I wish the whole of EU that uses VAT to change their system to PieVAT
I seriously love the Pie Vat app. It makes all my tax rebate fuss free! Previously I had to fill in NUMEROUS of forms and had to find customs before I departed the country. But with Pie Vat, the details are already stored in the app (so no more looking for pens) and it's so much easier to get it approved! Just need to take a picture of the products when I arrive back home and my rebates are instantly banked into my home country bank account.
The custom officer was so nasty to stamp the receipt from Copenhagen airport, just because I had a 12 hour layover in Amsterdam he refused to stamp it. So I had to bring it into my hand-carry to Amsterdam and the custom officer was more than helpful with stamping the receipt.
I do wish all future PieVat tax rebate approvals doesn't require the custom stamp so that I don't need to go to customs in the airport again.

Ideas to ease Tax-free Claim Process
The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The only hassle I had to go through is to get the stamp from the custom officer. Foreigner like me who was first time at Copenhagen Airport might have a hard time locating the custom office. If possible, site the custom office at a prominent location nearer to the airlines check-in counters.

Tax Refund - Easy App and quick respond
First time, that I used PIE VAT. It was easy to complete the questionnaire in the App. After submission I received an approval at the same day and the money was on my account 2 days later. So, Ivan indeed recommend the company and can encourage everyone to try it as well.

The customer service was so helpful! Maggie is awesome! She's super kind and nice, answering the questions quickly and dealing with the problem in a really high efficient way. I was truely impressed by PIE VAT. This is the first time I use and I will definitely use it when I have trip in Denmark in the future.

Easy as PIE
PIE is the only VAT refund company that allows you to get your refund without waiting in line at the airport. The process was simple and regular reminders are sent via text to make sure you follow through correctly.
