First, let us see what PLACETOCHAT is all about. We notice, here on Trustpilot, that it is listed as one of the top-ranked companies in the Dating Service category.

Being listed among top dating sites must mean something impressive, right? RIGHT?

Before we begin, please remember that my reviews are:

1. Based on real-life experiences with the site(s)
2. 100% truthful
3. Unbiased and FAIR!

Furthermore, I:
4. Will NEVER try to advertise or sell anything
5. Will ONLY talk about the site and its sister-sites
6. Show you HOW you can reproduce the EVIDENCE to convince YOURSELF!
7. NEVER defame anyone, nor target anyone directly!

Now that THAT is out of the way, let us see what this dating service is actually about, SHALL WE?

1. When I made my account, I went DIRECTLY to the SEARCH button, which is in the middle right on a PC. I selected "All", country GREECE (in filters on the far right), ALL ages (18 to 90), and clicked "Show People". Indeed; all the known faces are there; the exact same profiles seen across all other sister-sites.

2. Since PLACETOCHAT gives you the classic introductory credit gift to start with (just like all sister-sites), I decided to see if any of these Greek ladies would be interested in going out. After all, they should already recognise my profile from other sister-sites, especially when using the exact same username and registering from the same country, right? RIGHT??? So I sent them messages in various foreign languages, knowing that these ladies:

A. Have ALL mastered 180-200 languages each, meaning that they do NOT even need a translation tool, which these sites lack anyway...
B. Either never sleep, OR sleep with their phones in their hands, READY TO REPLY WITHIN SECONDS when ANYONE sends them a message! WoW!
C. Have also mastered the fine art of CHRONOMANCY, so they can EASILY travel back and forth in time, and even see the photo that I MIGHT or MIGHT NOT add to my profile in the future...
D. Have taken a SACRED VOW to NEVER GO OUT with ANYONE from the site, because they are ALL BFFFs (Best Female Friends Forever)!

(Since the famous time-travelling car is obsolete by now, they only use it to train the next generation, sending them on short trips to get groceries at cheap prices from the past! At least the car enjoys the company!)

3. Luckily for me, they ALL responded, and one of them was sending overly flirty messages! But unfortunately, even though ALL of them were "dying to get to know me", NONE of them would give out any way of contacting them outside of the site... after all, this *IS* "PLACETOCHAT", right??? So dating was not even an option, especially with that SACRED SISTERHOOD VOW they took!

At this point, you might ask me:
Q: So basically they just wanted you...
A: ...to talk to them exclusively on the site so that you keep spending credits. You got it!

4. I asked a good friend to make a nice female account. Who knows? If another woman showed interest in me, MAYBE they will get jealous and break their vow? So she made one, searched for me, and I for her, but for some "weird reason", we couldn't find each other...

I guess the sisterhood also places a permanent "cloak of invisibility" on all real users, and thus "outsiders" can NEVER see each other. They do that to ensure that:

"You are theirs.
Forever.
And ONLY online.
On a dating site.
Which is also top-ranked in the world."

I am sure that you guys have built an amazing physique with all those pseudo-situps, AND you have more than enough saltwater from your laughing tears to mop your floors!

The sad part is that, behind these jokes, what I described is 100% true and reproducible.

P.S. I will continue the good fight to inform the people of my honest findings.

The site dipslayed prices in a currency I don't recognize before defautling back to the right one after checkout. Torn on whether to keep going or just move on.

Brilliant site I loved it

ive used a few dating sites before and figured id try htis one too. the cost to read a single reply is honestly insulting. on top of that, had to take three separate photos just to satisfy their verification system, plus the site on my phone is unusable, constant freezing and reloading. and then got flagged within an hour of joining and never got a real reason why

Pleasant interaction, very responsive, did what I asked with out any pushback.

Between work and everything else ive had a few weeks to test this out. The price jumps the second you want to do anything beyond browsing. And then the delay in payment confirmation left me unsure if the charge even worked. whats worse, the whole subscription thing is unclear and full of hidden costs.

after sticking with it for a while, support gave me instructions that didn't even apply to my account. then felt genuinely uncomfortable getting flagged when that's obviously not an issue!

Autoplay video previews on profiles absolutely wreck my battery... A little behind what I was expecting for the price. Feels like a downgrade from what I was using before. Joined a good three weeks ago on a whim.

Leya was a complete and total lifesaver! Dug right in and solved the issue at hand and for sure kept me happy.

Scrolling through someone's photos on the mobile site is way too sensitive, jumps two or three images at once. Give or take a month since I joined.

This is a very safe environment where you can be yourself. I am enjoying chatting with people.

I don’t feel it holds real people behind to send messages. I feel not very meaningful women are sending messages where the cost of messages are so high. Another very important thing is that when I purchased some credits using bank card after few days there was a fraudulent transaction charged to my bank card, thank god my bank asked for approval and I denied so I got saved. It’s a fraud platform. Stay away of it.

Everything about this site is fake! Do not waste your time. And very expensive. No support either.

Looking back there were little issues almost immediately, I just didn't take them seriously enough... The onboarding process asked for an unusual amount of personal detail before I'd even seen a single profile. A match early on tried steering the conversation off the platform almost immediately, which felt off given we'd barely spoken. I reported the message, figuring that's what the report button is there for, and heard absolutely nothing back. Against my better judgment I stuck with it a while longer just to see if things improved. The technical side didn't help either, notifications lagging and the search filters resetting constantly. By the third week I was spending more time messing with settings than actually talking to anyone. Credit where it's due, not everything about it was bad, just enough friction to sour the overall impression. Still, the amount of patience this required isn't something I expected to need for a platform charging real money. I'm writing this mostly so someone else going through the same thing doesn't feel like it's just them. This is coming from someone who genuinely wanted it to work out, not someone looking for reasons to complain. I've mostly stopped opening it, which tells u where I landed on the whole thing.
