Mike is a born teacher! I took his webinar and the way he teaches is comprehensive an thorough, and he makes everything simple and easy! After I took the webinar I was sure I got it - didn't had to go back in insecurity "have I got it right?" He has great gift for photography and for teaching, and that combined with great personality is a best thing that anybody can offer to us - his students!!! I will take more webinars and for sure I'll get myself a beginners course as I see that this guy is truly THE BEST!!!

Best decision I’ve ever made. Spent years with an old school film camera then finally went digital and my photography died! My love/hate relationship with my dslr because my photos weren’t what I seeing or what I wanted to achieve because until now, no one has ever been able to explained that the camera can get it wrong. Mike is a brilliantly skilled teacher and photographer. I loved his personality and sense of humor. His teaching technique is perfect for how I learn. The live examples of how shots go wrong and how to correct them were invaluable! Watching his camera do exactly what mine does and finally understanding why and how to deal with it is priceless! He doesn’t just say things once and expect you to remember, he repeatedly explains valuable information so it becomes a part of your vocabulary. Mike is the only person I want teaching me about photography! This course is worth hundreds. He covers EVERYTHING!

I have been a photographer for many years but wanted to do a deep-dive on certain aspects and this is certainly the best photography course I have ever taken. Mike has a way of explaining and demonstrating the concepts that make it very easy to understand.

I had a wonderful day at the beginner’s workshop with a nice group of people. The location is ideal and inspires you to think outside the box when taking your pictures.
Mike is an engaging tutor with an easy way about him. His instructions are clear and the tasks he sets you interesting. There was a mix of experience within my group and Mike was able to include each of us at a suitable level. As an almost total novice I came away from the day with better understanding of my camera, the importance of composition and use of light. It has given me fresh confidence to get out and practice the art of photography by looking at subjects with a photographers mindset and methods to play with to achieve the image I want.
Thank you Mike and remember to keep it shiny side up. One down and five up!!!

As Mike says, cameras don’t take pictures, you do. Having used a camera on and off for decades, Mike provides the insights, tips and pointers to enable you to take better pictures. He has an engaging, open & friendly style, encouraging you to learn and improve by applying his rules of exposure & composition. I came away with images I wouldn’t have previously been able to capture, so I’m well pleased. Highly recommended.

This has been a very beneficial class. It has helped me move through the dark haze of digital harass of complication to oh boy, this isn't as hard as the manuals make it out to be. I really appreciated the introduction parts of each lesson by Mike, followed then by and in the field how to. I cannot express how important that part of the lessons are. My only regret is not finding Mike's classes much sooner.

I learnt so much from Mike,s photography master class & enjoyed it thoroughly with his down to earth genuine warm & friendly character & teaching skills , has great easy relatable explanations to make what could be complicated simple. Also has voice thats very easy to listen to , even my flatmate commented how she loved the sound of his voice. I am now inspired to put into practice what I've learnt & interested in learning more from mike .

Clear and entertaining information. i learnt a lot from the course

While I've been taking photographs for quite a few years, I always felt there was something lacking in my knowledge and creativity. I decided to take Mike's Masterclass in Photography online course and I am so happy I did. Mike explains things in a way that makes even the most complicated things seem straightforward. The lessons are broken up into short sections, leaving lots of time to practice what you learn. With more practice, and going back over the lessons when needed, I feel my photography has improved already and I'm starting to think like a photographer. Thank you Mike and for anyone thinking of doing the Masterclass in Photography course, go for it, you won't be disappointed!

After watching Mike's Youtube videos over the past few months I found them most informative and enjoyable, I decided to sign up to his Photography Masterclass, The course was brilliantly laid out with videos for each individual subject along with practical exercises to do ,and backup notes so you can work at your own pace .Many thanks to Mike and his staff

Great course having watched many of Mike's excellent videos on You Tube decided to sign up for a course.
Information is delivered in a relaxed way that is easy to understand.

Logically arranged, easy to navigate course. I have done similar programmes in person but really valued being able to pause, practice and resume. I have remained on manual since doing this!

To be honest, don't even know where to start. This has been absolutely one of the best courses I have even taken. Mike way of teaching is outstanding and makes it very easy to understand what he is teaching. I was so lost before taking his Master Class and now my understanding of photography is so much better. Just after week one I was taking better pictures. I recommend his course 100%.

If you only learn one thing from Mike's Masterclass it was money well spent. An excellent course explaining everything you need to know to improve your photography.

I have messed about with cameras for years and on the odd occasion have managed to capture what I would describe as a good/reasonable image. However, the thing about my results were they were not consistent in terms of good and or correct exposure so I wanted to put this right and started reviewing the plethora of information on both YouTube and the internet for advice/lessons only succeeding in frustrating myself.

I considered undertaking an online course so again began to review what was available at what I thought was good content at a sensible cost. I wanted someone to tell and show me how to take correctly exposed photographs, advise me about composition and very broadly what kit would be best for me as at that time I only had a fix lens camera I was not getting the best from.

Then after some searching I found Mike Browne’s Photography courses and began to go through his presentations on YouTube. Mike has a very engaging way about him, he talks to you not at you and what a relief I found as he cut through the technical jargon or certainly kept it to a minimum as I am a total technophobe!

The other thing I liked about Mike’s videos were they were not long, they were concise and to the point.

Then I invested in his beginners course (still didn’t own a DSLR camera) but it taught me enough of the basics to create consistently well exposed photographs with my fixed lens camera. On the strength of that course I purchased a second hand DSLR and lens.

Wanting to take it further, I signed up for Mike’s beginners workshop on the south coast where I met like minded beginners who like me wanted to take better pictures.

The day began with a chat about our expectations, what type of photography interested us and listening to my fellow participants gave me some alternative and good ideas…..it’s good to talk!

Then we did a few exercises under Mike’s guidance and I learned a lot more about that essential in photography and that is light and how a lens aperture can be used to control it.

Then we set about doing our own thing followed by more instruction and again doing your own thing. For me this was spending some time experimenting with aperture and light, I discovered I could take pictures of a sunny and cloudy day and with aperture control turn it into a threatening, stormy looking sky.

My takeaways from this day long course was just go out and take pictures, you will make mistakes but keep at it and you will succeed. Infact, last weekend I was in Wells, Somerset taking pictures around the busy market area. When I loaded the pictures on the PC I was well and truly rewarded so thanks Mike and for anyone considering the workshop go do it!

Excellent class that was well presented. I have been taking photos for many years and I originally decided to take this far review. I can honestly say I learned a lot from Mikes presentation that reinforced and explained many things I had not thought about! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a great foundation for their photography journey!

Had a great day at the beginners workshop and became more confident with my camera. I think I was probably the least experienced in the group with a DSLR but it has given me the start I needed. The group was small and very friendly and Mike was easy to speak to. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering signing up.

I have been taking (average to poor) photos for longer than I care to remember and decided to do something about it. I signed up for Mikes Mudiford Quay beginners workshop. It was a good decision. Met up with a group of lovely people at the Quay. Mike was friendly and very informative. The was instantly the kind of person you feel like you have known for years. There was no tutor/student barrier. Due to the small and manageable number of students, Mike was always at hand to answer questions. I learned a lot, some of which, I didn’t know I didn’t know. A thoroughly enjoyable and interesting day. Also, highly recommended.
