Works great and has been since at least 2021 when I started using it fully over a self hosted, custom written version on BORE. I can’t recommend it and specifically PLUS more than ever. Patrick has always been accommodating and helpful although the team has expanded since then.

I´ve used Playit for a long time now and it worked flawless for me. Premium is also cheap and allows for customization.

Easy and does exactly what I need, with a very low price for premium. Owner is transparent and communicates with the community. 10/10 recommend. I haven't found anything that's even close to this performance/price ratio,

Amazing Use for trying to port forward servers when you can't do it on your own router, used the free version for awhile for minecraft for friends and a little community i have, and then ended up using the premium version to host multiple game servers too.
all these hateful reviews are literally people who try and use malware to scam people/hack them, or their ISP is too slow to be useful to even port forward in the first place. and it even has added functionality with linux so you can go more indepth with server control.

Been using for years. Recently started paying for premium and have had no issues. The ability to port forward games like Minecraft and Factorio when my ISP uses CG-NAT is legendary.

Sadly, people have been using the platform to hide Command and Control servers for malware, botnet and the like which has forced the owner to restrict the free tier. If you only want to use common ports like Minecraft Java or Bedrock or UDP you'll have no issues.

Patrick is the best, Playit is the best, take some time, meet people in the discord, and have fun setting up gameservers with this fantastic service. Patrick you rock dude. thank you. Will have a premium membership for life.

An incredible service for free AND for only a smidge of money! Because of it, I've been able to host everything from Foundry TTRPGs to Minecraft servers without having to worry about port stuff!

Free tier is great for hosting minecraft servers, but the domain tends to get blocked by certain ISPs because some bad actors decided to use Playit for malware. Use a free VPN and you can connect anyway.

The people you see complaining here seem to expect too much from Playit. It's a free service run by one person. Patrick puts in tons of time, and has put in plenty of his own money (at a loss) to provide the masses with a free option for game hosting! The free tier is incredible, and I used it to host two minecraft servers and a voicechat server for months without issue. Just had my players use VPNs when needed.

I signed up for Premium so I could use custom domains, but mostly to support Patrick because I believe in what he's doing and see the dedication that he puts into Playit. The service is worth your time, and is a godsend for those who need to open up a server to the internet without port forwarding, and without paying $20/month for hosting.

Great service, can’t use TCP Ports anymore for free but for 3 Bucks a Month it’s worth to unlock the features and Support that great work.
I prefer pay some money and support a great service than get it free and pay with my Data in China.

Have been using the service since my ISP moved to CGNAT I have had 0 problems and 99% uptime (updates)

Awesome service! I’m able to host all of my servers without port forwarding and have had zero issues. The project is maintained by a very talented developer who is responsive and genuinely helpful on Discord. I highly recommend this to anyone hosting their own servers. The premium plan is only $3 a month and is more than worth it, supporting the developer helps keep the service improving. Bad reviewers cant afford $3 a month...

playit.gg is really awesome. I have had my own minecraft server for a while, and wanted to find a good way to securely make it available to my friends. Play it has worked perfectly for me for a long time. At first I just used the free version which did and still does work great, but it is absolutely worth the small price of premium so that I can use a custom domain for my players to connect as well!

Best I have ever used no need to port forward all you do is download it run it and enter run your service super simple 🙂even decided to buy a subscription and it’s the only subscription I pay for

I've only had great experiences with playit.
Ever since I got my own homelab I looked for a lot of ways to get my domain working with it, and playit was the greatest option I could find, my life has been made so much easier and their support is 5 stars!

afte using premium for almost 1 years, it was a worth 3$ per month, even water bottles cost 4$ in us these days... for just 3$ i can host my minecraft server + geyser + voicehcat + vote site with ease without port forawrding on router! very usefull if anyone doesn't has public ip!. and yes im a real person!

I've been using Playit.gg for over a year now, excellent service for cheap, has a free trial exclusively for Minecraft Servers, but it works for so much more (I used it for 7 Days to Die, Astroneer, Terraria, Age of Empires and others).

You can use it to expose all sorts of services to the internet.

Playit's offerings are awesome and affordable. If you are whining because it's not free, you lack knowledge of what this takes to upkeep. I am a network engineer and I truly admire this endeavor. I recommend this software to everyone that I think can benefit from it.

as of recent free users lost access to tcp and tcp+udp tunnels, which albeit, really sucks, should negate from the fact that this is a great platform. besides the limitations are temporary.

anyways, this is really useful for people who are unable to port forward (for anyreason, i cant because s p e c t r u m a p p)

My experience with playit was great! A stable service with excellent free options and very affordable paid ones. The only thing I would point out is the stock of dedicated IPs, as sometimes you want one but it's not possible. Otherwise, 10/10, highly recommended.

Great. Works as you'd expect, nothing more to say about it. Price is extremely reasonable.
When your options are either self-hosting and paying 3 dollars a month, or paying 30 dollars a month for the same hardware, which is my case, it shows just how necessary this is. For people like me who cant port forward and who need to make their server publicly accessible, it is easily the best option, and its existence is a blessing.
Complaining about its price, 3 dollars a month, only makes sense when not comparing to the price of a server, which is much higher. 11/10, would and will use again.
