Pulled having seen the sign for food served all day. 10:50am asked for tea and two bacon sandwiches and we were told the chef goes home at 11 until lunch service starts! I pointed out the sign at the front of the hotel and she said just explaining he’s going home! We settled on the tea as there were no tea cakes or anything else available. I walked down the steps to sit in the area with a lovely view and the lady said “oh, are you going down to the restaurant” I replied well I’d like to sit there to see the view please and continued to walk. She really made us feel unwelcome and too much trouble.

Pulled in for food. Ordered the £16.00 veg chow mein. Veg not too bad but plastered in ridiculously salty sauce. Noodles completely inedible. Couldn't separate them nor bite through them. Totally under cooked or boiled. Obviously could not be bothered to stir them or heat them through. Done with eating out. Diabolical food for huge price. Do not recommend the food. Have a glass of wine and take in the view. Shocking.

My wife and I enjoyed 2 nights at The Pilgrim Hotel. The staff were friendly, the rooms were comfortable and the food was excellent. Lots of local places to visit, and the hotel has leaflets covering many interests. We took in Ross-on-Wye on our way there, Hereford (Black and White Museum; Cathedral) and finally Ledbury on our way home.
Highly Recommended.

Just had a takeaway (lockdown) afternoon tea. It was a treat for my birthday. Sandwiches, scones, jam and clotted, and two pieces of cake and a flapjack. Excellent quality, good service.

Stayed earlier this year on a booking via a gift site. We found absolutely no fault with the hotel - the staff, the food , the service, the rooms in fact it was perfect. Thank you all for everything. We will be back!
