This has been an ongoing issue since before Christmas. We shelled out a not inconsiderable sum on an Eclipse Smartboard to try and have our own wee Flight Club in our games room.
Straight away the issues started, not detecting darts hitting the board.
Contacted this lot and had to take a video showing the problems to be told it was the darts fault as brass doesn’t take the magnetic charge. Fair enough, but thy glossed over the supplied darts also behaving erratically.
Bought two sets of more expensive tungsten darts and guess what? That’s right, still wasn’t detecting all of the hits, sometimes 1 out of 3 was working.
So contacted again, took ages to get a response and when I did a new board was being sent. Great thinks I, problem solved…

Took 3 weeks to arrive (I appreciate the holiday period in between) and when it arrives, it’s the wrong board. They sent the older (cheaper) version that doesn’t have USB C connectivity (one of the main reasons we went for the more expensive Eclipse board.

Emailed again to inform them and request a swap and yet again radio silence from them .

Next stop for me is Trading Standards as I basically have a product that is not fit for purpose and a company that couldn’t care less about their statutory obligations.

Only reason it’s not 1 star is they did send a board, albeit the wrong one.

But I would recommend people to believe the poor reviews of the Smartboards and not, like me, think it’s just hyperbole.

Edited: they have now contacted to say another board will be sent, benefit of doubt that it will be the correct one.

I appreciate that you have boards in commercial premises and 650m hits detected is an impressive stat, but how many throws? Sort of meaningless without the full data context. I can only document MY experience in your product which, so far, has been poor. Having to constantly say “hasn’t registered that dart” when people are playing is an annoyance too far for an expensive product.
