I came across this company through a friend recommendation.
I’ve just completed the Pedal Britain 🇬🇧 1,000 miles cycle ride from Land’s End to John o’ Groats in memory of my late husband. As a solo traveller from the very first pedal it was the experience of a lifetime. And although they asked us to leave a review , I would have done anyway.
Paul and Bob, our tireless leaders, worked really hard. Their patience, encouragement, and good humour carried us all the way through Cornwall’s brutal hills, over Dartmoor , and across the endless rolling countryside that seemed to stretch for ever. Nothing was too much trouble for them – whether it was helping us keep the bikes rolling, or making sure every lunch stop ran like clockwork.
The food was great. Every stop had snacks in abundance with flapjacks, fruit, and treats.
The hotels we stayed in were so memorable, – from characterful country inns to welcoming Highland hideaways. The organisation was well planned, to the point where we riders could focus on turning the pedals. You get to see the ever-changing beauty of Britain – Cheddar Gorge, the Lake District climbs, Glasgow’s bustle, the Highlands’ ruggedness .
The whole adventure was rounded off with a curry night and presentation evening in Inverness – laughter, tears, and stories flowing as every rider reflected on what had brought them there. Everyone was riding for their own reasons.
The route is cleverly designed to pass various bike shops along the way, which a few of us needed to visit for extra supplies and essential repairs , this took the mileage total to above the thousand mile mark which is really cool.
If you are ever thinking of taking on this challenge, don’t hesitate to use Pedal Britain and give Darren a call for reassurance. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. I came across them myself through a recommendation from a friend and they didn’t disappoint.
End to End of France, St Malo to Nice
I have just got from the End to End of France tour. What a fantastic experience, great routes, well planned and thought out. Our two guides Mick and Simon were excellent, nothing was to much trouble. Food and accomodation was excellent. We stayed in some amazing French villages. Most of the roads were a dream to cycle on. The French countryside blew me away. Scenary was amazing, jaw dropping gorges, river valleys you name it this tour had it all! I would thoroughly recommend Pedal Britain this was my 4th tour with them, cannot fault them👍🚴🇫🇷
September LEJOG
I did the September 2025 LEJOG and despite some awful weather, Paul and Bob always got us to our destinations safely and in good spirits. The brew stops were just when you needed them and well stocked with what you wanted (Paul takes requests). All the hotels and lunch stops were good quality.
I'd recommend Pedal Britain to anyone wanting to do an interesting cycle tour.
LEJOG Sept 2025 with Pedal Britain
Riding LEJOG in September 2025 was a most enjoyable and memorable experience. From the point of booking the information provided was professional, timely and thorough and set high standards maintained throughout the trip. Of course the team of Bob and Paul on the road made the ride a fantastic experience. Paul’s daily briefings coupled with well stocked brew stops and well chosen locations covered everyone’s requirements on the road. As a team they melded a diverse group into a team who supported and encouraged one another and got us all to JOG with smiles on our faces and a great sense of achievement.
I can’t recommend Pedal Britain highly enough.
LEJOG September 2025
I had a wonderful time completing LEJOG in September 2025. It is clear how much planning and logistics goes into organising a large and varied group. Our guides, Paul and Bob, were encouraging and professional. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a successful trip and everything we asked for at the brew stops. The accommodation was consistently good and we were treated with some fantastic lunch stops. I would definitely book with Pedal Britain again.
September 2025 LEJOG
I had a great experience on the September LEJOG tour, riding with old and new friends and being looked after by our Guides Paul and Bob.
Managing the varied needs of a large and varied group during a full day was a challenge. But we got used to the 5 minute deadlines for those of us who took a bit longer, and were well fed along the way.
Between the Guides and the group we quickly developed into a happy and supportive team. Accommodation was good and at times excellent.
Thanks again to our Guides and the group for a great tour.
C2M, St Malo to Nice
We had a great time on the Pedal Britain trip. A fabulous quiet route all the way from St Malo to Nice with a good range of hotels, serving French food. The brew stops provided by Pedal Britain team were most appreciated. A big shout out to Mick, Simon and Lewis for looking after us so well. Also to Darren for providing us with the opportunity to take such a unique holiday. We anticipate going on an other adventure in the near future.
THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY St-Malo to Nice
THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY St-Malo to Nice. Amazing, well done the Pedal Britain Team. All I had to do was ride my bike, soak up the scenery and refuel myself at the splendid brew stops & lunch locations. Great food en route, even watched the mechanic fix my bike while I was having 2nd’s one day, not forgetting the washer-upper (important part of the team). I felt like a professional. I’ll Be Back. Regards Tony
C2M St.Malo to Nice
First time I’ve used Pedal Britain and what an experience riding from St.Malo to Nice. The organisation accommodation and food was first class. A special mention to Darren who organised the trip and Mike and Simon who kept us fed and encouraged us all the way ( thanks guys). Will be back when I’ve decided on the next tour.
The best bike touring company
The organisation, the route, the hotels were all excellent. However the most important factor is the people Mick and Simon were great at encouraging us when the weather went sour, at keeping us motivated when the hills challenged us , and kept us cheerful and happy throughout.
Absolutely fantastic
From the moment of signing up I was impressed with the support and information available - kit list, coach recommendations etc. Darren pitched the information at just the right level of detail and meant I arrived for LEJOG perfectly prepared. Once I arrived I felt in very safe hands with Rad and Ash (and later Les) who were absolutely fantastic at all of the logistics of the trip and made the whole thing possible (mentally for me, as well as the logistics). Their passion for cycling, leadership skills and attention to detail made it seamless and for the trip to run without a hitch. The route and accommodation were fantastic - plus lots of great food stops - all of the brew stops, lunches and dinners. It’s a wonderful trip and I highly recommend Pedal Britain to anyone thinking of doing it.
LEJOG July-August 2025
I had an amazing holiday with Pedal Britain. Darren, Bob and Hayden were fantastic and looked after us all so well. Everything was first rate - from the routes, to the daily specific road advice, to the brew stops and lunches, to looking after our bikes and luggage - nothing was left to chance. They were very well organised and went above and beyond with good humour to make sure that everybody had a great time and had what they needed to succeed. I would have no hesitation in recommending Pedal Britain and would love to do another one of their rides in the future.

Thanks to Darren, Bob and Hayden for this fantastic tour.
Great experience
Great experience. Everything better than expectation. Guides were incredibly helpful, informative, professional and engaging.
Hotels/lunches and Brew Stops were excellent. Couldn’t fault the whole process.
Core Memory Moments all the way!
From the crew supporting the riders, to the energy, and the blessing of the weather this has been the most fun lejog I've ever done! You feel part of a community with a common goal and every step is so comfortable (minus the sore bun from 14 days in the saddle). Darren and the team are so attentive from Day 0 of signing up all the way up to preparing for the trip and went above and beyond over the 14 days! It was a magical 2 weeks that I would recommend anyone to experience themselves!
Wonderfully organised with exceptional support
Very well organised. The route was wonderful - must have been very carefully planned to be scenic on quiet roads with a good balance of challenges. The care and attention of the guides was outstanding… supporting us with energy and lively good humour.
Brew stops were well stocked - just when needed. Lunch stops and hotels kept us well fed and rested with some lovely locations along the route.
I’m already missing the camaraderie of the group tbh.
I joined the LEJOG tour with Pedal…
I joined the LEJOG tour with Pedal Britain in July 25 It was an amazing experience. The group got along really well together. Everything went really smoothly. Guides Radu,Paul and Ashley were excellent and very helpful in every way.
This is a challenging cycle but with the team at Pedal Britain it's achievable. Thanks Darren and the team at Pedal Britain.
Fantastic way to see Great Britain
I’m very impressed by how well this cycling tour is planned and organised. Every detail has been carefully considered, and everything works seamlessly. The team is positive, supportive, and places a strong emphasis on safety. The daily schedule is well thought out, the hotels are comfortable, and the food is delicious. If your cycling fitness is up to the task, I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour.
