The best physiotherapy clinic in…

The best physiotherapy clinic in Berlin. The therapists are highly professional and competent, and the facilities are excellent. After my operation last year, they helped me recover 100%. I can highly recommend this practice.

Bizarre and Unprofessional

I emailed the clinic asking a very straightforward question:

“Could you provide a detailed list of all the deliverables that will be included in the report following the gait analysis session? Understanding the specific components and insights covered would be greatly appreciated.”

Their response?

“We do not offer this kind of service 😊”

That alone was confusing—it’s not a service request, it’s a basic question about what’s included in the gait analysis. So I called to get clarification.

The call was even more bizarre. I asked whether the analysis looks at things like muscular imbalances, uses any digital tools like pressure sensors, or if it’s purely analog. The woman on the phone said, “It’s not possible to provide this.” When I asked if she was front desk, she confirmed: “Exactly, and I’m no therapist, so I cannot give you any information about that.”

I asked if a therapist could clarify things later, and she said: “No, because they are fully booked… They don’t do the extra work if you are not here in front of them.” Again, this is a basic question for a service that is being sold.

When I asked if this might be a language issue and if someone else could help, she replied, “Okay, then I don’t understand.”

This was not a professional or helpful experience. If you’re considering gait analysis and expect basic transparency or courtesy before booking, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

Avoid for any running related issues

“We don’t treat the symptom, we treat the cause.” is the motto of this Praxis and I believed it. But the experience was totally the opposite. Here is what it happened.
Physiotherapist : Atemg Nanjapa (Sunny)
Session 1 : The PT checked if there is any structural damage and found nothing but hamstring being tight. Decided to run on treadmill in the next session.
Session 2 : Ran on the treadmill and he bluntly said that my feet landing is bad (from eye approximation) and suggested to land on complete foot. No solution for knee pains.
Session 3 : I followed what I said and got severe hip pains, my achilles and calves were sore. In the session he put on tapes on my achilies and told to run after 3-4 days (which I did).
Session 4 : I had to argue with him saying that what he is suggesting is not right as he is clueless and did not find out what went wrong that is increasing my knee pains. He fixed my hip alignment and gave a couple of exercises.
(So, he was fixing symptoms, having no clue what could be wrong)
Session 5 : Already 2 weeks over and my achilies tenderness did not go away. He suggested to put on ice, even though I repeatedly said that I am not for quick fix and my expectation was that he should have known when to sue RICE.

It seemed to me that he has absolutely no clue of running mechanics. Otherwise, he could have found in session 3 that all is caused by tight hip flexor (as I got hamstrings tight all the time and then butt and back pains). He gave some stretching for calves and quads (!!!!). No exercise for core or anything.

I am horrified by so little knowledge of this PT who could not connect the symptoms together and infer something. Each time he was mentioning about phase 1, 2 and 3 of the treatment thinking that there is no end of our appointments. The impression that I had is that he treated the patients as if they are Guinea pigs. Having no structure and documentation of the treatments, he was basically listening to the patient's complaint for that day and providing some patchwork sort of solutions.
I had genuinely disgusting experience. Refrain from this Physio (named as Sunny in other reviews in google), if you have got some running related issues because you may not be helped and in the end it would be the waste of your time and money. After all, you do not need to show your PT with no equipment how you run on a treadmill. For that, you can get a professional running analysis or some expert who achieved a lot in the field of running and knows stuffs. Sadly, his double degree in the Physiotherapy was not sufficient to help me, as he could barely show his expertise though his treatment. Additionally, I sensed lack of professionalism and calmness from his side during the treatment where he can improve for the future.

PS: This is posted through my gmail account to post the review. And my experience is real which the clinic has found out later as they blocked me for further treatment (ongoing) in a different branch. To the best of my knowledge, I shared my unbiased review with the hope that I had not caused any problem. It's up to you to decide if you wanna knock at the door of some clinic who are only interested in creating their positive image instead of helping the patient.
