Shout out to Abi 💐
We have had a horrendous time with Currys. We thought that a “reputable” company like Currys was THE place to buy our large investment of a computer but how wrong we were. Sure, they took our money fast enough but didn’t deliver on the goods. We phoned several times and put on hold for 30 minutes plus, only to be told our computer hadn’t been ordered, next it hadn’t been dispatched and so on, and so on.
But our last and thankfully final call was made this week and we were fortunate enough to talk to a SUPERB customer support member, Abi. (She’s not allowed to give her surname). She was amazing! She listened patiently to all our concerns and why we were so unhappy, and with honesty and empathy, she handled our situation like a real professional. Abi is the only positive to come out of our hugely negative experience.
We have now received our refund successfully and will be taking our business elsewhere. But we want to thank Abi for restoring our faith, NOT, in Currys but certainly in humanity. You are a great reminder that there are still individuals around who genuinely care about others. So although this review has a 1 star, Abi gets a 5* from us!!!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ☀️
Worst customer service ever, stay away!
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever seen. I bought an item at the beginning of December, it was faulty, so I requested a refund. DPD collected the item on December 10 and I have not heard anything since, no one contacted me and no refund was done. They don't reply to emails at all and every call to their customer service ends up the same - advisor tells me that they'll escalate the case and I will be contacted shortly, but nothing happens. Stay away at all costs!
Absolutely horrendous company
Absolutely horrendous company.
treat staff like slaves and pay them little to nothing. Nothing EVER in stock and half of them don't know what they are even talking about because the management is more focused on selling them insurance they don't even need rather than teaching them about a product.
A dreadful company to deal with
A dreadful company to deal with, dishonest, incompetent, no ethics or morals and appalling customer service which takes hours to get through to and then you get cut off every time.... I'm still waiting for a refund for a cancelled order (had to be cancelled as items i was told they had in stock, 2 days later turned out they didn't...) and am going to take this matter to the next level very shortly... Avoid at all costs, you have been warned.
Shocking experience
Shocking experience. NEVER BUY THE INSURANCE!!!! I dropped a defective printer in and was told I would get a new one in 1-2 weeks. That was Oct 3rd 2020, it it now Dec 18th - no contact, no printer. I, however, have tried repeatedly to contact them. The store in Cork NEVER has answered the phone. The customer service helpline always sounds helpful - even if I have to be on hold for more than 30 minutes each time to talk to someone. But no satisfaction. The helpline promises me the manager of the Cork store will call back within 24 hours - 3 times so far. Never a call. I want a full refund, for the printer, the insurance and the ink I bought for a printer I don't have. ASAP.
Failure to get a refund
I purchased a washing Machine from Currys on line
I changed my mind and my initial order was canceled. I then purchased a different washing machine from Curry's. However, in order to do this, I was instructed to cancel my first order, then pay fom my new one and then my refund would follow. That was on November 26th and I am still waiting. My emails and phone calls have been to no avail and I am now in the process of going to the small claims court. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
Terrible Service.Ordered a shark cordless vacuum cleaner…
Ordered a shark cordless vacuum cleaner online on the 27th Nov. They said it was it was in stock and would be delivered by 3rd Dec. No sign of it. Spent two days trying to contact them. When I did get through I had to wait 30 minutes to speak to someone. They told me it was not in stock and didn't know when they would have. The woman was snooty and abrupt, she could not get me off the line quick enough when I asked for a refund. I would never dealt with them again.
parcel delivered opened
Bought a Kindle. The package came opened and the product box torn.
Spent 50 min in the phone trying to sort my issue. I was told that, firstly they will have to collect the item and then send me a new. However, they were unable to provide me with a date of when I will get the new product. The item was intended to be a Birthday present. Of course, the birthday experience was ruined.

Great experience with pc world this time. Very efficient and delivery drivers, Ciarán and Warren were brilliant. Start to finish a really good service at a great price. Only reason for 4 stars is that they could provide an irish number for enquiries.
Speedy Service
I had to have my 6 month old HP laptop collected by Team KnowHow for repair on Tuesday, as the mouse and screen kept freezing. Given the current circumstances I was a little worried about how long the process would take, from my laptop's collection to it's return. However, they were able to collect it the day after my first phone call, and promised I would get it back the following Tuesday! Imagine my surprise when I opened the door this afternoon (Saturday!) to a driver who was brandishing my laptop. 3/4 days earlier than expected!! Such a pleasant surprise!! Thank you Team KnowHow. The only reason you did not get 5 stars is because I did not get the promised text message or email to tell me my laptop was on it's way!!...... Thankful that I'm self isolating otherwise I might not have been in!! LOL!!!

I was buying a few expensive thing for the house...at the TV section, they were really helpful, they knew what I want and provided to me...BUT, upstairs at the washing machine section, the lady did not know a clue about any of those machines, when I asked why is this one €150 more expensive than the one beside it. She started reading brochure, but, both brochures were exactly the same, same spec, diff price, then she said "ah well, this one was built better" OMG
Me and my brother were trying to buy a…
Me and my brother were trying to buy a TV on finance,
At the start we were dealing with a guy called Geldon,
He was very helpful, he went above and beyond to help us out, but when he tried to put finance on my brother it was rejected so I wanted to try it on my name. Geldon suggested us what documents to get and go back so he could try it on my name. We got all the documents we needed and went back to the store about 17:20. Geldon asked the manager if we could go through to put finance on my name as we had all the necessary documents the manger said no it’s to late to put through a finance it takes an hour. Even though when he did it for my brother it took 20 minutes. The manger Colin was so very rude and ignorant, we were very unhappy with him, as a manger he is supposed to give a good example to employees not to treat customer like that.
He said to us come back tomorrow you could do it then he said I need bank statement, when I went today there was a very nice guy called Petter that try to help us out, I showed him the bank statement then he told me that I don’t need bank statement. It’s very clear that manager Colin needs some training on how to deal with customers and get facts right, not to ask customers to go print unnecessary documents!! As customers we were very disappointed with the service that your manager offers and will not be coming back to the store and the reason for that would be your Ignorant manger you have!!
Worst customer service ever !!!
I bought a neff hob on currys.ie website on the 12th of Oct and emailed them the day after as I noticed I had my Eircode down incorrectly. 6 days later and no response to my email. Rang their customer service service over 10 times last week and to actual get to speak to someone takes nearly 10 mins. Ever time I rang I asked them about my order and was assured it was shipped and in its way. I rang again today and asked the agent to check my eircode , they still hadn’t changed it !!! customer service agent I was dealing with was extremely rude told me it wasn’t possible to change the eircode and I would have to cancel the order, which I had already paid for, and set a new one up. Seriously not possible to change an eircode. Curry’s have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED AND THEY DONT DESERVE TO HAVE A BUSINESS!!! trust pilot can I suggest you allow minus ratings to be allowed
Curry’s need to look at their crap IT System which will allow a customer to create an account and edit their delivery address, but , doesn’t allow the customer to change the delivery address on the ORDER THEY RAISED AND PAID FOR. Customer service told me it was because of GPDR which it totally incorrect...if that was the case then the fact it was MY OWN ACCOUNT SHOULD MEAN I COULD GO INTO MY ACCOUNT AND CHANGE IT MYSELF....I GIVE UP

Hi went to currys pc world in liffey Valley dublin today to inquire about a computer that was only on sale on the web and when i say it's on sale it would have cost me about 1050E.The salesman i ask told me that the computer was not available in ireland as i walked away I said thanks for your help.when i got home i went on line to look again.I looked at curry's pc world northern ireland and yes they have them so got in my car back to pc world to speak to the salesman i spoke to earlier to be told that's a different country and we can't help.so curry's pc world in northern ireland is not the same company as dublin and to make it harder i can't even email them in northern ireland.
Always a great help in Waterford
Ignorant Managers in-store
Went to PC World in Galway to purchase a voucher for my mother's birthday as she was looking to buy a new laptop. Having purchased from them before, and given their range in-store I decided to opt with Currys PC World.
Upon purchasing the voucher using my credit card. Input my pin, and was authorised. PC World's system would not load the voucher card.
The store assistant did not deal with me directly, instead she just walked off and chatted to a manager. The manager then informed me that the payment was not processed. This turned out not to be true as my pin was accepted, transaction authorised (with a green tick on the keypad), which was later verified by my bank.
The available balance WAS taken from my credit card. So I've paid for a product, but now I'm not receiving it due to PC Worlds IT system not working correctly (the irony of it).
Firstly, this is illegal! Something should have been done immediately to resolve this. At this point, if a manager said they'd take ownership of it and look into it over the coming days I would've been quite happy.
I was told that this would be refunded in a number of days... but was TOLD that the problem was with my bank (which is untrue). I immediately called my bank in-store for the manager to speak to but they would not oblige as they said it was not their issue. At this point my bank was on the phone and willing to speak with them at the front desk. All I wanted was a bit of reassurance to make sure someone in-store would look after this problem.
The manager then told me the head office customer support was uncontactable at the weekend. So I then magicly contacted them myself! Woah, how did I manage to do that?! :O
After 20 minutes on hold I managed to get through to someone to tell him of my experience. In fairness, he did take it seriously, but it shouldnt come to this.
In-store experience was appalling. Two separate managers were very ignorant & dismissive to me from the get-go. Literally couldnt have cared less about the issue. Don't know what their issue is but some serious lack of ownership of their own failure.
So would i "Trust" PC World again? Definitely not... Going to an Irish retailer from now on.
Freezer shopping
Went here at weekend. (chadderton ) I'm mask exempt due to severe asthma. Got to door and was accosted by staff member in front of a line of other customers.person explained it was gov guidelines to which I explained it's gov guidelines that dictate some people are exempt. Guy would not have it. Argued for some minutes while in line. Seems they pick and choose which guidelines they take notice of. I held a mask ( not attached over face till I was in store then removed it. Also noticed 50% of staff wearing under nose. ( so actualy mo point ). This company at risk of being reported under the disability discrimination act 2010 by myself. Guy said he could take my order at the door. ( 🤔🤔) 🤷🏼♀️ So they still want my cash. How I'm supposed to browse freezers from the door I'm unsure. Very very bad service If you're going to quote gov guidelines do ur research first and know them all. Disabled people have rights too. They also require u to wear gloves in store but there are no signs for this so u need a staff member to follow u round opening doors. Need to think this out better pc. No other shops on the estate excluded me. Or made the fuss that u did. We bought elsewhere. !!! Where we were welcomed
Guys Never Ever order a online from…
Guys Never Ever order a online from this Company as they really cheat a Customers. Order 14 inch a 2 in 1 laptop and instead of this they delivered to me a 15.6 inch completely different brand laptop which is 200 euro cheap than my in order. When I called to Customers Service and ask how this is possible to do mistake with a Brand, with a size of the screen and with a colour of product( in my order the laptop should arrived in blue colour, and this cheap laptop which i received was silver) i simply got a silence and so stupid twisted that this can happening. My second question was why then I not received a some last model of Apple or of Samsung or Dell XPS instead this cheap one which i met a totally silence from other side of the line and operator simply just transferred a call to somebody else which present himself as a manager on Duty. His name was Sohim and to be honest He apologised a few times and afrer that promised that i will got a refund as i already refused a replacement. So this was on Friday, and today is a Monday and still no calls,no e-mails regarding a full refund how he promised. I'm very upset just because this was a birthday present to my child and I'm pretty sure that this cheap laptop was send to me by reason instead of mistake.....
Conclusion: Guys if you need to buy something simply just go to somebody else instead to do shopping from this Company, and forget about a smooth and trouble less on-line purchase as this is the only Way to avoid a huge disappointment. I hear before lots of stories about specially sending a wrong products from my Friends as well but now I'm completely sure that i Never Ever again will going to do any purchase from this Company which name sound that cheap like a Chinese curry from a cheap take away Shop...🤔🤔🤔
