The personal alarm from age uk was the best choice that i have ever made,it is so very easy to use and gives me more sense of security. I have pressed the alarm by mistake a few times and within seconds been connected to an operator who are so very professional. I always say im sorry in which they reply that it is certainly not a problem at all and say that is what they are there for and to make sure that i am totally well. The service is 100 percent and i totally RECOMMEND (im 94)

Peace of mind
Although I have not had to use my alarm in an emergeny I have accidentally set it of on several occasions. When this has happened a caller has answered promptly and is very polite and friendly. I would certainly recommend it.

I have used the personal alarm system a few times and each time found the alarm response excellent. This gives me a support and reassurance to live my life without fear of being alone in any crisis. The staff who answer the alarm are excellent even when I have made a call by mistake. I am thankful for the service, I live alone free from worry free from worry because I have help when needed at the press of the alarm button.M

This company does exactly what it’s meant to do. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The alarms provided are good quality and work well.
Recently I changed my Mother’s alarm to an easier to push pendant and it’s been great.

The alarm system is good, some of the support less so.
The alarm system is good, the personnel generally helpful. The system with 2 pendants the main or primary one of which has GPS tracking in it hence can be worn outside the owner's home with the confidence that she is still being looked after is excellent. It functions well and is effective and the primary pendant encourages independence even at advanced age.
However when a 94 year old loses this main pendant alarm and is told that she can not just replace the pendant but must repurchase the whole package, that is now twice or thrice the original cost - the sheen dulls considerably.

I have set off the alarm accidentally…
I have set off the alarm accidentally twice, he call was answered quickly and I was addressed by my name. I could also hear what was being said to me in spite of the fact I was NOT wearing hearing aids. I did not require help so the matter was soon resolved, but what it did do was increase my confidence in the service even more!

Poor battery power
I've found the battery to be very annoying as it doesn't last very long and I have to keep charging it up however when I need it the response is very good what's annoying is i have to charge it before I can use it which is very inconvenient and delays me by several hours sometimes, as a medical device this isn't very good at the most it might last 12 hours or if I go out and about a lot less maybe eight hours this needs to be sorted,
