I should have checked the reviews

How I wish I had taken the time to check out these reviews. Hopelessly undersized garments. I ordered a large jacket and it is comically undersized. Its at that stage I encountered the nonsense returns policy. I thought I was ordering from a UK base Company. My heart sank when I saw the shipping tracking as I guessed what was coming. AVOID.

What a total SCAM

What a total SCAM. Claiming their company was based in London and sent cheap, poor quality goods from China. On trying to return the item it was to be at my expense and probably would not reach them in their allocated time scale! Reporting to Police Action Fraud Unit. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!

SUCKED IN LIKE EVERYONE ELSE

SUCKED IN LIKE EVERYONE ELSE! DO NOT USE! THEY ARE A HUGE SCAM!

They don’t give you a straight answer to any email. The size of the clothing is 3 sizes too small. Quality is laughable and absolutely shocking!!!

Do not buy from them!!!!

SCAM!

SCAM!

Wish I’d not been sucked in. The website looks professional and claims to be a family run business in London. I bought 2 items, which arrived a month later in completely the wrong size. I immediately got in touch to start the returns process. So far they have sent one email each day, seeking further details (can you take photos; can’t find your order - need more details…) and then finally they say that goods need to be returned (at customer expense) to China. They even warn that goods may take 6 weeks to arrive, could get stuck at customs or could get lost! And you just know they will never arrive!! Total acam. I will be reporting to the Police Action Fraud unit. What a waste of £76!

Awful- don't waste your money!

Awful - total scam, do not engage. I agree with all the other reviews. What is sent is not the same as the products on the website. Cheap nasty product direct from a factory in China.. not a UK/London based Company.

AVOID

AVOID. Significantly not as described sized item arrived after a substantial wait from China (poor quality too)!! Asked for a refund and they tried getting me to pay an extra £10+ to keep the item and order another....why when a size XL is like a UK10. One email per evening do far snd nothing resolved. I don't gold out any Hope and wish I'd tried this site before throwing away £35

AVOID

AVOID. The 'company' is a SCAM. The site looks professional and claims to be a physical business in London but it doesn't exist. They send you a terrible quality version of the image on their site/instagram that matches neither quality or colour. They don't answer emails and have no return address, despite lots of statements about customer service - there is none. They basically steal your money and vanish. Have reported to the Police Action Fraud unit.

WARNING TO ALL Misleading Practices and Poor Quality

!!!!! Avoid Peper & Leafs at All Costs !!!!!

Peper & Leafs misrepresents itself as a UK-based business while operating out of China. I received poor-quality items, and when I attempted to return them, I was shocked to learn I would be responsible for paying for return shipping to China. This is both unreasonable and against UK consumer laws.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers have the right to return unsatisfactory goods for a full refund without incurring excessive return costs. Peper & Leafs ignores these regulations, offering only partial refunds.

After 16 replies to resolve this issue, they have provided a series of inadequate refund offers:

10% Refund - Offered as a way to keep the items.
25% Refund - To avoid the hassle of returns.
30% Refund - Again suggesting I keep the items.
50% Refund - Finally offered with no requirement to return the items.
60% Refund - The latest offer, which still falls short of a full refund.
70% Refund - Their most recent offer, still inadequate.
Due to their misleading practices, I am now escalating my complaint to the relevant consumer rights authorities in the UK.

I urge potential customers to do their research and consider alternatives before purchasing. This company needs to be held accountable for their actions.

The items are cheap knock offs sent…

The items are cheap knock offs sent from China that look nothing like the images. They try and discourage from providing returns by highlighting repeatedly that they won’t be liable for ‘lost items’ sent back so I imagine if you do post a return it will get ‘lost’, but they clearly haven’t heard of parcel tracking. I encourage everyone to report them to trading standards, you can easily submit a report online via Citizens Advice. They claim to be based in London but the company is registered in Amsterdam and everything is shipped from China..?

To everyone else in the same position - it will take you several emails back and forth with them but insist on them giving you an address for a refund (I don’t believe they have any capability of processing returns) and we eventually got 60% refunded which is the amount we would have received if we’d spent £30 on postage. It took about a week of back and forth but do try and get something back from them.

This is a scam operation of low quality Chinese goods disguised as a London business

This is a scam. Bought an outdoor jacket and trouser as well as a blazer. Total scam. The material was cheap. The blazzer stitching was so bad I couldn’t fit one arm in. And their return policy is a scam saying that if things get lost in transit because their factory is in China and their central warehouse is who-knows-where returns may be lost in transit and hence they won’t refund. A scam!

If there was a 0 star I would give it…

If there was a 0 star I would give it that
My advice is DO NOT engage with this company, quality of clothing is dreadful, and no way can you return anything. Email them, they tell you it has to be returned to China at your expense. They offer you a 10% refund, and tell you to sell it to your friend! I would never insult my friends by doing that!
I wish I had read these reviews before ordering and wasting my money.
Do not waste YOUR money, stay well clear !
