Glad I found this one!

I have been looking for quite a while to find bag in a box wine (which I prefer mostly for ecological reasons, because I don't have to get rid of so much glass which is very in energy intensive in recycling) that is actually drinkable. I have been talking to quite a few of the local high end winemakers here where I live and they all refuse to sell wine in a bag-in-box because they feel it will taint there image. This is unfortunate because every once in a while I actually came across some really excellent wine that was sold directly by the liter. But those places don't necessarily ship the wine to other places in Italy.

After having tried many online vendors I have now ordered several times with Gianluca because while I would still be willing to pay more for even better wine (because my reasoning isn't to save money, but to save Co2 intensive glass bottles) this so far is the best I could find.

I'm a little sensitive to wine that is high in histamine, so the (more matured) 20/80 wasn't perfect for me but the basic Rosso Toscano and the Cabernet are an excellent choice for an uncomplicated glass of wine at the end of the day.

Shipping coasts and speed are simply sensational.

*And don't even get me started on the DYI projects you can fashion out of the empty bags!)
