. It is hard for start but simplifies in occurrent production purposes. Thank you IONOS Partnership for key, and then I wish best luck, it needs really a long time to make something like this. For start it was 1 star, then with few understanding of UI it is 4 stars, but still some personal difficulties I cannot overview objectively.
I trust and recommend Plesk, have a good day!
Total horror.
Total horror.
Slow admin panel and outdated server optimization.
It's all slow and some of the settings don't make sense.
Object cache never worked properly.
And it's all 10 years behind.
Plesk has been getting worse and worse…
Plesk has been getting worse and worse and no longer has any competitive advantage.
Sure it supports docker, where WHM doesn't, but only docker, docker-compose isn't supported and you'll still manually have to setup everything for a compose system.
WordPress Toolkit was amazing, still is, but since other panels now have it, it's no longer a plus to Plesk.
As for email, it's the worse, it's got next to NO ability to filter spam by regex, SEIVE or other... They support grey listing SEVERWIDE ONLY and as for tools for tracking mail delivery and dealing with mail issues. There isn't any....
I can't honestly recommend this panel, some basic features that are a MUST still haven't been implemented 8 years on even though customers have been asking for it constantly.
I wish I could say something more positive about it, it's interface is ok I suppose.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Highjack you, rob you blind, incapable of simple requests about even speaking to them. They would not cancel my service then after my contract was up. Two months after service was argued about and was told my contract was up and cancelled I was still billed there after. After fighting my way to the tool to get service from a beyond manager. With a third party of inc authority service representative going to bat with me I was able to force them to agree to give me 200$ back and to cancel my domain sincerely for sure with on phone verbal witness. They would still not reverse charges of 29.99 x 2 for domain said they couldn’t it what possible. I told them to grow up and don’t hire damn jobs and to stop being worthless because it wasn’t my job to fix their mistakes and I want going to refund my own money to myself. Do not use this company their are thieves robbers and hijackers. I asked them where there office was they said chicago/ somewhere else, and Bulgaria. Obviously that tells you everything you need to know. Do not use this service and if you have experienced this same types of issues and are reading this please also then leave a review so that other custokers don’t end up in same situation as is. 2.4 as a rating over all. They need to stick to their own country and stop infesting ours. I hope Americans realize this is why humans here in America need to work is because when you branch out and sun out work to other countries they will disgustingly destroy Americans purposely becaus s they do not care for us. Mostly cause most Americans are crazy and worthless. And I can agree with them on that fact. FJB and anyone that follows that regime. Any Americans choosing to deal with and do business with out of country site holders and severs and more should be held accountable for associating with folks like this. Neve again would I deal with Plesk. Never. And you should not either. Thank you
Plesk going dowhill... Fast!
Ever since Oakley Capital acquired Plesk (along with several other companies/brands under their WebPros portfolio) it's being going downhill. Also every year you get a "nice" price increase (every single year).
Plesk states that the price increase is needed to and I quote "to invest heavily in product development and grow our partner ecosystem", "even more new solutions to support" and "leader in server, web infrastructure, and WordPress automation solutions".
Wow. That makes Plesk the perfect product for hosters and their customers, right? Well forget about that. The only thing Plesk actually "leads" in, is terrible high pricing (each year a new price increase) and instead making things better, things are getting worse! They only spend money changing the UI with more gimmicks and flashy graphics, not the experience itself.
For example; I reported an issue 7 or 8 months ago. It probably would be fixed, but there was no time for it. So last month I decided to update the support ticket about the status. Apparently they forgot or didn't care for it, so I kept pushing and it finally got fixed. Wow. Only ~8 months. Great service!
Support in general is also going downhill completely as well. It takes more time before getting an answer/solution and most of the time you are you get answers that you have to hire an expert (outsource the Plesk issue) or do it yourself. Sigh.
I doubt Plesk will be in the business long if they keep this up. And when Oakley Capital sees a repeating decline (in their revenues) they will drop Plesk completely or sell it off to some weird company most probably for scraps. And guess where you are this point as a hoster...?
Plesk was the best solution around, by far, till ~5 years ago when they were acquired by Oakley Capital. After that things changed (and not for the better either). The first year was still okay, after that the first price increases came and things went completely sour after that...
Just my 2 cents. Not that Plesk cares, let alone Oakley Capital.
A very bad control panel
By mistake, I have deleted 80% of my websites. There were no messages. I don't understand, I wanted to delete one website and it ended deleting many websites. Then, I wanted to restore the website. the mysqldump didn't work. There was an issue related to settings which was known by plesk users on their forums. Control panel is slow from time to time. It does not come from my virtual server.
So, i want to tell my story. I used plesk and I wasn't happy about the wordpress management feature that interfered with wordpress installations. I moved my most important websites to a free control panel: Hestia and i am happy about it. One day, I wanted to migrate the websites left on the Plesk installation. So, i decided to first delete the empty website. By doing so, at some point, in one go, I have deleted all domains. I don't know how I did it because I didn't see a popup message. Then, I told myself, no problem I have backups. I discovered that the databases of every website were missing in the backup. They use a mix of tar and another compression format that nobody uses. It is called zstd. Anyways. Conclusion, I lost everything because of Plesk control panel.
