Have wanted some Penelope Chilvers boots for a while now, but as they are a bit out of my price range I have resisted, until a couple weeks ago when they offered 30% off on selected styles. So delighted I finally took the plunge and splurge on a pair, they are gorgeous, such quality is worth the price. I was unsure as to the size to order so placed an order my my usual size of 6.5 (I am usually a size 6-6.5), they arrived the next day which really impressed me since most firms take at leat 3-5 days to ship to the far north even when they state next day delivery, this is not so with Penelope Chilvers. Sadly the boots seem to run small so I immediately placed an order for a size 7 and returned the 6.5. The whole process was so easy and the size 7 boots arrived the next day and are just what I wanted. Yes these boots cost more than some on the market, but I feel one gets what they pay for and the boots will last for many years to come because they are quality in every way. I am now dreaming of future purchases from Penelope Chilvers, next on my list will perhaps be a pair of shoes.

Shoes are really great, but promo code for free shipping did not work, while it was in date, I emailed - no answer for a week, so I ordered anyway, but left with the feeling "they can't be bothered"

Boots were great - very comfy and high quality. Refreshing to have the parcel delivered in a paper packaging rather than plastic!

My expectations were far exceeded when I received my purchase!! Great quality boots that fit perfectly as expected and to size. Super comfy and pre-treated waterproofed too. Quick delivery nicely packaged - a fabric bag to keep them in inside their box - lovely boots, arrived a few days after ordering. Cannot recommend brand and their products enough! Thank you :)

Excellent quick delivery and beautiful product

I love this brand. I have a pair of boots, the shepherdess sandals and metallic leather espadrilles, they are all investments. The quality and fit is fantastic, they were all comfortable straight away. Customer services were also very helpful when I emailed a query.

As a mail order customer, I appreciated the accurate, detailed product info and pictures, the speedy delivery and quality of packaging. As someone with big feet (a very good size 42), I was delighted that the beautiful gold shoes did fit, were comfortable and contrived to make those feet look almost dainty!

I am a customer since 3 years and have only good things to say: The shoes are really really beautiful and chic and of a fantastic quality. I am German, I know about good quality!!!

I have wide, sensitive feet and with the wrong pair of shoes, it can get a bit painful for me.
Not with shoes from Penelope Chilvers.
My favourites are the loafers, and I am currently waiting for my fourth pair of loafers, but I have also a pair of clogs, velvet ballet pumps, leopard trainers, retro sneakers and since recently, 2 pairs of sandals. I just realise how many pairs I already own, but they are worn daily and I don't want any other shoes any more!

In this review I want to tell the tale of how PC customer service helped me to successfully get delivered a pair of beautifuly Mortimer Plaited sandals to a remote South Eastern small island in the Greek Aegean.
No problem to ship my orders to Germany, where I live.
But to Kalymnos in the Dodecanes? Well what can I say, they managed.
It's where I usually spend my summer holidays with the Greek part of my family. My ancient sandals (not PC) gave up their ghost and I needed a new pair asap.
Choice in Athens fantastic, but on a small island not so great with a size 41 when all shoes have to be imported from the mainland. Did not want to waste good money on an obvious interim pair and only buy a proper pair when back basically after summer/sandals' time.
So let's get it right the first time and on to the PC website and picked a pair, and ... then the problem in the order process started.
Dodecanese not in the list. Also something did not work out with Greek website and then sudden switches back to the German where my usual profiles wants PC to ship to.
So it seemed not possible initially and was maybe too remote of an area? How to send them when Greek adress was not listed. I was instructed by customer service to pick from the Greek website not from the German but then it threw me always back from Greek to German site when I was proceeding to payment.
Long story short and a few tries later, I found the trick was to create a new Greek adress first in my same profile and then start the process so it did not take me from German to Greek website. When shipping region of Dodecanese did not come up as such in the list, it worked to find something more general of a direction. When to proceed to the choice of area, I could somehow find some suggestions pop up from other customers and former addresses, and from there, it was eventually possible to insert my own Greek adress.
So not a straightforward process, but where there is a will...
Customer Service wrapped the package nice and tight and with DHL Express, ship and the Greek ACS Courier, it arrived about 5-6 days later on my remote island of Kalymnos. To Germany it is 3-4 days, so well done.
And in my new sandals (the Mortimer Plaited) I am living all summer now.
Thrilled to bits!!!

Quick delivery nicely packaged lovely boots . Bit tougher / harder under foot than I anticipated but brilliant colour and gorgeous lining . Well made I love them and will wear them a lot !

Very easy to order online. Absolutely love the shoes the velvet is gorgeous and the shoe design so comfortable. Just perfect!

All my questions were answered clearly as well as easy guidance on how to find the necessary accessories on the website

Beautiful shoes, felt comfy in them all day and evening at my Son's wedding. Great packaging too, a fabric bag to keep them in within the box they arrived in.

Lovely sandals, very well made - I usually take a 5 (38) and found these to come up small, so had to change them for a 39.

Very nice quality product with accurate size guides. My expectations were exceeded when I received my purchase. Do wish deliveries were free - almost all purchases are at least GBP 50 + and most companies offer free delivery with such purchases.
