Worst customer service.
Read the review written by Takmen. I’m having exactly the same issue. Was told that order can’t be cancelled even though I attempted to cancel a day after ordering. Apparently it had been marked as shipped but wasn’t shipped until 4 days later. So I had to wait for item to arrive and compete online return form. Still waiting for a returns label which was promised over a week ago. Didn’t receive the label and emails seem to be ignored.
Terrible customer service, too slow or not responding, can't get refund
It took a full week for an order to arrive. Seeing how long it was taking (Amazon UK had the same price and next day delivery) I tried to get more details about when it will arrive from customer service, they didn't get back to me with any updates. Then I tried to cancel the order next day, they got back to me 8 hours later with a no.
I asked for a return after receiving the product and it's been another week and they still haven't sent me shipment barcode, so I can't send it back. At this point, they are either ignoring me or being extremely slow, I assume I will never be able to get my money back and I didn't even open the box!
Terrible customer service, just buy it from a third party seller, never shop directly with them.
Long delivery time, worth the wait,
Ordering direct from backbone was a slower delivery process than usual. It took 9 days from ordering to delivery. In this day and age of Amazon prime, and online commerce - that feels way too long, especially for a tech product. The product however is 5 stars. Absolutely love my backbone.

Bought this item as a test...
Bought this item as a test against the Razer Kishi I bought over a year ago, love that thing by the way, and it holds no ground. Comparing the 2, Backbone has defects and issues amongst many other things, as well as comfortablility. The money spent on it wasn't worth the price. It would be better off as a dollar store item, if I'm being honest. The Razer Kishi has held up and has continued to amaze me since buying it. No issues and customer support is always there. I haven't had any issues with them whatsoever. If you're looking for something worth the price like this, go to Razer, not some new-found item that wants to try and mimic it.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. I have read multiple good reviews before ordering direct from backbone website. Big mistake. Customer service is basically non existent. ordered months ago, have yet to recieve it. The mail carrier (USPS) has yet to receive product to even ship to me. Like I said customer service is horrible, no replies from emails the number they have stated on website is some person in oregon(who, understandable, is angry at all the calls from backbone customers). Covid is not a valid excuse anymore. There is absolutely no exuse at all, for complete silence on their end. Until they do better, Backbone is a horrible company.

Product developed stick drift after 3 weeks of use… calibration does nothing to help. I’m going to try and get a replacement but not confident that will hold up to justify £100 spend

Great product. Quality feels through and through. My mobile gaming is now a handheld console experience. Fantastic.

NO AFTERCARE SERVICE - STAY CLEAR...
Ordered item which never arrived but states as delivered. Backbone provide zero after care or customer service. Their solution is for me to chase the courier Evri. I did not purchase the item from Evri I purchased it from Backbone! Evri (formerly Hermes) do not provide and support and instruct to contact the shipper to file as claim. Going around in circles. Effectively Backbone take no ownership of such queries. For the money they charge they need to do better. Will now buy Razer Kishinev V2 instead as it’s cheaper at the fraction of the price and readily available as needed for sons 16th birthday. Really disappointed with Backbone. Will have to claim back funds via credit card provider.

Joke of a company…. Took my money months ago, no commutation, no product, impossible to get hold of….. but the best part, I’ve just received an email offering new customers guaranteed delivery before Christmas.
At the point where I contemplate bringing my lawyers in (Hill Dickinson, if you watching Backbone) to take action against this company…. Looks to be insolvent and it’s directors in breach of fiduciary duties.
This place is terrible
This place is terrible. I ordered August 7. It is November 26th and the company hasn’t shipped my product or responded to my email concerns. Customer service is non existent. There is no way to contact these jokers. They were quick to have me fully pay and now I haven’t received a confirmation or anything. All I want is my money back and the ability to move on. I ordered this product elsewhere and have already received the product. Makes no sense.
Very poor
Very poor. Ordered 14 days ago and haven’t even received a proper order acknowledgment. They took the money quick enough and then not had a word. Chased customer service 4 times with no response. Looks like I’ll have to file a claim with my bank for what amounts to a fraudulent transaction. Be better guys if you want to stay in business.
Item never delivered, never refunded, and customer service is awful!
I ordered a controller for my son on December 4th, from early on the shipping info only stated that a label had been created. The item never arrived and after multiple emails with no response, the company sent me an email that said my purchase was refunded in full for an amount of $0. I reached out again to request the full $99 to be refunded and was told it was. Nothing has been credited to my card.
Do NOT order from Backbone - fraud?
Placed my order on November 27 and received a order confirmation email stating that I should receive a shipping confirmation within 3 days. The standard shipping option indicated 4-12 days. I emailed them on December 6 asking what was going on and why I hadn’t received my shipping confirmation.
It was very important that my Backbone One arrive at the latest 12 days after placing the order as a family member is flying to me out of country and was supposed to bring it.
I have sent multiple emails trying to find out when they intend to ship my item and all I have received is vague and likely automatically generated responses.
I asked the shipping date in order to cancel and order from Amazon instead, I have also in two separate emails asked for a refund since they still have not shipped the item or sent an order confirmation after 11 days!
As they are no longer responding to my emails asking for a refund nor emails from Amazon Pay asking for the same I feel compelled to warn others. This behavior appears fraudulent, I hope that is not the case.
I cannot speak for the product itself, but do yourself a favor and order from literally anybody but Backbone themselves.
Good adapter but still doesn’t work with a case.
So the adapter itself works great but with the flattest case I can find which is the Apple branded cases unfortunately I can’t use the Backbone because the case makes it just too thick by maybe a couple centimeters
This is a horrible device
This is a horrible device. Started messing up the first day I got it. I’ve only had it a week & the whole controller doesn’t even work anymore. I wouldn’t recommend this to ANYONE it is a waste of money & very disappointing
From what I tested it feels good
From what I tested it feels good, i am still unable to fully use it as I don’t have the attachment for my iPhone 13 Pro Max so I just have the Backbone sitting in the box waiting for the attachment. It would be nice for first time buyers to have the attachment in the package.
