New Tamiami Trail Planet Fitness

We have been members of the Tamiami Trail location for over a year. As the location off of Constitution came to a close, bathrooms became worse, sinks and toilets wouldn't get fixed, etc.
Then the location closed to open of the new location next to Ace Hardware. The opening was delayed, then the women's bathroom has been closed for just about a week now with no explanation other than, "yea, we know.."
For what we are paying, (including other members) you could call a plumber and get the bathroom fixed.
Get the women's bathroom fixed NOW!

Planet fitness palatka not user friendly

Planet fitness is designed to make sure it's members do not go to the gym, it is the most not user friendly, I was working out when they cut my lock and threw out all of my belongings because they thought I was not in the gym, they have done this 2 times, they love cutting locks to keep the valuable items and discard the rest, I canceled my membership and went to anytime fitness much more user friendly, I would not recommend planet fitness, it is like the rest of our system designed to abuse their members.

Ignorant clientele at this gym

The gym itself is great, it's the clientele that's the problem. For the past several years, every time I go to the gym (almost every day), I encounter the following: people trying to hog 2 or more machines simultaneously by leaving their belongings on a machine to "reserve" it while they hop from machine to machine, sometimes even in a different room. These are the people who will confront you and argue with you if you use a machine they've "reserved" after waiting several minutes to see if they're coming back. Then there's the people who use machines as a park bench to sit and relax, putter on their phones, or chat it up with friends - I don't mean for 1-2 minutes, I mean for 10-20 minutes, regardless of how busy the gym is. Now there's a new trend in this gym - idiots live-streaming, face-timing or recording their workouts, while capturing everyone in the vicinity doing their workouts! They'll prop up their phones near them (some actually whip out a tripod!), strut their stuff, talk & interact with someone on their phone while I'm right next to them on a machine. My husband even saw himself on some woman's screen a few feet away from him that was live-streaming her stretch & got him in the picture!!! What is wrong with people??!!!!! No common sense!!! I have to think there is more that the gym can do to clamp down on this ridiculous behavior.

Removal of high demand workout equipment

I’ve been going to the location in Concord and never had a complaint however, most recently they changed equipment and took away several machines that were in high demand specifically the abdominal rocker and donkey kick machine for you gluetes.

Please bring these machines back .

Thank you !!!

Membership Issues

I went to the Janesville location to sign up for a membership in March and was having trouble linking it to the app. I went in again recently and they could not find my membership with my information. They were able to charge my card for two months of membership plus the annual fee, but I couldn't scan in like everyone else, it was humiliating. I tried to call and nobody can do anything, they just kept tell me that my information isn't working like it was my issue. They gave me a number for billing, but it is an automated system and there was no way to get a person on because my phone number didn't work and I wasn't provided a membership number.

3/4th's of the year it's not a bad…

3/4th's of the year it's not a bad place for what you pay. During the summer they essentially give free memberships to anyone who wants one, many people applaud this as it appears to be a good moral thing to do - which it is, for everyone except the paying members who are treated like morons for paying for something that is given away for free. Gyms have limited space and equipment, charging a membership allows the people to decide if they want to pay to use the gym's space and equipment. If you take money from members who are signing up for a membership under this universal understanding of how a membership to something works and then you go ahead and make it free for anyone to use you should have to return the money you stole from the members who paid to use the space and equipment that is no longer available to them. This is an immoral company who is painted as good guys by the people who take advantage of their abuse of their members, yes i'm sure many people are happy to take advantage and obviously they don't care about the betrayal of the paying customers as it doesn't impact them. To me, you have a moral responsibility to do what is in the best interest of your paying customers, that is a requirement once you take their money. That money is paid for a service, that service is access, when you take that money and then harm those paying customers - giving them no recourse, no discount, no time that is just for them to use it, no advantage what so ever of holding the membership - you are guilty of theft and you have extorted your customers. This really needs to be a class action lawsuit, what is being done here is illegal, it is abuse of the paying memebers who have no say and no choice in losing access to equipment and space in the gym that they pay for. Those of us with jobs don't have time to sit there all day waiting, we pay for a membership so we can workout at a place that non members cannot access, this is the basic agreement of a membership. I cannot wait until this company get sued for this and goes bankrupt paying back membership dues to the people they've stolen from. Every single member deserves a refund for the summer months, this should be obvious but again b/c there are so many who take advantage they have a ton of support. Hope the courts get to weigh in on this, again it's completely immoral business practice, it's wrong in every way.

Restore My Original Black Card Plus Membership

I am extremely frustrated.

I have been a Black Card Plus member since December 7, 2025. Recently, a third party went to the club and somehow my membership was canceled, even though I never requested or authorized this cancellation. This should never have been allowed to happen without my consent.

The situation became even more frustrating when I tried to have my membership reinstated. I was informed that my original membership cannot be restored and that I would need to sign up for a new membership instead.

This is unacceptable. I do not want a new membership. I want my original Black Card Plus membership reinstated. I already paid the annual fee associated with my membership, and I should not be required to pay it again because of a cancellation that I did not authorize.

In addition, I would like to transfer my home club from Watertown to Waltham. My previous home club was located at 191 Watertown St, Watertown, MA, and I would like my home club to be changed to 108 Clematis Ave, Waltham, MA 02453 once my membership is restored.

I am asking Planet Fitness to:
• Reinstate my original Black Card Plus membership.
• Honor the annual fee I have already paid.
• Ensure I am not charged any new enrollment or annual fees.
• Transfer my home club to the Waltham location.

Do not ever sign up here - fraudulent, predatory, terrible experience

Do not ever sign up here. This company is fraudulent and predatory. I wish I could give zero stars. My husband and I signed up for memberships at the Founders Parkway location in Castle Rock, CO and decided to cancel later that exact SAME DAY due to our discomfort with some of the policies. The front desk staff sent us cancellation paperwork for both of our memberships (which I have proof of) and guaranteed we would not be charged any further. Our BANK ACCOUNT was then fraudulently charged 2 days later for one of the memberships and a few days after that our credit card was charged for BOTH memberships. For services we cancelled and never once used. Immediate red flag #1 should've been that they require you to provide a routing and accounting number for your bank account, on top of a credit card.

We immediately reached out to the facility to request refunds and have been fighting tooth and nail to get our money back ever since. It has now been over a dozen phone calls and 3 in-person visits and while the $15 charged to our checking account was reversed, no money has been returned to our credit card. In these 3 weeks, the club has already changed over management, so the manager we've talked to nearly a dozen times ("Caroline") who repeatedly fed us lip service about how we "just needed to wait for the money" because it would "take 7-10 day business days" (mind you, it has been over 3 weeks now), is no longer managing there. We then had to re-explain the entire situation to the new manager who told us our money was refunded and it, in fact, has not been, so this is a lie. Every time we call, we're fed the line of "we'll look into it and get back to you tomorrow" which has been a false promise many times over.

This week when we called again two more times, we were then told to call over to a different club off of Arapahoe Road to try to get in touch with the new manager because she is between clubs. That club had no idea who she even was and the manager there told us that they don't even have the power to get us our money back and we would need to dispute with our bank, so we wasted 3 weeks being polite and patient for absolutely no reason. So they are authorized to steal our money from us, but not to give it back??

The amount of runaround, lip service, misinformation, and general lack of care that this staff has shown us is beyond disappointing. Do not ever sign up here. They will put your bank account info in their system, steal your money, and give you endless runaround until there's nothing you can do but dispute the charges and fight for yourself through your bank. I now have to find the time to visit our bank, dispute the charge, and change all of our banking info for a $40.40 charge that should have been easily and immediately returned to us. As a busy and pregnant mom, I do not have the time and energy for this but now have to invent the time so we prevent further fraud.

This business is unbelievably shady and scummy. I don't understand how any company can operate like this in good conscience in this day and age. I will be reporting this facility to the BBB and FTC and sharing this experience on every review platform to warn others.

Clean and friendly gym .

Planet Fitness is actually an awesome chain of gyms. Membership is extremely affordable and convenient to sign up. They honored my Medicare Advantage plan for a paid membership. Gyms are always clean and well maintained. Friendly staff that seems knowledgeable about working out. Always seems like their continually growing in locations in the area which makes getting to the gym handy . Lots of cardio options and resistance training available. The free weights seem more like an afterthought with less emphasis as an option to train on . All in all I'm very satisfied with my membership and would highly recommend this chain.

Harassment encouraged

The local, regional and corporate managements allow bullying by management for both team members and clients. Repeated requests to look into PAGES of documented harassment lead to complete indifference and continued problems. Talk is cheap. Show respect to your members by making sure your "zone" is ACTUALLY "JUDGEMENT-free". DISGUSTING WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS

I have two issues with the Planet…

I have two issues with the Planet Fitness on Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

1. None of the managers at this location enforce their no cell phone use without headphone policy. People openly walk around talking on their phone while working out. Some even use their speaker phone. Others use their music on speaker. When I challenged the manager they brushed it off. This happens every day I'm at the gym, 5 days a week, and multiple times during the 60 minutes I'm there.

2. In the last week the newest manager has locked up all the cable machine attachment handles. When I challenged the manager he said that people were stealing the equipment, which I know to be false because I use the equipment everyday and it's the same worn attachments. They also have cameras, and if it were really a problem they could easily identify the individuals. Instead they want us to walk down 2 flights of stairs every time we want a new attachment, and then we have to give them our license or keys. On some days I may use 4 or 5 different attachments. This makes no sense. None of the other P.F. locations have this policy, and I have used locations all up and down the east coast.

No results after talking to staff

Love working out here, only bad thing is there’s no scale to weigh myself. I told staff a few times over the course of a few months and all said they would tell the manager, Then nothing happens:( just frustrating when trying to lose weight.
Besides that everything is pretty great.

They take advantage of teenagers

They take advantage of teenagers, signing them up without proof of age, or parent permission. They think they are paying $25 a month, but planet fitness takes the annual fee out of their bank account a month after signing up, which I am sure people aren't aware of.
I would give them 0 stars if I could.

It's very sad that while the country…

It's very sad that while the country celebrates 250 years of existence, blatant racial discrimination is still alive and rampant in our society. As a black veteran having served this country for 21 years in the military I should not be penalized because I don't succumb to the advances of a white woman especially staff members at the gym. Cameras and text prove my claims without question. However, Carlos the gym manager chose to make decisions about my membership without even talking to me. Black, white, hispanic or any other race should not have to feel the tension of being accosted by staff members upon entry into the club. This is the cleanest gym I know of but the racial inequalities iare not only felt by me but voiced by other black veterans who won't come forth and tell their stories of racially discriminatory tactics. Finally, this seems to be a systemic problem because the hierarchy (Chelsey) will not address the situation telephonically.
