Piggyback Rider Reviews 

We ordered Piggyback Rider and back support, and it is petty much the same as on picture. We haven't try it on for trip yet, and there may be some issues which i ready for, as our daughter will be almost 7, so i may be not so comfortable for her as for others 4-5 yo kids. But i understand my risk and don't complain about. But what was really disappointing (why it is only 3 stars) that i payed same amount for shipping as we payed for Pyggyback rider! First of all there weren't shipping method options, olly UPS which is a grub, ussually i avoid using this company and not buying if there is UPS only option. So we payed $39 for shipping, then when it arrived it was additional brokerage fee $25. That is ridiculous, if you really care about customer service you should reconsider shipping as it was ruined my pyggiback experience. I really hope that our pyggiback rider will work well for us in our Italy trip, but i was very disappointing with shipping method and price we did pay.

We love it! It was a game changer, we had trouble taking our son into crowded places until we got this. We have been using it for almost 2 years and I would recommend it to everyone. My son is about 35 lbs. Now, And after getting it adjusted properly I find it much more comfortable than shoulders or carrying

The product itself is great. When my husband and I go hiking with our almost 3 year old everyone stops and wants to know where to get one. Be mindful that your toddler may get lazy and start to want to be carried. But such a great product. Even great to take you child through the grocery store if they’re known to get fussy and want to get out of the cart. So happy we got this. We’ll be able to use it for years

We haven’t taken it on the trail yet- but this seems great. It gives us an option to piggy back our 5 year old when he gets to the stage of “I’m tired, can we go home now”. I expect this will save our walking trails from extra grumbles:) thanks piggy back. Simple but effective!

We are trail lovers - rain🌈, shine🌤☀️ or snow ❄️ - our 4 year old son jumps on the Piggyback Rider when he gets tired - wants the best view or has to help us out to find the trail signs 😉

They really pay attention to their website traffic and noticed I was mulling over my decision and sent me an offer to seal the deal. The piggyback rider I ordered was shipped to us so fast that I got it before the money was taken out of our account.

A brilliant piece of kit. My son couldn't wait to get on it and was comfortable as was I immediately. It attracts a lot of attention and adds to fun factor. I got the full package with all add ons for free but the cost of P+P was expensive. I would still recommend to family and friends to purchase.

I really like the idea of this, but there are a few things I'd like to change. First, I wish the kids harness had a chest buckle. I plan to use this in the winter while snowshoeing, and it seems like while my kid is wearing a puffy coat and mittens that it won't be very secure, like he could slip out! Second, I got the side pocket accessory, and I really wish it was more secure, or that it at least had a zipper. It just flops around as I walk, and I worry that whatever is in it will fall out. I probably won't end up using it, and will end up wearing a fanny pack or something to carry my phone and keys. I just wish there was an easily accessible pocket somewhere in the front for those kinds of things. Other than that, I really like this product. It's super easy to use, and my kid loves being able to stand up and see everything!

Helpful staff returned my message. I had some trouble finding the accessory I was looking for, and the product search could be improved, but the transaction was good.

We bought this for our trip to Italy over the summer. It made traveling with our 3 year old so much easier. She figured out how to get on and off pretty quickly and really enjoyed riding on dad's back. I think the belt support is a must, in fact I can't imagine not having that support there. I would definitely recommend this for anyone traveling with a child that would be able to stand up on the support bar for extended periods. Also, I can't tell you how many people just loved the idea while I was walking around. I thought it was a great product and well made too.

Amazing product- we used it for our 5 year old/ 45lb child at DISNEY! If you stay at Disney for 5 Days+ the cost of the Piggy Back Rider is equivalent to daily stroller rental fees- and you can use it again and again!
Worked wonders trying to get through the crowds- with a stroller it wouldve been such a tedious task not having people trip over your child and maneuvre around groups of people. With the Piggy back rider, she got to see far in advance, often enjoying spotting things before we did. We did a run through at home and got all the straps adjusted the way my husband and daughter felt comfortable.
There are three reasons I had to take a star off for the review:
1. Although we purchased the extra waist belt to help sturdy the foot bar and take some weight off my husbands shoulders, at times he did feel it a bit uncomfortable and cut into his shoulders. So even though it says its for up to 50-60lbs. Id say 45 definitely the limit for a normal adults comfort.
2. The footbar for my daughter to stand on was fairly narrow (fit the arch of her foot) and she at times mentioned it hurt her feet. Having it a bit wider wouldve made it more comfortable for her.
3. We purchased hiking back packs (ie. larger) to carry items needed daily at the Parks, and although it was a bit arduous taking the P.B. Rider in and out to get through security inspection, the bar was still too long to fit into the back pack and zip it shut. So whoever had the piggy back rider in the back pack (where we kept it until it was needed) had to have essentially an open bag the entire time.
Could consider to add a hinge to the bar and make it foldable with some sort of locking mechanism, a protective sliding sleeve perhaps?

It is an amazing product- and even though there were some minimal comfort issues it was so helpful is such a crowded place as Disney. Had many people stop and ask us what it was and how it worked!

Great product. We used it a few times and son likes it. Recommend the standing bar be a little wider for the kids to stand on.

Great way to hike or walk around longer distances with a little one. Our 3 year old was eager to ride and get a better view as we hiked trails in Oregon and it gave us a lot of security that she was safe and not complaining about all the walking.

The product is like the description.

I have enjoyed every minute with my sons on the Piggyback Rider. They don't always want to ride, and it's small enough to be a convenience even when unused. Strollers are so demoralizing when the kids are out of it. My boys love the engagement and personal time with me while seeing the world from a different perspective

We love our Piggyback Rider! It goes with us on hikes or around the city. My toddler loves riding on it and gets a birds I view. She can hop off and on easily when we are roaming around.

EDIT: Shortly after posting this negative review (less than 3 hours), I was contacted by Piggyback Rider via email. They apologized for the issues and refunded me the shipping costs. They also asked me to edit the review (refund was NOT contingent on edits). I let them know their offer would have been much more appreciated if it didn't take a negative review to cause them to refund the shipping. They stated they had recently upgraded their customer service, hence the late offer.

The Piggyback Rider was a nice idea, but pretty much failed on execution, and shipping was WAY overpriced. We got one of their package specials, which included pretty much all of the accessories. But shipping was more than 10% the total price, close to $20, and it wasn't even expedited. That much shipping cost, I should not have to wait weeks for it to arrive.

Once we got the package, I realized most of the accessories were useless. Almost all the attachments hang off the adjustment straps so they bang against your hips or thighs as you walk.

The selfie stick holder: pointless.
The water bottle holder only works with disposable bottled water bottles, not a Nalgene or metal water bottle: pointless.

The carrying bag for the Rider itself was a cheap nylon drawstring backpack, uncomfortable to wear, and it started fraying and coming apart during shipping. Didn't even make it to delivery before revealing the poor quality.

The Rider itself proved to be very uncomfortable. We wore it for one day at the zoo, and after a few tries, my 4 year old daughter did not want to use it anymore, and asked for shoulder-back rides. She said the bar was too small for her feet, and the straps hurt. I was happy to switch to shoulder-back rides, because 30 minutes with the Piggyback Rider had my upper back screaming in pain, no matter how I adjusted it. About the only thing good about it was my daughter liked the bright color and the novelty. Not worth the pain though.

We quickly decided to send the item back. And of course, had to pay our own shipping to return it. I ended up paying almost $50 out of pocket for an painful, uncomfortable product and a bunch of useless, low quality accessories that we sent back anyway. Ultimately, I wish we had ignored the hype and never bought the thing in the first place. Shoulder-back rides are free and less painful!

So easy to use and my kiddo loved it. I loved that it was so easy to switch between adults so that if one person was tired we could swap quickly.

This has worked great for our 2.5-3yo. Have used it for short hikes and short sight seeing outings on vacation. Looking forward to trying on a longer hike to see how it holds up. Our toddler gets tired of holding her feet in one position for extended period but I think she’ll learn how to wiggle while in it without worry of falling. The hip belt is strong and great for short trips but not sure how well will hold up for extensive hikes. Love the product. Super easy to pack on vacation. Easy on and off, our daughter easily helps with clicking in. I’m happy with the product.
