you acted quickly in paying the bill from my vet directly but the repayment of the part of the bill that I paid has not yet arrived despite a phone call last thursday which was a follow up of a phone I made the Thursday before.

Once you have any claim they fleece you
Once you have any claim, they will ramp up the price every year, talking to them is useless as they offer no discounts once you have had one claim. They just offer silly reasons while ramping up the cost.
In response to the reply, complaint promptly rejected with suspiciously AI sounding message.

As you have made a claim on the policy, this can contribute to a premium increase at renewal. Premiums can increase at renewal for a few reasons. As pets get older, the risk of illness or injury tends to rise, which can affect the cost of cover. If you've made a claim, that can also impact your premium. Additionally, vet fees and treatment costs are rising across the industry, and these increases affect all policyholders — not just individual cases. Our prices are also regularly reviewed to remain competitive, but factors such as government tax changes, increased treatment and medication costs, and overall veterinary inflation have made it necessary to adjust our pricing to stay sustainable.
I can see that a complaint has been raised. You will receive a complaint acknowledgment by email within 5 working days of raising your complaint, and we then have up to 8 weeks to investigate and respond.
Thank you for your continued trust in us. We're happy that you've chosen to remain with us and that Deefer Dog's cover is still in place should it ever be needed.

I am sorry if you have had a claim recently declined, and if you feel our coverage did not meet your expectations. Our policy wording outlines the details of the cover that we provide. This includes any terms and conditions, and policy limits for each section of cover.
Pre-existing medical is only covered on a policy when it has been declared, and accepted on your confirmation of cover. If we have not been made of any previous medical then there would be no cover for anything directly or indirectly related.

I’ve had a great experience with this pet insurer. Some time ago I made my first claim for one of my dogs, and the whole process was incredibly quick, straightforward, and hassle-free. The claim was handled efficiently, and everything was settled much faster than I expected. It’s reassuring to know my pet is covered by a company that makes things so easy when you need them most. I would definitely recommend them.
