Delivery awful and not next day
I ordered something that I needed urgently on Wednesday before the cut off for next day delivery and it said I would receive Thursday. On Thursday I called to check as I hadn't had a courier text and was told they hadn't sent it as I missed the cut off, which wasn't true (they later accepted). They then told me they would send it to arrive with me by 12 noon on Friday.
I spoke to one of the team when it hadn't arrived by 12 and was told that it was out with FedEx for delivery today, but he didn't know when it would be delivered and said I need to be here to sign for it or it would not be left. He also said he had no idea why his colleague told me it would be here by 12 noon (which he overheard his colleague tell me) as they only have one service and it is anytime next day.
I am now stuck having to stay at home for a second day (having stayed at home yesterday and this morning waiting) but also have to do school run etc so won't be here for a few hours this pm (through no fault of mine). I told phoenix and they said to stick a sign on my door and hope the courier leaves the package.
I explained that I urgently need them as I have paid for a removal truck tomorrow and need to get everything packaged up by 8am or I won't be able to move the furniture and the cost will be lost but there seemed nothing they were willing to do to ensure this could happen.
DO NOT TRUST THE NEXT DAY CUT OFF COUNTDOWN OR THEM SAYING THEY WILL ARRANGE PRIORITY DELIVERY.
I find this highly unprofessional and am frustrated that I paid a premium to use a company that sells itself as a professional supplier of professional goods. I also deliberately chose them on Wednesday and ensured I ordered before the cutoff to ensure I didn't have this stress and to ensure they were here yesterday, as advertised.
