Terrible casino
Terrible casino. With the new regulation allowing multiple casinos to be regulated in alberta starting July 2026, this site better anti up as they have alot competition coming. Sites that actually pay are allowed soon so this one should be avoided at all costs.

My account is locked and my funds are stuck. I tried to do the verification and it's just been sitting there for 7 working days now and nothing is happening. Just tried to send their support an email and their email isn't working.

And they are demanding that I present documents and run around collecting all these , taking pictures and sending them with some extra conditions. same as all the other complaints. Im now going on 2 weeks to "recertify" my account. Didn t seem to matter when I was depositing 10s of thousands lol . But stepped away and hadnt played a bit then came the notice when I logged in that my account is currently not valid and needs to be authenticated yet once more. This after they had received all documents required . Passport , DL and all bills confirming that Im an alberta resident and several with date of birth and address. Have almost 1000 sitting there for approx 2 weeks with no ability to withdraw. customer support you leave your number as you reach no one but there is no call back at all lol. Yikes !!!

I mean I have been using this app for a number of years and then they decide to put my account on hold for verification purposes the same week the world cup starts. I'm on my 6th day now waiting for verification. I feel as a loyal customer that I deserve to be treated better.

Play Alberta locked me out of my account pending request of verification documents. I sent these in 5 days ago (says it takes 2-4 days to review). Meanwhile I have no access to place wagers or withdrawl funds. I've played with them for over 4 years now and have always sent in documents that they request. Customer service has always been horrible, with long wait times , but I decided to try and call to get answers. After waiting for 35 minutes I was told they are behind because they have requested lots of players documents which they have to review. I said that's not my problem and I should have access while they review. They lady on the other end said she cannot do anything to help me, while I heard a baby cry and screaming on her end, She muted for 15 seconds, then came back on the line. I found out that their customer service outsourced (shame on you play ab.). Only option I got was that I have to wait.
Play Alberta is a Fraud
Play Alberta locked me out of my account yesterday. I contacted the online help desk expecting a quick solution. I was told they could not validate my identity therefore I can never use their services again. I do not have access to any of the lottery tickets I have purchased. I also cannot access the funds in my account and was told I have to mail in a void check to have the money transferred to me. Upon notifying them that I will contact the AGLC and RCMP they promptly ended the chat with no further help.
If anyone else has this issue, please do not let this slide. This is fraud and theft!
Stay Away from PLAY ALBERTA
My account continuously gets frozen for "re-verification". My identity never changes. These re-verifications conveniently happen when I have a bonus due. In case you are not aware, bonuses are forfeited if your account is in review. This website is a pure scam. They try to trick you saying the money stays in Alberta. You may as well go spend it at the mall. Because you sure are not getting anything from Play Alberta. Their customer service agents are completely useless. They get paid to copy and paste answers and when you demand an actual answer, they end the chat or hang up on you. PURE SCAM!

I buy Lotto tickets with this app I had this account for 5 years gave them my id and proof of address then. I have a bout 136 dollars for a balance that I use to buy lotto tickets. I go on to the app 2 days ago and they froze my account. For me to access my account they said they want bank statements and my id or I can’t get into my account. To me it’s very alarming that play Alberta can freeze your account with a balance on it for no reason. Some may call that stealing. The most alarming is that this play Alberta is government ran so there is no way to get my money back they have no accountability I called 3 times and got no where so if u want your money taken for no reason use play Alberta.

Don't use this service. After I deposited $50 to buy a lottery ticket, my account was blocked. When I called customer support, they told me they couldn't unblock my account and wouldn't refund my money.

Stay away people. There games are not fair. Played on here back in 2023 and quit. Decided to give them another try in 2026 and they have gotten worse instead of better. I have recorded some of my games and you can clearly see the game glitching when I start winning. The little think circle starts and than no more winning. I didn't listen to the reviews but don't make my mistake. You have a better chance of winning on a scratch ticket.

I am playing Buffalo Gold and Buffalo Gold Revolution and I repeatedly get kicked out of my game. They actually take the wager away from my real money account and I don't get a spin. They have gotten absolutely terrible, and steal my money. This has been happening for the past few days.

To use Playalberta you're required to upload personal identifiable information like your financial statements or birth certificates - um no thank you. I have no confidence that my information can't be accessed. It states on their site someone will review the information. That is the last thing I want is for some stranger to have access to my information that they can copy or share.

They (the Alberta government) claims to monitor their website. Maybe they do but it only to be sure people don't win a thing. They also state Alberta only but some games say making winners across Canada. RTP IS grossly low, wager limits are painfully high. AND they constantly use luring bonuses etc. to get people to play. Buyer beware, the worst customer service and WD's are like pulling teeth. They send out emails with bonus but most of the time they do not work. Contact customer service and they tell you to make the purchase and they will fix it. Nothing gets fixed and your lottery purchase goes thru. avoid at all costs.
